Friends, if you are choosing a place to stay in Istanbul, do not settle for this hotel. Its only advantage is its location. After walking a little way down the street, you will come out to the blue Mosque. That's where the advantages end.
Initially, they indicated that they needed a room with two separate beds and this was confirmed at the time of booking, but for some reason they gave a different one upon check-in: one and a half double beds and a shower door, through which only someone thin could squeeze, because the door no longer opened. Now imagine that after moving and flying, you want to relax, but you probably won't be able to do it here. After they contacted and arranged a showdown with the local tour operator, they were moved to the room opposite the next day. Two beds, bigger seats, and even a bathtub rather than a shower. But they weren't happy for long. In the evenings, to get hot water, it had to be drained for a long time. And considering that there was trouble with plumbing in the rooms, a flood formed in the bathroom and everything had to be covered with towels (photo attached)
There's mold and mildew in the bathroom.
There's nothing to say about breakfast, it's as meager as possible. Cucumber, tomato, egg (there's a variety: boiled or omelet) and sausages. Basically everything. Only the amazing bread saved. So they ate it
The last point was the day of departure, the transfer was at 10 a.m., and breakfast was at 7:30 a.m. Of course, we decided to have a hearty breakfast before the long journey, but that was not the case! Apparently we were the last ones left in this wonderful hotel, so we went downstairs, and there were 2 slices of cheese, 2 slices of sausage, a slice of tomato and 2 olives on the table for us. Thank God the tea was poured. They asked for bread. The employee guy ran to the nearest market and brought bread. Well, that's how it turns out bread is full again.
In general, my advice is to look for something better here.
Friendly attitude of the staff. The equipment, alas, is worn out. And so much so that routine repairs won't help. That's probably why it's not being repaired.
In the first room, where we were directed, there was a safe with the bolts pulled out, in order to use it, we needed a password that no one knew. There was a mini fridge that did not freeze. The reception was very surprised by this, they tried to fix it, but alas. Don't they check the numbers before handing in? Apparently not.
The problem was solved - we were given another room with a larger area. I was pleased, thanks to the staff. The safe and refrigerator were working in the new room, but there was also a plumbing problem - the shower hose was leaking, and water was leaking onto the floor. Of course, they couldn't replace the hose. And as I understand it, the problem is in the design of the bathtub. To replace the hose, the tub must be moved away from the wall and then the joint must be sealed again. That's why I'm writing that maintenance won't help.
Breakfast - there are 7 salads, sausages, omelette to choose from. The bad thing is that the line-up doesn't change, it's the same every day. Coffee in a kettle, tea bags. That was enough. You won't stay hungry, but it's monotonous.
Great hotel, we had a rest at the end of February, cleaning every day, the rooms for this price are great! TV, split! Nice beds, warm blankets! The reception staff was friendly and the receptionists were friendly. Everything was explained and prompted on each question. Maybe we'll come back!
