Great hotel! The location is great, 5 minutes to fountain square, many restaurants 10 minutes to the old town, ATMs and an exchanger 5-10 minutes, the rooms were excellent, we had a deluxe, the water was replenished daily, towels were also changed and garbage was removed, the speed of the workers was surprised, while we were at breakfast we came to the room everything is clean and delicious aroma, girls just bees🔥Breakfasts are just a delight 😍red and black caviar every day, I haven't seen this anywhere else, scrambled eggs, omelet, rice, shakshka, sausages are always there, everything is delicious, there is always enough food no matter how much you come, the local fruits are just incredible! An unexpected bonus was the free extension of the room until 16:00 on the day of departure! Thank you very much, we will definitely come back
Great location, close to the old town. You can walk. Nice, clean rooms, large bathroom. Some rooms have balconies. Excellent room cleaning (we had a night check-out, the room was cleaned well anyway). Four stars for a small variety at breakfast, a small amount of fruit. Although all the food is delicious. Also, the "restaurant" itself is very small and looks more like a dining room
The most disgusting hotel in Baku
1. Upon arrival, on 6.01.25, the reception staff informed that they were not expecting guests, there were no rooms, our reservation was not available, and the hotel did not confirm it..
The deluxe room was booked and paid for before arrival via the OneTwoTrip website.
2. We had confirmation of the reservation and payment for 3 days from 5.01 to 08.01 from onetwotrip (payment for a deluxe room).
3. After clarifying and communicating with the reception staff, we were accommodated in a standard room (small room, without towels, slippers, bathrobes, etc.
After the demands to change the room to a deluxe room that we had already paid for, we were put in a paid deluxe room (307).
It was a late check-in and all these clarifications fell on the night, we had just arrived, we were tired and from the road.
4. After the usual use of the shower cabin 06.01, the glass of the shower cabin on the skids split into small fragments when opened and the fragments severely injured the guest (multiple scratches to the point of blood on two hands and feet)
5. The reception staff demanded compensation for the cost of the glass and the 170 manat works. They categorically refused to draw up an act. If the amount of 170 manat was not paid, the reception staff threatened to evict us from the hotel on 07.01.
The breakfast is good.
If the windows face the roadway, it's noisy.
Conversations can be heard in the hallway in the room.
The sink was leaking.
I don't recommend it)
Unfortunately, if your windows do not face the courtyard, be prepared to listen to the noise of passing cars until late in the evening, or even until half the night.
Room cleaning for 4. You can find the maid's hair on the plumbing, shifted or moved your personal belongings, which are lying on the table and do not bother anyone... And I have a question, why does the maid so persistently tuck a blanket under the mattress from day to day, if I take it out every time, because it is obvious that a blanket tucked under the mattress cannot be stolen?))) Every time you have to take out the blanket with an effort, then adjust the sheet, because she also climbs out with the blanket. Who came up with this?)))
Unfortunately, our family vacation in Baku was overshadowed by a negative experience with the City Park Hotel through Booking.com .
I understand that many hoteliers want to earn money for the duration of Formula 1, but canceling a reservation on the day of arrival, when the price was 2 times higher than the usual period, does not seem to be the best solution in terms of long-term strategy and reputation of the City Park Hotel.
We booked the hotel two weeks before arrival, and on the day of check-in, as soon as we arrived in Baku, we received a message that the reservation was canceled due to an "incorrect payment card". It's strange, because there were no similar problems with the card with other hotels during our trip.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we found out that there were no rooms, but we were offered to book apartments in a "friendly company" at a price comparable to the hotel, but clearly not corresponding to the declared class. In such a situation, when most of the hotels in the city are already booked, there are practically no alternatives!
This is our first negative experience with the City Park Hotel through Booking.com And we travel a lot. I hope it was an accident and a misunderstanding(
Great hotel! The receptionist is a good girl! The room is new and spacious. The shower room is above praise. The only downside, it was cool. We visited Baku in January. But damn, it's cold everywhere in Baku in winter. Heating is very weak. So it was better in the room on the general background than everywhere else. I'm used to it being warm indoors in Russia in winter).
Otherwise, Baku is beautiful, the hotel is excellent. I recommend
Which is good:
- Daily room cleaning
- Friendly and helpful staff. All will be brought up, they will give you what you need
- Convenient location of the hotel
Didn't like it:
There is some kind of trouble with nutrition, and something needs to be done urgently.
- Everything that should be hot is cold: scrambled eggs, porridge. Until you tell them, they won't pay attention
- Liquid porridge - solid water
- There are no forks, and no one cares. Despite the fact that 4 people are walking in the hall. And the room is small. Why are they put there?
- Coffee is absent as a drink. What is being poured is not coffee.
- Plates are snatched from under the nose from the table when they haven't finished yet. I put a little bit of porridge to try - I haven't even had time yet, they've already taken it away.
- The juice is highly diluted
- A lot of bread. Stuffing your stomach with a bun in the morning is not breakfast
- The boys who walk in the hall do not understand, okay, in Russian, and they do not speak English.
- Breakfast until 11. But there are no scrambled eggs at 9.30. Is the cook not coping?
Whatever the good impression of the hotel, the staff, but such a breakfast kills everything good. We came in the morning to see what they would offer us today, if there were a few berries, and went to have breakfast and drink coffee in a coffee shop.
Because of the breakfast, I got the impression that this is not a 4*, but a "troika"
Good location of the hotel, near the old town, the center, a lot of shops, restaurants, near our hotel there was a supermarket, a fruit shop. The hotel has good breakfasts, good service, room cleaning every day, the only minus at night the trash rattled, or what was unloaded in the store can be heard through the closed window, take a room with a patio. The hotel staff helped us, called a taxi, answered all questions in Russian. We liked Baku !
The standard room was quite normal. Two bottles of water every day. Bathroom accessories. It is very close to the center. That's all the advantages. It is very noisy in the evenings. Hindus live in the hotel and are very noisy. The buffet is not very good. The very center is 5 minutes away at a leisurely pace. There is a 24-hour Bravo supermarket in the building where the hotel is located.
The hotel is good, and everything is written about its good qualities in previous reviews. But there are minor flaws. For example:
1. I am not afraid of drafts and sleep (in my central Russia) with open windows / panes all year round. But here the siphon came from the CLOSED window so that I slept wrapped up like a butterfly doll. We need to do something about it. There are people who are uncomfortable with drafts.
2. Breakfast for four. Minus 1 point for a shrunken fried egg, well, you can't do that! I was also amused by the type of black caviar on zaatrak, from oil, or something. Well, let's see who is from the USSR, it is clear that this is not black caviar.
The hotel is nice, the rooms are cozy and clean, the staff is friendly. But!!! On the last morning before departure, I got acute food poisoning at breakfast with all the consequences and departures. I didn't even use tap water to wash the brush, I washed my hands all the time. It was after breakfast that I felt bad. I don't see any other options.
Summary: living there is OK. I do not recommend eating
A wonderful hotel! Cleanliness everywhere, the aroma of freshness in the rooms. Excellent breakfast. And the staff is generally a separate conversation. They are polite and always ready to help with any question. Thank them very much!
Great hotel. Convenient location - the center, 10 min. walk to the Inner city. Good breakfasts, daily cleaning and change of towels, plus coffee, tea, water. Special thanks to Samir and Kenul at the reception! Very nice and customer-oriented people!🤝
The rooms are small, the mattress is extremely uncomfortable.
Breakfast is tolerable, but not delicious. The coffee is terrible.
The staff is polite enough.
It is convenient to walk from the hotel to the nearest park, fountain Square and further to the historical center.
There is no lobby at the reception, steep stairs, the restaurant is open only for breakfast. Close to the city center, clean. The food for breakfast is delicious
A very good hotel, warm-hearted people, respond to any request, a variety of breakfasts, an abundance of fruits! The location is great!4-the furniture is a little old, for whom it is very important, but otherwise just wonderful!
I do not advise anyone to book this hotel. We booked accommodation in it three (!) months in advance with full prepayment. On the day of departure to Baku, we were informed that the hotel was overbooking, and there was no place for us. I had to look for another hotel in a hurry.
The room stock is new, they upgraded my category and did not climb into the bottle with check-in at 14 o'clock, at 12:40 I was already in the room. If you come to breakfast early, you can grab some caviar! Everything is fine, thanks a lot to the staff) for Baku and for such a price (90 manats) It's a gift. Yes, the lobby is small. But here all the buildings are compact, what can you do. But the location is perfect — today, after the eviction, I'm going to explore the surrounding bars where I haven't reached yet.
A small hotel in the tourist part of the city. The prices are acceptable, the rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel implies only your room and a place for breakfast. There is nothing else, but it is not stated. The breakfasts are not bad, there is not much choice, but there is enough. Rooms are cleaned every day. The staff is polite, they always help with suitcases. The price is acceptable.
Of the minuses: there was a problem with the window, it does not close well, very poor sound insulation (you can hear everything that happens in the corridor, in the next room or on the street, even with the window closed), the iron was often brought with pieces of burnt fabric (possibly from other guests, but needed to be cleaned), and it was necessary ironing white shirts.
Great hotel! Many thanks to the staff! Excellent service! Wonderful cuisine! Friendly, friendly staff! Cleanliness! We will definitely stay at the same hotel if we are lucky enough to visit Baku again! We recommend it to everyone!
The drinking guys from the east were screaming all night. The staff refused to calm them down. The whole floor did not sleep until 7 a.m. and snorted tobacco and fumes in their rooms
