It's strange that such a small rating. The hotel is very good for the Fatih area.
Who is confused by the "slums" there are other areas in Istanbul, but I like this area. It's kind of authentic or something. And absolutely safe.
Near the metro is a big plus. There is a 24-hour shop 50 meters away.
And of course the seagull at breakfast is a bomb!!))) I think she's on their staff))
And by the way, the breakfasts are very decent for hotels in this area, I say so because there is something to compare it with.
There are also two-room rooms, which is convenient if you are traveling with a family, like us.
We recently arrived from Istanbul. We had a great rest with my husband. We stayed at this hotel, booked directly without prepayment 👍 for 7 nights 25 thousand rubles. This is a very good price. The receptionists were very friendly. We checked into 301 rooms on the 3rd floor with a balcony facing the street overlooking the port and the sea. 1 double bed. The room is generally normal. Of course, there are some points, but we don't find fault. The noise is certainly bad. The pillows are very uncomfortable and hard, but they were replaced without any problems. We liked the breakfasts. There is a great view on the terrace, a seagull sits every morning. The hot stuff was changed every day, but otherwise there are enough eggs, olives, vegetables, herbs, cheeses, etc. This hotel has a good location, we walked to the prices, but you can also take the tram
there is a bus stop nearby. The metro is 5 minutes away. The Marmara train is also nearby. We mostly walked to Sultanahmet Square. For 20-25 with pleasure. I recommend the hotel. For that kind of money, it's super. I don't think you need to take expensive hotels, as you only come to wash and sleep. By Havaist bus you get to the rest of Aksaray and a 10-minute walk to the hotel, which was also very convenient👍
A good hotel, very polite reception, there is a Russian-speaking staff. Of the cons, there is no place to wash clothes, I had to wash in the sink, one iron for the whole hotel, usually an iron is in every room. The breakfasts are the same every day and the choice is very small, after a couple of days I got tired of eating. The rooms are poorly cleaned, the shower cabin was not washed at all, and the slightly used shampoos were topped up with water, in order to change. The area is quite dangerous, there are a lot of immigrants around. If you only come there to sleep, then it will do. There is also a metro station nearby.
We rested in November 2019. The 4* hotel has very good breakfasts. Cleanliness in the rooms. Cleaning and changing of towels every day. We realized that the hotel is great when we compared it to the 3* Lola Istanbul hotel. Therefore, I added a star to the hotel.
Very dirty, food is not perceived by the body. The street is also dirty, like a slum.

There are pros and cons... Abel Hotel has more advantages! Fatih... everything is within walking distance, the whole history of Istanbul!!! The Marmara Sea is super! The breath of the sea is always and everywhere! Well, the hotel itself is only 3... but the atmosphere itself!!! Now for more details: Wi-fi - 4 (sometimes disappeared). Breakfast - 5 (it is possible and more varied, for Russians)). Tea is a separate story - the most delicious thing I've tried, I couldn't get drunk 👍👍👍Towels were changed every day + shampoo, gel, soap!!! And most importantly, the hotel is necessary for relaxation after excursions in Istanbul, for this Abel Hotel for all 5!!!
Very good location. Literally three minutes from the metro and seven minutes from the tram. Near the Laleli shopping area, all the main attractions are within walking distance. The breakfast is buffet style, the rooms are small but relatively clean. It's the best thing for a tourist!
The hotel is a solid three. Among the advantages: proximity to the center and to the sea, friendly Russian-speaking staff. Of the cons: uncomfortable mattresses and a not very prosperous neighborhood))
Quite decent breakfasts and clean linen. Towels were changed and cleaned every day.
Delicious breakfasts, polite staff. The windows overlook the Marmara Sea. There is a shop nearby where they speak a little Russian (but be careful they overcharge, bargain)
We didn't like the location, we felt unsafe in this area. The hotel itself is not bad, it has everything you need, and its staff is very polite. But I wouldn't settle in this part of town anymore.
The hotel does not make any special impressions. An overnight hotel. The metro, bus stops and tram are in close proximity.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, but there is no kettle in the room. It is not clear if there is a transfer organized by the hotel itself. The Intourist organized everything abominably.
