I visited the Rest restaurant on Hassan Salmani Street, 7 in Baku, and was satisfied!
Food: The restaurant offers dishes of both traditional Azerbaijani and international cuisine. Everything was cooked very tasty, especially the kebabs and dolma. Pleasant taste and fresh ingredients.
✔ Service: Top-level service. The staff is friendly and always ready to help with the selection of dishes, the atmosphere is very comfortable.
Atmosphere: The restaurant is very cozy, with a pleasant atmosphere, where you can have dinner both with family and friends. In the evening, the restaurant plays live music, which adds extra comfort.
✔ Prices: Prices are reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the level of service.
Overall, Rest is an excellent restaurant for a comfortable stay and a delicious dinner in Baku. I recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The best restaurant in terms of price-quality ratio. We were already hoping to find delicious national food in Baku. They found her here. Very tasty. It's a pity that we're leaving soon and won't have time to try all the dishes from the menu. Fast service. I especially liked the aged waiters. Firstly, they speak Russian, and secondly, they are very sociable and colorful men) And Jamil is simply the best! Many locals, whole families and companies come to the restaurant. It's an amazing place.
Outwardly, it is very strange and nondescript. Frankly speaking, it is not a tourist destination and rather a local one.
But all the disadvantages of the entourage are redeemed by service and food
The first is huge portions
Lavash is so on the whole table
Salad so a bucket of greens is definitely a mountain
Kampot so half a liter
The stupid electronic menu only confuses everything
Call the waiter, set the task to make it beautiful and everything will be fine. Both fish and meat and wine are homemade.
The price is ridiculous for 2 people meat fish alcohol 37 manat. It's cheaper than breakfast at local cafes.
And what is the speed of service. They were slower for me in the McDuck.
We spent longer picking at the menu and waiting for the receipt. Than the dishes ordered for us were taken out.
Everything is very fresh and delicious tomatoes cucumbers pita bread everything is delicate and magical
My wife is delighted with the fish and sauce
I had beef on the grill.
There is no pork, you know)))
In general, I recommend it to anyone who is hungry who wants a stomach feast.
I repeat, the place is not a tourist visually so-so.

It's a very cool place where the locals go! We ate for 90-120 manats for 4 people, with drinks. It's clean, they clean it, they change the tablecloth when you're there.
There are many different types of meat, good mutton. There are ready-made dishes to serve, there are things that need to be cooked (shish kebab, ribs). Try the beef kebab, it's something amazing!

Expectations from visiting this institution were high due to the great popularity of the place, but, unfortunately, the experience turned out to be ambiguous. Apparently, the emphasis on the number of visitors began to negatively affect the quality.
There was an unpleasant incident with the order: the waiter mixed up the dishes, one of the dishes was never brought.
In addition, there were nuts in the sauce, which the waiter did not know about, which led to an allergic reaction in my companion.
I would like to note that the bread and squash caviar were really delicious, and the situation on the street created a pleasant atmosphere.
I would like to advise the institution to think about dividing the zones for smoking and non-smoking visitors so that each guest can feel comfortable, including in terms of air.

A large restaurant, several halls inside and a huge veranda on the street. We went on Friday evening, there were a lot of people, so the service speed was low. The restaurant does not have a classic menu, only an electronic one: https://otdixrestoran.clopos.menu/ru/1/products which does not correspond to reality.
Many dishes were not available: pilaf (!!!), some dishes of European cuisine, etc. The waiter did not record our order, so he did not bring half of what we ordered - but we were glad, because we had already eaten too much :) In general, the atmosphere is good, the prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, the most tender meat, large portions.

A good restaurant of national cuisine of the average price category. Located within walking distance from the metro and at the same time outside the main tourist areas. You can sit in an open area in the courtyard, you can sit in offices for 4-6 people (with air conditioning, which is especially important in the hot Baku summer) A good selection of meat dishes (I recommend trying lamb stewed with cherries or mushrooms), a salad from the chef is not bad. Gorgeous homemade wine - and you can also bring your own alcohol. For dessert, you can take tea with various jams (I especially liked the watermelon peel jam) The waiters are caring and at the same time unobtrusive, just what you need. The toilet is on the level, clean. In general, I recommend all tourists to visit this institution.

We ordered an assortment of saj. They promised three types of meat. Chicken, lamb and beef. As a result, mushrooms, liver and potatoes were swimming in oil in a frying pan. There was very little meat. And even that's kind of burnt in small pieces. We also ordered a cheese plate. Nothing unusual. Suluguni and some Adyghe and Russian cheese. It turned out to be a delicious lamb soup with chicken and tea with lemon 🤣

Mmmm, fantastic kebabs!!! It's just great! The prices are low, the service is good, the food is incredibly delicious, the waiters are very polite. The restaurant itself is large, we visited several times, sat on the veranda, and were given blankets.

On the advice of a local guide, we visited this place. It was hard to find, there is no sign. The institution is highly appreciated among local residents. Even on weekdays it is crowded.
Tip: go straight to the large barbecue with cauldrons. There, the cook will show you the dishes himself, describe them and you can make an order.

The food was cold, but you can eat. The main disadvantage is the waiter. I messed up the order, got my clothes dirty, and after all that, when I brought the bill, I said, "There's no service charge here," clearly hinting at a tip. The food is delicious
but
The service couldn't be worse.
We came to the restaurant on the recommendation of local residents.
We ordered 2 glasses of pomegranate wine , assorted Saj , crispy eggplant salad , and 5 different kutabs
Instead of pomegranate wine , they brought dry red wine without warning and brought 2 servings in one glass , although there were two of us and we needed 2 glasses and were not immediately warned that there was no pomegranate wine
Saj was cooked for about an hour , I think this is normal
but the kutabs were cooked for more than 1.5 hours, after an hour we refused them, went to the manager and explained the whole situation, he told us: "okay, there will be no Kutabs"
After 5 minutes, the waiter came up and said that he would bring kutabs now, to which we said: "no, we have been waiting a long time and we don't want any more"
After another 10 minutes , the bill was brought to us and these unfortunate kutabs .
We paid because we wanted to go for a walk as soon as possible and not spoil our mood
We are upset by the attitude of the staff towards the guests

As I asked, first of all, to bring it, and it turned out - they brought a dyushbar with lightning speed, very tasty Potatoes on the grill, the barbecue is delicious, but the local praised this place to us as the most delicious barbecue, either in Baku, where we ate it everywhere was on top, or here it is ordinary, we did not understand) in general, everything was delicious, the portions of the kebab are not large.

I didn't like the eggplant salad either.A very large selection of hot beef dishes 5-7 dishes for sure. There is also mutton and chicken. I tried beef in cream sauce with mushrooms -the portion is large and tasty, 12 manats, it seems.In general, the prices are very affordable compared to the establishments in the center. There are no places at rush hour, you need to call, book in advance or come after 20:30 / after lunch.
