Amazing cuisine. A lot of things have been tried.
Very tasty trout on pita bread or simply fried, eggplant rolls, homemade potatoes, apple tart. Delicious!

February is not the most tourist month, nevertheless, we decided to fulfill our dream and visited hospitable and, somewhere even native, Georgia. On the last evening in Tbilisi, we wanted to spend all the remaining money on a big and luxurious dinner. We were looking for an authentic restaurant that has not lost its charm behind all this European. We found Ortachala restaurant based on good reviews.
No one met us at the entrance group, we went through by ourselves, they did not greet us in any language, although we respectfully greeted everyone in hospitable Georgian. Oh well. They pointed out to us several empty tables, they say, choose. We sat down, the menu was silently placed on the table, and at that moment we saw the waiter for the last time. No one else came up to us for 15 minutes.
At the next table, a large family was celebrating their grandfather's birthday. He turned 84 years old, and we saw a cake being brought out to him to applause. He's certainly seen a lot of life. And surely he would have been very ashamed that his young compatriots had forgotten what real Georgian hospitality was.
That's where we left. No one asked us any questions.

I've been thinking for a long time about what grade to put. The food is delicious, especially the meat. The grill set is amazing, you can safely take it for 4 people. but! There is a huge but that spoils the whole impression - the service!
The waiters pretend that they are the same guests here. You have to wait for several minutes for someone to come up to you. The waiter, who was supposed to serve part of the veranda, just "glued" the girls sitting at one of the tables. The waiters' faces said, "well, do you want to order something again?"
So, despite the delicious food, only ⭐️⭐️⭐️. After all, the staff is the main point of contact between the guest and the establishment.

The service ruined everything.
The waiters were constantly changing, different people came up, and then only when they were called. Then, by mistake, they brought us mushrooms for ketsi without suluguni, we asked to add suluguni, of course, with an additional fee. The waiter resisted for a long time, then freaked out, rolled his eyes and took away these mushrooms with an obvious desire to throw them in our face)) As a result, suluguni was added, brought by another girl))
In principle, there are no complaints about food, but the attitude is so-so. I don't recommend it.

Kebab (lyulya) is a buzz. It's so juicy that you don't need any sauce.
I didn't get the tomato soup.
My friend's grub wasn't rich enough (there was something to compare it with).
I liked the Khinkali "Kalakuri".
Unfortunately, I had to wait more than 10 minutes for the order to be accepted.
In general, the location for this area is excellent (the hotel was not far away), and there are very sad cafes and restaurants around. We may come back on our next visit.

Khinkali with beef 2.2 lari per piece (5 pcs serving), very tasty, spicy! Chashushuli with veal 25.3 lari, dry red wine Saperavi 1 liter - 17.6 lari.
Dinner for 3 adults and a child is on average 3,500 rubles (100 GEL).

Our visit to the restaurant left us with an extremely unpleasant impression. When we arrived and started choosing dishes, the waitress immediately made it clear that they had a lot of customers and she didn't have time to wait. We felt uncomfortable and rushed to make a choice against our will.
Although the dishes arrived quickly, their quality was terrible. The Chikhirtma turned out to be tasteless: the soup looked like a broth diluted with water with flour added, not saturated at all and empty. Pork on ribs disappointed even more — instead of the usual juicy ribs, it was just a few bones with a large piece of dry pork.
The overall impression remained extremely negative. We were disappointed with the quality of the dishes. We definitely do not recommend this place to those who want to enjoy delicious food and good service

In my opinion, the best place in Tbilisi: the food is amazing, the atmosphere of real Georgia, delicious wine. Also, here the tax is immediately included in the price, so you will not find any unexpected figures in the invoice. The staff is rude. We went in for a quick soup before the train, with an hour left. The waitress came up for a very long time. She refused to speak Russian, she didn't understand a lot of things in English. As a result, I wrote down the order incorrectly and brought one instead of 3 servings of soup, so we also expected this one soup for 25 minutes. There was only one more couple in the restaurant besides us.
They clarified that we need 3 soups and asked us to be faster as the train is coming soon. She said she would bring 2 more servings within 5 minutes. As a result, the portions were carried for more than 15 minutes. We almost missed the train. The waitress did not apologize for the mistake. I do not recommend the place!

A very tasty restaurant. We took lamb kebab, chicken skewers, veal ribs on kets with adjika and snacks, everything was very tasty!!! We definitely recommend it. Yes, the staff is sometimes very slow and pretends not to notice, but the taste of Georgian dishes covers all the negativity.
PS: Be sure to take a liter of homemade wine with food, it is delicious and costs only 8 GEL.
