An old hotel, dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom, a rusty shower, tubby furniture. It is unlikely that I will choose it to visit Istanbul again, but the good-natured hosts and excellent location, quite tasty breakfasts and a relaxed atmosphere left a pleasant impression.
We were on New Year's Eve. In the first room.
There is hot water.
The air conditioner is working for heating.
The owner and staff are friendly!
The location is generally excellent!
I recommend it categorically)
I stayed at this hotel in October 5 years ago. The room was on the top floor. I remember the cold and darkness in the room. And when it's cold, it always seems uncomfortable. But everything faded when I saw a magnificent sunrise in the morning. It's really very impressive. I wanted to go with my mother this year in February, show her Istanbul, read the reviews about the hotel, it seems it got even worse. In February, there will probably be a dubak in the room at all :) And I also remembered, I found vegetables in a salad plate in mold, beee.
But the dawn is just a fairy tale. Probably the owner believes that this atones for all other shortcomings :)
+ the location of the hotel and the view from the window of the Blue Mosque, friendly and helpful staff
- non-working TVs in the rooms, monotonous breakfasts.
We passed by and looked into this cafe to drink coffee ! Very responsive and positive guys, the atmosphere is homely and very warm. Many thanks to the staff, as they helped us to call a taxi, took us out and escorted us to the car and even gave instructions to the driver.
The best hotel in terms of location and cost. The friendly host Mohamed and his son Caesar will provide unforgettable evenings in the cafe at the hotel)))
One of the advantages is the excellent location and the wonderful employee Abdurakhman (thank you very much for your help).
Then there are only disadvantages. The room, which is on the top floor, really has a wonderful view. But!!! The panoramic window is dirty both inside and out, the window itself is in an ugly state - at night the wind blows through it with an appropriate sound. The bed is only 140 cm instead of the stated 160 cm. WiFi on the top floor did not catch, it seemed to be done with the threat that I would leave (I did not check, I moved to another hotel). The room is dirty, the bathroom is ugly: the bathroom door is broken, mold is in the corners, there is no ventilation, the bathroom itself is very cold because there are no batteries. Check-in later than 14 hours, I asked for a second blanket a few days before arrival - in fact, I had to ask for more on the spot. The duvet was big, the duvet cover was small. The breakfasts are tasteless (but this is subjective, of course), only from 9-30 to 11. There are no bathrobes, what kind of fireplace is in the description - I do not know, I have not seen. Instead of a TV, there is a hole, the air conditioner is in such a way that it is scary to turn it on (it is not relevant in winter). The owner said that he knows about all the disadvantages, but it's okay to type.... Of course, this is not in the photo. I do not recommend it under any circumstances. The view from the window is not worth it at all - in the morning the sun, nothing is visible through the mud, at night the lantern interferes. In fact, only through the side window. But the audibility is quite normal (but maybe no one lived under us). Slippers, cotton swabs and shower gel seemed to have been in the warehouse for many years. Yes, as soon as on the second day I came up with complaints about the number, all the courtesy was gone. I warned that I would leave for another hotel at 8 a.m. I had to carry the suitcases from the 5th floor up the stairs myself - there was no one.... 3 stars is incorrect information, such objects according to the rules cannot have a check-in at all.
It's a very cozy place
The rooms are really old.
They have started to repair it now.
The owner is the kindest person
I will be back in Istanbul, I will return to this hotel
The historical center. The rooms are quite large. View from the window of the blue Mosque. There is a restaurant on the ground floor. They cook delicious.
