If you read my last review i raved about the Josper ribeye but unfortunately with my last visit not as good...steak seemed thinner and overdone when I asked for medium, i definitely got well-done. Still good flavor but tough. Grilled veges were nice but the tea tasted like a hint of dish soap. I will try again but inconsistency in a restaurant is the worst.
Unique atmosphere, a bit slow service. The server didn't have a chance to come to our table to ask if everything is ok. Overall likes the Soviet era atmosphere
I recently discovered the Lights of Tashkent restaurant, and this place is definitely worth a look. The stylish European interior, pleasant music and cozy atmosphere create an ideal space for meetings with friends, as well as for a relaxing dinner after a busy day.
The cuisine is excellent — the menu is dominated by European dishes, each of which is prepared with a sense of taste and served very aesthetically. I was especially pleased with the pasta and meat dishes — everything was fresh, juicy and balanced.
I don't drink myself, but it's worth noting that there is a full-fledged bar with a good selection of alcohol. This is one of the few places in the city where you can not only have a delicious meal, but also enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail in a relaxing atmosphere. The guests were satisfied.
The prices were pleasantly surprised — for such a level of quality and service, everything is more than reasonable. I'll definitely be back and I'll be happy to recommend it to my friends!
In the heart of Tashkent there is a cafe-restaurant with a cozy interior, unobtrusive background music and a great atmosphere. These are the "Lights of Tashkent". I liked the food, the roast beef salad is dressed perfectly. The waiter is nimble and executive. You can sit on the terrace, looking at the street and passers-by, but now it's cool there, you can get inside. The restaurant is not so big, it is probably better to book a table for the evening, and there were not so many guests at lunch. Definitely, I will add it to my personal rating for regular visits.
I really liked the restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy, everything is done with taste — the style of the 60s is felt, interesting and unusual. The food is delicious, the portions are good, I especially liked the Kiev cutlets. The service is excellent — the waiters are polite, everything was brought quickly. The prices are adequate. It's a nice place, I'll definitely come back and recommend it to my friends.
We were at this institution, celebrating a family event.
The cuisine is delicious, the portions are good, the prices are quite reasonable.
I would like to mention the service separately, I really liked it, the service is one of the best in the city at the moment.
I definitely recommend you to visit!
I love this place! Excellent cuisine, cleanliness, service. You can meet, take guests, sit alone. There are breakfasts, lunches, dinners - different menus for each option. The evening menu is the most expensive. There is alcohol, if anyone needs it. The background music is always pleasant and ear-free.
I have been going to this restaurant for many years, everything is always delicious, the prices are inexpensive, the service is always excellent, I advise everyone) ❤
Those who say that it is expensive, all the products are fresh, everything is always delicious, the portions are good, always clean, for such a place, it is inexpensive.
In my neighborhood, in the most ordinary old small cafe, the same dishes either cost the same, or 10-15 thousand cheaper, but tasteless, terribly greasy.
The restaurant is objectively good, for those who have been in cheap delicious-tasteless places, and in super expensive delicious-tasteless ones.
And the atmosphere for me is 50-80 years old, very beautiful✨️✨️
Review of the Lights of Tashkent restaurant
I have been a visitor to the Lights of Tashkent restaurant for a long time and have always appreciated this place for its delicious and high-quality cuisine. However, a good restaurant is not only about the food, but also about the service that forms the overall impression.
Previously, I was sympathetic to small delays in service, especially during rush hours. The staff always explained the situation politely, and this smoothed out any shortcomings.
Unfortunately, today's visit turned out to be unpleasant. After my colleagues and I took a table, we had to call the waiter several times and wait for more than 10 minutes. When I politely asked the reason for the delay, I was unpleasantly surprised by the tone of the conversation — the waiter allowed himself a rather rude and familiar manner of conversation, which does not correspond at all to the level of the establishment.
After that, I asked to call the manager to express my dissatisfaction and was about to leave the restaurant. The manager came over at the moment when we were getting up from the table, just put together the menu and, unfortunately, did not even try to smooth the situation out or offer a solution. This attitude on the part of the management only increased the disappointment.
It is a pity that such a good cuisine loses its dignity due to insufficient attention to service and customers. I hope the management will take measures to improve the quality of service, because this is what encourages guests to come back again.
The restaurant "Lights of Tashkent" is a wonderful place in the very center of the city, next to the Navoi Theater and the Central Department Store. The atmosphere here is simply amazing, reminiscent of America in the 60s. I especially like the open kitchen, where you can watch the cooking process.
The wine selection here is impressive, and the desserts are simply delicious. The menu is large and varied, everyone will find something to their taste. There are good child seats for families with children, which is very convenient. The restaurant is always very clean and the service is at a high level.
The only advice is to book seats in advance, as the restaurant is very popular. I highly recommend this place for a pleasant stay!
A very cozy restaurant. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is calm to sit and chat with friends. The staff is very caring, especially the head of the gym, Annushka. The service is top notch!!!!
The food is very tasty, I advise you to try veal tongue with mushrooms in cream sauce, a very cozy place is the best choice for a family dinner, the staff is friendly, I am delighted with the cuisine
Visited it once. Convenient location, Clean and cozy room. Smoking is allowed on the veranda, so it is smoky.
The menu is in Russian. The cuisine is European.
The prices are above average, with a 20% service fee.
We took pasta, and I liked it.
I would like to see national dishes on the menu, even in a modern design and presentation.
It's a good place. There are various dishes of European cuisine and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and at very affordable prices. Beautiful interior and fast service, the staff speaks Russian. I've been here for lunch a couple of times, and I'm satisfied.
The establishment is positioned as an inexpensive restaurant recommended by the locals. What do you expect to see under the sign of such a name? That's right, an authentic Uzbek restaurant with Oriental cuisine, with waiters in traditional clothes, background or live oriental music. The reality is the most ordinary restaurant with completely neutral interiors, zero authenticity, zero connection with the name, the prices are significantly above average. I still don't understand why they came here. The food is average, there are few people, the waiters can't just take the already poured drinks from the bartender's counter for 15 minutes and take them to us. If it were possible to waive 20% of the service fee, that's what they would have done. I don't recommend it.
It's a great restaurant. Despite the name, it has almost nothing to do with Uzbek cuisine, the cuisine is mostly European.
It's delicious, the steaks are magical. The portions are large, the service is excellent. I recommend.
We tried the Red Moscow soup for the first time)))
The name is certainly tempting
But it was borscht 😀
For the second cutlet in Kiev
In a word, the kitchen is classic in the Soviet style
Maybe this is the trick of the restaurant
The service was very good, intelligent, and the staff was friendly, even though they were frowning (maybe this is called seriousness))))
But they understood it perfectly and didn't confuse anything.
As they say, the German accuracy was respected
Freshly squeezed fruit juice for every taste
Desserts are also in the Soviet style
The price is certainly above average
They probably focus on tourists
After all, the location is in the very center of the city
All this romantic atmosphere was slightly spoiled by the view from the restaurant's veranda, although this is not a restaurant joint, but we still need to come up with something.
On the contrary, the side of the Opera House was visible and it was not quite aesthetically pleasing there
This, of course, violated all this beauty
Well, this restaurant and the view from the window opposite don't look harmonious.
And so in general, if you don't pay attention to such little things, then the place can be called cool.
You can eat delicious and fast , have your own menu in the morning at lunch and in the evening - with your own price tag .
And another 20 % is added for the service .
The thought is wonderful , the eggplant salad is too greasy for me , the eggplants were swimming in oil .
And it's so cozy and there are desserts in the assortment - I tried Prague - like chocolate in the Soviet State standards!
I recommend
We used to really like to go to this joan, but now, that's it, the road there is closed. Prices have simply gone up, portions have decreased, many dishes are missing altogether, the officers walk as if paralyzed, you have to wait a very long time to be served. Previously, you were greeted, offered to choose a table, quickly arranged a snack, and the service was top notch. And now, either the management has changed or they've just become arrogant, but the restaurant has lost its identity. As we pass by, we notice that there are almost no people there, and previously it was difficult to find a free place. In general, the mood has deteriorated very much. We won't come again!!!
Delicious food. A peculiar restaurant. Comfortably. Attentive waiters. What makes the atmosphere even more good is that the location is in the city center.
I'm nostalgic for places of work when I have dinner here.
A nice cafe in the very center of the capital. The interior provokes a very mixed reaction: it's too much for a diner, and it's not enough for a restaurant. The menu for tourists is inconvenient (you won't taste the local cuisine very much, only standard European dishes; served in periods: breakfast-lunch-evening menu), therefore, only locals are praised. However, the food is good. The main dishes are delicious! But I didn't like the salad and side dish at all. Well, how can you serve such plastic tomatoes on the table in sunny Uzbekistan?! I expected more for above-average prices! The impeccably courteous service, however, negates most of the disadvantages of this place.
While on a business trip, we walked around Tashkent, and decided to have dinner at this restaurant based on the reviews, but we were disappointed. The waiter was busy with something, anything but direct duties, he couldn't help us with the choice of dishes or suggest something, maybe a new intern... beer turned out to be the most delicious of salads and meat! The volume of dishes is significantly less than in other restaurants in the beautiful city. The location and the interior atmosphere are excellent, but people go to the restaurant to eat!
I've never regretted it, even when I didn't like the dish and I paid a lot of money. But, as they say, everything happens for the first time. I've never eaten more disgusting meat in my life. It smelled as if an old donkey had just been butchered, on which gypsies carried all the garbage of Tashkent. In the end, they gave this ass to this restaurant for slaughter.
No less unpleasant was the smell from the face of the waiter who served us, so I didn't even complain to him.
P.S. I don't want it to seem like a haight: the lemonade was delicious, and all the vegetables in the salad were also fresh. Even the bread tasted better than the meat.
Mixed feelings from the visit. The cafe's design is cool, delicious, but there are also disadvantages... the prices are not small for Tashkent, the chicken fillet was not brought to the ready with all the aftershocks(
Extremely upset! The meat was brought in, not fresh, which smells so strongly that it really shouldn't be eaten.
20% service is not really justified. The waiters, who are old enough, could have provided better service.
Salads were on the level, hotter at the worst (more precisely meat).
I still don't understand how it happened.… In general, everything else is in perfect order.
I'll give you a minus five.
And minus 100,500 for the meat served!
I hope it will be different on the next visit.
We were at 11.20 am, so I can only tell you about breakfast. (Breakfast is served until 12, lunch menu is served from 12 to 15, steaks are served from 15).a large successful restaurant stylized as an American eatery in the style of Andy Warhol. The tables do not swing, the dishes are very clean. They chose Americano from the menu (perfectly cooked), a liter of very tasty tarragon, shakshuka with meat, kutabs with herbs and cheese (generally a bomb), pancakes with meat (very tasty). There are a lot of desserts, but we couldn't choose them))). I would like to mention the well-chosen music of the 60-80 years . Everything is super
I liked the restaurant, in the very center (near the pedestrian street), atmospheric and tastefully decorated interior in the style of the 60s. Fast service and serving of dishes. The portions are large, the products are of good quality, the taste is 7/10. If you suddenly get tired of the national food and flavor - a great option).
I do not agree with the bad reviews, the restaurant left a pleasant impression.
The showcase looks solid.
The dancing in the theater was relatively synchronized.
It was warm in the car.
The road was not one-way.
There was no parking attendant, which meant parking was free.
Overall, I liked everything. All that remains is to go inside and try.
It was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, the steaks were fried properly, the wine assortment is weak, but it is already pleasing, I recommend dry red, Italy
It was the only time I was there. The cuisine is good, the atmosphere is pleasant. I tried Kiev-style cutlets. Tasty. And the service, by the way, is excellent!
The cuisine is good, and there is a rich menu for every taste. But they cheat with a thunderbolt. If you pay with a card, they don't warn you that their bank charges an additional fee for the conversion. By default, they charge 20% for maintenance. Even though it's very lame.
There is smoke from smoking in the non-smoking room, probably from the smoking room, there is no partition between the halls and there is no hood over that hall.
A good establishment in the heart of Tashkent. The interior harks back to the days of Soviet catering. Prices are above average. The service could have been a little more attentive. Otherwise, everything is fine.
One of my favorite places! Children like to watch the chefs cook, everything is open! The interior is original, from the past) The dishes are delicious! Prices are rather above average, depending on what to compare with! In the morning, I was pleased with 0% of the service)
A cozy place! Pleasant atmosphere, delicious dishes, caring staff, beautiful interior.

It's a wonderful restaurant. Very diverse and high-quality cuisine. The waiters are attentive guys. The audience is more than decent. One evening, I forgot a painting I bought on Broadway, returned 2 days later - the guy jumped up and handed it to me... God willing, I will come to Tashkent and visit this institution. Only the best memories...
