In my neighborhood, in the most ordinary old small cafe, the same dishes either cost the same, or 10-15 thousand cheaper, but tasteless, terribly greasy.
The restaurant is objectively good, for those who have been in cheap delicious-tasteless places, and in super expensive delicious-tasteless ones.
And the atmosphere for me is 50-80 years old, very beautiful✨️✨️

The restaurant "Lights of Tashkent" is a wonderful place in the very center of the city, next to the Navoi Theater and the Central Department Store. The atmosphere here is simply amazing, reminiscent of America in the 60s. I especially like the open kitchen, where you can watch the cooking process.
The wine selection here is impressive, and the desserts are simply delicious. The menu is large and varied, everyone will find something to their taste. There are good child seats for families with children, which is very convenient. The restaurant is always very clean and the service is at a high level.
The only advice is to book seats in advance, as the restaurant is very popular. I highly recommend this place for a pleasant stay!

Kiev cutlet with mashed potatoes: the cutlet is OK, the mashed potatoes are mixed with water ((( I waited for her for exactly half an hour in an empty cafe. The coffee arrived quickly. No one warned about the long preparation of the dish and naturally did not ask when to bring coffee ..
In fact, the waiters are extremely taciturn and not friendly. They almost never appear at the table. They sent a card to pay the bill by showing the direction of the cash register at the other end of the cafe. There are almost no visitors, is it really impossible to see them off?? Complete lack of service and 20% service charge in the bill...

I do not recommend taking Picatte. In the original recipe, the chicken fillet should be thin and chipped, here it's just a large piece of fairly dry fillet in the dough with a small layer of filling in the middle. It's hard to eat that.

The owners of the restaurant are so greedy that they add 20% of the service automatically to the cost of the order. And this despite the fact that sometimes the service is very good, and sometimes not. I also asked the waiters several times if the money was going to them. And as it turned out, it all goes to the owner of the restaurant. In fact, there are several points. 1)Why is the service 20% and not 10 or 15? Who decides? 2) Even if you are unlucky and you are served poorly, you will be charged 20% for service automatically. 3) You still have to tip the waiter separately. In conclusion, I want to say that this is practiced by many restaurants in Tashkent and even cafes. I have encountered this for the first time in Uzbekistan, everywhere abroad you decide for yourself to tip and how much to give, and even more so it does not go to the owner of the restaurant.

Друзья после экскурсии по Ташкенту привели перекусить, и это место сразу нам приглянулось. Кухня и обслуживание, интерьер, акустическое сопровождение - все очень качественно и с вниманием к деталям. Заведение по достоинству может считаться очень качественным рестораном в котором и с семьёй будет очень комфортно, и с коллегами по бизнесу можно по делам встретиться. А завтраки так это вообще отдельная тропа кайфа.

A wonderful restaurant. I always have lunch here when I find myself in Tashkent. This time I came with two children soaked through because of the rain, I thought they wouldn't let me in, but everything is fine, they fed me well, very tasty (especially the Kiev cutlet), manti and Greek salad. The children drank a milkshake and I drank Moroccan tea - everything is on top 🔥
