It's worth visiting, children will definitely come in, and adults are interested. There are many cages with monkeys, but no more than 10 species. Very friendly lemurs allow themselves to be touched. But there are also quite aggressive primates, you need to be careful, especially children, they can attack. One of them snatched a bag out of my hands, trying to grab food. But there are charming creatures that take treats with soft paws. A package of food in the monkey house costs 200 rubles., it is sold right at the cash registers, and in front of the entrance the brave grandfather also sells chopped vegetables, but for 100 rubles. At the same time, there is a forbidding sign, you can not bring anything with you. The monkeys are clean, well-fed, but they take treats, although they can throw away what they don't like. There are not many people, no one interferes, they will not adjust.
A great educational place. There is no great variety of primates, it is difficult to feed, this is probably the most important entertainment... There are two LEMURS, I really liked them... It's just the thing for walking with children...
We were on 08/17/2024 with children 6 and 13 years old, at first it was fun, a lot of monkeys (the number, but not the species-only 5-7), the children fed them carefully, their hands did not go into the cages. We almost did not pay attention to the sickening smell and devastation, but when at one point one of the monkeys grabbed the eldest son by the brush, pulled him to the grid, scratched and bit, all the disadvantages crossed out the good mood. I understand that I did not follow up myself, there are signs everywhere do not approach, do not feed, but they persistently offer to buy food and feed the cheerful monkeys in front of the entrance-200₽ a bag, the sticks from which we needed to be fed were not offered to us, but we did not think, since for the first time (someone was given, we found out later), the fences in front of the cages were destroyed almost everywhere, only the posts remained, and there are even concrete steps to the cage near the one where the child was bitten...At my request to show some documents on animals that they are healthy and vaccinated, after a long "bickering" allegedly for the weekend, there is no one, my arguments that all information should be freely available to visitors, in general, they did not provide me with anything, we went to the hospital, it's good that by car (parking By the way, it's paid 100rubles, collected by some old man without any checks) and it's not far away. The hospital provided a free tetanus and rabies vaccine👍(5 more times before November(((bandages were made, in general, the rest is spoiled-do not wet for 3 days, sweets and soda are not allowed, bandages... Worry about the child's health. Decide for yourself whether you need such entertainment.
We visited, parking is paid at the nursery, the nursery itself is not large, they conduct an excursion every 15 minutes, the territory itself is small, you can buy food for monkeys, the living conditions are terrible, they are very cramped, three-storey valliers, monkeys who are in the upper valera, ask for food, throw everything up to them, say that they are good there and I really can't.
Very interesting. Mostly monkeys and gibbons, but there are a lot of them and some can be touched. And most importantly, everyone can be fed. Food 100 or 200₽ is corn sticks.
They drove a child in their own car. Parking 200₽ on the site. A bag of food (chopped lettuce leaves and watermelon rind) 200 rubles plus a skewer with which you will feed the monkeys. I must say right away that adults should be attentive and be aware of the degree of danger of communicating with animals, especially with young children. Try to hold the child's brush in your hand and fully control the process. Monkeys are strong and snatch a wand. They can grab my hand! Take away the package or the phone or the glasses!
You should not order a guide with kids, you will have to be distracted by the child, and because of his age he will not listen to incomprehensible hangings. The territory is not large, there is a place to take pictures. If you buy souvenirs, bargain, it's more expensive than on the market. The child liked it, and that's the main thing! Children under 6 years old are free of charge. Adult ticket 400rubles. Taxi from the market 200-300₽, depends on the mood of the taxi driver!
The monkeys are incomparable! We need to take a look! I have already been there 4 times in the 24th year. So it turns out for the company. It's depressing that everything looks worse every year! They are not doing anything directly to improve, the conditions and the view are getting worse every year. As it got from the USSR, they only take money without sufficient maintenance. But at least that's what it looks like!
You can visit, it's interesting to watch the pets, I took off the star for the "devastation" and for allegedly paid parking, but it's not clear why it's paid))) money is certainly not great, but for some reason drivers with Abkhazian license plates have it for free)) and there is no sign that there is a fee, only a wooden board with an inscription, nailed to a tree))))
The most terrible place is probably in Abkhazia. It stinks a lot, poor monkeys in cages without greenery, like in concrete boxes. There are few species of monkeys, mostly the same ones are repeated, there are clearly sick ones, it is not pleasant to look at. Plus, there is a very unpleasant woman at the checkout, you can't pay with a card, but she doesn't have change from 5000, and don't stand here at all, go change, and no one changes, they say buy something, there is no cash register here. In general, the most unpleasant memories and impressions.
The monkeys are well-groomed, but there are at most 5 species for the entire nursery. The area is clean, but the buildings themselves leave much to be desired. It is clear that there is no investment, they survive as best they can. The staff is friendly, answered all questions.
Near the entrance there is a "guarded parking lot" of 100 rubles !The entrance to the kennel itself is 400 rubles , they do not give a ticket for memory) food is sold near the entrance - a package of 200 rubles , but in front of the cages there is a sign not to feed monkeys . The smell is nauseating , the cages are not cleaned , some monkeys in some ulcers or wounds are not clear on a cursory inspection . In general , you can go and see how the Soviet legacy has been lost .
I was with my grandson. He really liked it. You need to be very careful with feeding the monkeys! They can grab a feeding stick! It was in the summer, don't forget the water (it's a little hot). I recommend it!
I give the monkeys 5 stars for giving them so many emotions.
And a two for the guide. The tour is included in the ticket price, but it feels like if you don't ask about it, you won't be offered. It lasts a maximum of 10 minutes and mainly affects the names of monkeys. Personally, I was interested in the history of the creation and operation of the nursery as a research institute. When I asked the guide (a young boy) to tell me about it, he replied that he did not know anything! Agony! I don't think such people should work there. I understand that little money is allocated or not allocated at all. These probably explain the lack of entrance tickets past the ticket office.. In general, she left without much slurping
A very mysterious place.
Nature is simply gorgeous 👍
A lot of monkeys are very different. You can feed them, it's very cool and primates are happy and kids are happy to feed monkeys from their hands right into the paws of macaques 🤗🤗
Recommend 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
There are not many species, but the monkeys are funny.
Everyone loves sunflower seeds very much - be sure to take them with you.
It is interesting to watch both the kids and the main male in each cage.
Children got positive emotions from communicating and feeding animals - this is the main thing! There are few species, there is no place to climb in the cages. I wish the nursery development.
3-4 species of monkeys. And you can feed it. If it rains, there is nowhere to hide. It is located at a height and it is better to climb by car. The road is 3 points higher.
Beautiful places, interesting for children and adults. All sorts of little animals add positivity and good mood. There are beautiful places around the nursery.
Like it.
I got huge positive emotions from feeding monkeys. The entourage, of course, is depressing, but the positive emotions received completely negate this entourage.
Do you want to surprise children and feel like a child yourself? Be sure to visit these sly cuties! They have learned how to deftly snatch from the hands of tourists not only bags of food, but also glasses, phones, but otherwise it's just a charm
There are a lot of monkeys, there is something to see... You can feed them (take corn sticks, they adore them and take them with joy from their hands)... But their content is just trash... It's a pity to the point of tears...
Stupid making money on sick animals. The animals are not well-groomed, some are frankly sick. Monkeys live in cages far from their natural habitat, dealing exclusively with each other. In hot weather, there is not even water in the cages. The workers are just rude. I do not recommend it!
We need to restore everything that was destroyed. Monkeys in a well-groomed form and communication with them - feeding gives a lot of positivity. We liked it
The impression is twofold. It doesn't seem bad, but the monkeys are kind of tortured. It's not very clean everywhere. And the road here is a separate trash (Narrow, uphill dirt road. It is difficult to separate from the oncoming traffic. In general, I definitely won't go there a second time.
I didn't like it.Monkeys in small bunks in the main, there is only concrete around, no greenery, no vines, they have dirt, the whole nursery stinks.Dogs are eating some soaked bread in the sewer of monkeys.I thought it would be different, I don't like zoos, I thought the animals were walking in the woods there and we were in a cage at once to see them.I don't recommend it
We were with my wife, we got a lot of positive emotions). Before entering the nursery, we bought sliced vegetables and fruits (it's not expensive), it's interesting to feed animals with your hands.
The disappointment is huge, I was there in 2011, it was much better, but although the price is not charged by adults 400₽ children under 12 years old for free, more than 150₽, no longer naked there.
I wish the development of this place so that the monkeys are in more spacious enclosures with trees at least and they have proper care. Parents with children should be vigilant and careful not to let them put their hands in the enclosures. I think it's worth going there to support this place with a ruble, maybe then everything will change for the better faster.)
An interesting tour and very cute monkeys. They are nimble and definitely feel the mood and goodwill of a person.my daughter and I fed with our hands- we took it very delicately, but still there are signs warning of personal responsibility At the entrance, third-party organizations sell a small package of food for 100 rubles, inside you can buy the food that monkeys love (talk to employees)Be sure to come - this is additional funding and assistance to employees and food for fuzzies, it is especially difficult for them in winter!
A large number of monkeys, mostly one species prevails in number, these are macaques, the food at the top in the nursery is 200 rubles, the food before the nursery is 100 rubles, but everywhere there is a fine for food outside the nursery, although this is purely profit for the tourist, the monkeys want the best, they were more disappointed with the content of these animals and the condition of the structures and the presence of the comfortable arrival of the monkeys
Monkeys, of course, keep an eye on them. The place is interesting. It is necessary to follow the safety rules. For all the friendly and seeming, they can spoil the mood. And even scratch
I put 5 stars on it, because it's really strong energy, the strong thing is that there was once a lot of life there, a beautiful place of monkeys, respectively, they keep a lot in cages. It is very dirty in the territory. Not really. Kind of a nice place, but. And since it would be quite interesting in general, how would I really like to take a look so that it would be there before ours? The appearance there, that is, in general, a century ago, what was happening there? What
Devastation. They sell missing fruits and vegetables to feed monkeys for 200 rubles.
Pay for parking too, even though we came to them. The enclosures stink.
The building next to it is collapsing.
Interesting breeds of monkeys, you can feed, take pictures, an educational tour, historical information, a large territory, spacious cages. There is a large monument, the only monument to the monkey.
Be sure to visit this nursery. The presence of monkeys in such numbers is impressive. The way they crack nuts is impressive. And also be careful - if you are very close, anything can be snatched out of your hands very quickly, even if the monkey is 2 meters away from you. The speed of movement and the accuracy of movements are impressive. A nut was stolen from me in this way...
A fascinating place, it's a pity that the park is abandoned, everything can be restored if desired, the nature there is just like from another planet! The monkeys are very hungry, they were fed apples.
Monkeys are cool. But as in an ordinary zoo, I feel sorry for the animals. And especially these ones, since the ancestors)) But the child is happy, ran twice, bought food

1 The smell is terrible, there is no such smell in any zoo as here (the smell of long-unpacked enclosures)
2 The animal welfare is terrible, the poor monkeys run from corner to corner, they don't even have any sticks inside the enclosure to climb on them and for the monkeys to feel in their natural habitat
3 Tiles in cages everywhere, collapsed, there are no pieces somewhere (photo attached), tiles like in the big USSR
4 No one even said about the tour (I learned about it only from the comment below)
5 4 types of monkeys in total
6 At the entrance, the 3-storey aviaries and the 2 upper floors are not even visible
7 The price of 400rubles per person is not worth it
8 Paid parking
Some disappointments from visiting this place
I don't recommend it to anyone
So-so. In a word, a monkey house. It's dirty, there are no paths for tourists, garbage everywhere, poor animals. But as everywhere in Abkhazia, pay for everything, and not a little.
