The new Acropolis Museum makes a serious impression, primarily due to the huge exhibition space of 14,000 square meters, which houses artifacts and other museum exhibits (the total area of the museum is 25,000 square meters!). A wonderful museum that we managed to visit almost after its opening. The construction of this museum is a kind of political act towards England, which ignores the demand of Greece to return the so-called Elgin marble-the friezes of the Parthenon, taken out by Lord Elgin. The three floors of the museum are dedicated to 3 main periods of Greek history. The 2nd floor reproduces the frieze of the Parthenon in full size, or rather its copy with the only original piece, which was solemnly inserted into the main exposition at the opening.
