Not bad, but it didn't make a strong impression. Be sure to go further to the Simon Cananite trail (there is a stunning small temple in the mountain and, in principle, an interesting place).

A beautiful, good waterfall, the best place in new Athos. If you are not a religious person, then believe me, there is nothing else to see there. Only the approach to the waterfall and the elevation at the station, the rest is not worth attention in my opinion

Despite the fact that the waterfall is artificial, it is a charming place. Probably the most popular thing on this patch. It's even strange that there are so few reviews. Almost everyone who was here either photographed this 8-meter waterfall, or took a picture of himself above it (at the top of the waterfall there is a lake formed by a hydroelectric dam. And around the lake there is a path leading to the grottoes and the Psyrtskha railway platform, abandoned but beautiful.

The artificial waterfall on the Psyrtskha River is the hallmark of New Athos, it was formed during the construction of a hydroelectric power station by monks in the 19th century. It's cool here in the heat, because the waterfall is noisy and envelops you in small droplets. I advise you to climb up the stairs and see the beautiful lake and the abandoned Psyrtskha railway station. This is my favorite place in New Athos!
