We came to Belarus with friends, stopped in Brest, looked for a place to eat Belarusian cuisine and chose a forget-me-not
the interior is very nice, the staff has a cool uniform, the service is super
, I took a cold case and draniki with a machanka from the food. I tried the cold brew for the first time, it's a very interesting soup, but I can't judge it, because I tried it for the first time.
now about the pancakes - my friend and I didn't like them at all, in general they are nothing, but the machanka is not made of meat at all, as if they were just sliced sausages and poured with mayonnaise. I couldn't finish eating.
there is also a claim to daiquiri - I did not understand at all why lime juice is indicated on the menu, but in fact lemon juice is added. I work in a bar myself and I can say for sure that daiquiri is not very good.
after that, for interest, I took a margarita - absolutely identical taste. I couldn't even taste tequila or rum either way. It's literally like I drank two identical drinks, both watery with a taste of burnt sugar.
I would like to note the high professionalism of the staff. The guys are on top! At least in other places it was not as elegant and efficient as in Forget-me-Not. I'll make a reservation right away, the cafe worked on special maintenance and is beyond praise!
The kitchen was no less amazing. A variety of different dishes and excellent serving. The guys know the composition of the dishes and are willing to share information. I recommend it to gourmets. Well, a few words about the interior. There is a sense of home care in everything . Cleanliness and well-groomed. Some "nightingales" are worth something. And this is thoughtfulness in small things... and so it is with them in everything.
Summary: I recommend visiting and ordering for events.
(There were about 20 of us and children and everyone was comfortable)
A very cozy place near the Brest fortress. The interior is youthful, I think there are a lot of people here in the evenings. We were in the afternoon, they found us a table. There is a summer porch. The menu is good, everything is delicious. The prices are reasonable. The service is very polite and attentive.
After visiting the Brest Fortress memorial, I went to the Forget-me-not cafe. A great place, delicious national cuisine (famous pancakes with machanka), delicious morse, awesome grilled vegetables. Pleasant service, light music sounds. The cooking process of various dishes is shown on the big screen. There is an open veranda.
I liked it, good cuisine, nice and attentive girls. We sat without fuss in a pleasant atmosphere. I was pleased with the feeder with a drinking bowl for pets. Cool, it was hot. Thanks! Greetings from St. Petersburg!
A great cafe is a step away from the Brest fortress. Pleasant interior and staff, European menu (everything is delicious), service is not very fast, but it does not spoil the impression. You can take coffee with you. The price tag is average.
Positive:
The food is very tasty.
Large portions.
It is convenient to combine it with a visit to the Brest fortress.
Cons:
Long waiting time.
The dishes were brought to everyone at different times (there was a difference of more than 30 minutes between the first and third guest).
But the dishes were great - so still 5 points.
Great cafe! The staff is polite, attentive and caring! The kitchen is on fire! All dishes are served when ready quickly and sooo delicious! I definitely recommend you to visit!
After reading excellent reviews, I took a company of 9 people there after visiting the fortress. There were two locals among us, they offered to go somewhere else, but we insisted on this particular institution. Yeah, I haven't seen such service anywhere else, while some of us were eating, others were sitting bored. The waiter barely moved, brought two glasses and juice, we asked three times, bring another glass, we have three children. Caesar was brought quickly, draniki 1 was brought after 20 minutes, 2 after forty, how is that? The pizza was actually cooked for about an hour, it was absolutely not tasty. Pancakes with cream sauce are not tasty at all, potatoes are not felt. We ordered three glasses of beer, they came up twice and reminded us that there was no time or no one to pour it. Again, two were brought, and the third after reminders. The only delicious thing was the stuffed chicken leg with potatoes, which was cooked before the French fries. When everyone had already eaten, once again, after reminders and questions about where our potatoes were, we were told they were cooking for another 10 minutes. In a word, we finished the potatoes on the go, the mood was spoiled, and we were in a hurry for the city day. Next time, if we are in Brest, we will go to another place. We were sitting outside, there was a banquet in the room, maybe that's why everything was slow, long and not very willing.
A beautiful cozy place, three steps from the Brest fortress. Delicious food in a very pleasant interior, in warm weather you can choose places on the outdoor veranda. Like it
A good cafe at affordable prices. Everything was delicious. We took pasta and pizza. It is very good that it is located near the Brest fortress. I've had a walk and I can eat
Beautiful interior, delicious food that was served quickly enough! On Saturday, at 12-13 p.m., there were not very many people, mostly everyone was on the outdoor terrace. I was here 4 years ago, everything is just as pleasant and calm :)
We dined at the Forget-me-not twice, and both times very successfully. We took a business lunch, it turned out to be very profitable, and most importantly, incredibly tasty. Pancakes with a machanka are a separate delight. Toasted craft bread is served for lunch, which the children sweep away at the same minute.
The service is friendly and unobtrusive, the design is pleasant, especially the bird-shaped lamps.
A decent cafe near the fortress. A thoughtful and cozy interior that combines attention to detail and convenience for visitors. Lots of greenery. The polite waiters demonstrated a high level of service. (Although it was worth putting a napkin under the drinks, but this is at the level of a personal fad) Delicious food (based on two pizzas ordered), which was served quickly enough for this kind of order. There is a summer terrace overlooking the river and a pedestrian bridge. Thanks to the air conditioners, even in hot weather, it was comfortable to be inside the establishment. The chirping of birds from the speakers in the restroom is worth noting separately.
The place is interesting and cozy. We ordered pancakes, very tasty. The waitress girls are friendly and attentive. The prices are acceptable. Especially when you consider that it is near a tourist attraction.
The staff is always polite. Delicious cuisine. I especially recommend carrot spiced pie and Viennese waffles. Prices are average in the city. Near the Brest fortress. Comfortable chairs, armchairs. Beautiful interior. There is a terrace outside. In general, it is also a good place for photo shoots.
In short, everything is very tasty. In my opinion, the same pancakes are tastier and crisper than in Cornflowers. The feed is fast. Delicious drinks of our own production. But it seems to me that the dishes do not reach the weight. After the cafe, the children wanted to eat more, so they had to go to another one.
A great place to have a snack after a walk through the fortress and birch bark. I expected much less from the cafe, which in fact has no competitors, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious and not very expensive.
In August 2024, my husband and I visited the Brest fortress and went to have a snack. Everything is delicious, at a price no more expensive than in other cafes. I would only like the name of the Forget-me-not cafe to be reflected in the interior.
Delicious food, the dish was served quickly.
There was not something available that they chose from the menu (they wanted to try Brest beer, ran out, decided to take tea).
In general, I liked the cafe, I recommend visiting it, especially after a walk through the territory of the fortress, take a breath, eat, and move on for a walk around the city.
70 percent of the impression of the place is neither the atmosphere nor the dishes, but the service, in my opinion. I've been to the Forget-me-not twice and I've had poor service twice. For the first time, the waitress mixed up the order- she brought a dish that I hadn't ordered. Then she began to prove to me in a raised tone that it was my mistake. The evening was ruined. For the second time I was faced with the lack of professionalism of the waiter. This minus spoils the whole impression.
We went to eat after visiting the Brest Fortress (by the way, if you haven't been there, be sure to go!).
We ordered pancakes, a frying pan with fried eggs and a steak with sweet potatoes.
The waitress asked what kind of roast steak to cook. They asked for a medium. As a result, what was brought could not be called a steak. These were pieces of sliced meat completely fried. It makes sense to ask for roasting, ours bring well done anyway. And why does the steak look like a barbecue? Teach the cook how to cook meat.
Everything else was delicious. But I'm shooting a star for the steak.
I was with my son on 09/28/24 And ordered 2 borscht, pancakes with machanka, pasta carbonara, vegetable salad, 2 lemonades. We focused on waiting for 25 minutes. But we were pleasantly surprised by bringing it all in 10 minutes. Everything is delicious. The staff is polite and helpful. Thanks!
We were at a business lunch. The cafe is located right next to the Brest fortress, the atmosphere inside is pleasant. What surprised me was the lack of choice of a business lunch, he was alone. There are no questions about the food and the price tag - a beautiful presentation and delicious.
We found this place by chance, we were walking when we were standing at the border checkpoint. But if I'm in Brest again, I'll definitely come by.
Beautiful interior: large Windows, two halls, a summer terrace, quite a few tables.
Class. We were pleasantly surprised, the kitchen and service are excellent. Not every restaurant has such a level of customer service. I will be in Brest- I will definitely come back!!!
We came to Brest to walk around the great places. We had a great dinner, everything is very tasty, salad, pancakes, juices, lemonades, soups, everything was very, very pleasant!
The atmosphere is peculiar, in a good way.The summer terrace is very nice because there are a lot of fans, I didn't even go inside).the prices are so-so (, at the end of the day, the range of drinks on sale is smaller.
We were in Brest, visited the Brest fortress, and went to have a snack at the exit.To be honest, we thought that the kitchen would be average, and the prices would be high.Surprisingly, the food was delicious and fresh. They ordered fried eggs with potatoes and sausages, and brought a whole pan each.Very tasty. The prices are also comparable to other establishments.Definitely, we recommend it for a snack.
A good cafe, but there may not be tables, there is Parking nearby. They cook quickly and tasty. There is a children's corner
You can call and book a table
Applause for the chef and his team. The service and quality of the dishes are at the restaurant level. We came to see Belarus and couldn't help but come to the Brest Fortress. We went to have lunch at the Forget-me-not, the service and food are only excellent!
It's delicious, stylish, and the service is good. Draniki, like everywhere else, are very greasy. The prices are average for Belarus, for Brest, I think it's a bit expensive.
On the final evening of our trip to Brest, we wanted to have dinner at the Citadel, as we had already dined there, but the cafe was closed for maintenance. My husband offered to go to the Forget-me-not, I resisted because it seemed a bit simple to me, but I still gave in to my husband and did not regret it!!!
Everything was great, delicious and the portions are very large. The service is excellent. Special thanks for the lighted candles!!!
Delicious on the menu, voluminous portions, cool in the heat (the air conditioner is working properly). In general, after a walk through the Brest fortress, you can go in
Fine. It's cozy and sunny, the service is pleasant, and most importantly, all the food that was taken is heartily and deliciously cooked. Large portions. And even in this location👍 We are satisfied🙋♀️🙋🏼♂️
A wonderful place, I advise everyone!
Fast service and delicious food. We took the soup of the day (borscht, but we were too hungry for photos), pancakes with machanka and fried eggs with sausages.
We were delighted with each dish, the cappuccino is also delicious
There are beautiful birds everywhere in the interior, it was interesting to consider, a very cozy place
The nearest cafe to the entrance to the Brest Fortress is convenient for those who came from afar and decided to have a snack before visiting the memorial. Beautiful interior, soft comfortable chairs. The food is delicious, it takes a long time to cook, the portions are medium, something even small (such as extras for Viennese waffles). I'm lowering my rating for too much (too much!!!!) Unfortunately, I did not remember the name of the intrusive waiter. At the time of ordering, serving the dishes, everything is super. But when you eat, it's unpleasant that a person walks around and literally looks at your plate every minute to see if you've finished your portion. Why ask if you can take the plate away if there is still food in it? Why grab a plate when I still have, excuse me, the last spoonful of soup in my mouth? I don't think there's such a shortage of dishes in the establishment. I ask the administration to conduct additional staff training on table etiquette. Otherwise, no complaints, I recommend the establishment.
Pleasantly surprised! Large portions of hot dishes and a large dessert. Delicious. The service is fast. A good location, just at the exit from the Brest fortress. Come in and refresh yourself after the tour.
A good cafe, I went there after a walk in the fortress to warm up and have a snack.Clear, fast and delicious. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly.Good location near the parking lot!
A very pleasant cafe. The service is good, fast, the guys are all friendly. We took delicious Viennese waffles), mashed mushroom soup also went with a bang. The atmosphere is an entourage.
Delicious, reasonable prices, fast service, but first you have to stand in line there - at least in shopping malls in the summer there were queues to enter.
A great, cozy and very tasty cafe! We took solyanka (soup from the chef) and draniki, everything is incredibly delicious! Cappuccino is amazing! The service is very polite! If we are in Brest again, we will definitely come! I recommend it!
Salad with duck pear and shrimp - the duck is withered in places. Homemade lemonade is a cheap diluted chemical.
Mohoti is a lemon instead of a lime. Pancakes with a sponge are OK, languid cheeks - they said 40 minutes, brought 10 hours later and then, after complaining to the waiter, the meat is OK, the potatoes are partially raw. The conclusion is that the stars are very twisted. The price category does not match even close.
