Melisa Hotel is located 450m from Kata Beach, about 5 minutes on foot and 1.1km from Kata Noi Beach, about 15 minutes on foot. The 7/11 store is located right in the hotel building, very convenient. The dining room is also located in the next building. The breakfasts are delicious, according to the menu from 7:00-10:30. You can also have lunch and dinner there, but we went to different places. There is no deposit.
The room (3403) is clean, cleaned and towels are changed every day! There is a refrigerator, a hair dryer. Shampoo, gel, soap, toilet paper, tea, coffee, and water were brought every day. The view from the balcony of the neighboring building and the sunsets. Among the disadvantages are old plumbing, water interruptions, poor pressure, it is unclear how the switches work (we only worked at the bed). The Wi-fi works perfectly. The air conditioner works great. There is a safe. The laundry on the balcony, of course, dries very slowly due to humidity, but we were ready for this. The pool is clean, not very large, next to the toilet, shower, 4 sun beds. There are almost no people by the pool. It is open from 8:00 to 18:00.
The staff is very friendly and friendly, they speak Thai and English. They're smiling. We are ready to help, I asked for a fruit knife, because there was no one in the room, and you can't put it in your luggage. Then we bought our own at 7/11. Almost all the guests were Russian.
The place is over simple, but super convenient location. Everything in the area is within walking distance. The hotel has its own restaurant, which is very decent. There is a massage parlor. The pool is conditional, purely for show. The rooms are clean, cleaned every day. Those who love luxury are probably not for you. Who plans to travel around and return to a cozy home hotel is the best thing
I want to warn you right away, if you take a tour from anex online, you will most likely be accommodated not in the main building, but in the neighboring one. Well, now in order
Of the advantages:
The hotel itself is small, and the natali building is even smaller. There are 3 residential floors with 4 rooms on each. Which is actually a plus- well, basically everyone of course comes to the rooms only to spend the night.
Another advantage is that the room itself is large. There is a large bed, a wardrobe, a table and chairs, an android TV. We connected our Google and downloaded kinopoisk, watched movies before going to bed))) there is a kettle, a hairdryer, a refrigerator and a safe. There is also a small balcony and there is a clothes dryer on it.
The bathroom is clean, it is clear that it has recently been renovated, the tiles in the bathroom are fresh, without fungus. One of the disadvantages of the bathroom is that instead of a towel rack, there are two small hooks. And there is no shelf where you could put all kinds of creams and so on. All this was stored in my room itself
The rooms were cleaned every day. And every day they gave two 0.5 l bottles of water
Breakfasts were held in the main building from 7:00 to 10:30. They offer you a choice of a menu of 11 or 12 items. Basically variations of scrambled eggs (with bacon, with sausages, with a sandwich, etc.) drinks to choose from (two types of juice, water tea and coffee) and a plate of fruit
The biggest plus is the location of the hotel, 7 minutes to Kata beach, 20 minutes to Kata noi. It turns out to be the second line from the sea, the street is quiet, calm, without crowds of tourists. Several delicious and inexpensive cafes, a pharmacy is also cheaper than directly on Kata, the 7/11 store is small. But the main products are in stock.
Now to the cons
Swimming pool. Do not treat this hotel as a hotel with a swimming pool. This is a frog house, and it works until 18:00
The air conditioners in the Natali building were constantly buggy. In our room, the temperature relay was periodically turned off and the air conditioner was running at full capacity. This usually happened at night when the air conditioner was running for a long time.
But in the room next to us, the air conditioner always worked like
this, i.e. the residents had to turn it on and off all the time, otherwise they could freeze
Well, the view from the window, on the street and a little bit on the mountain
In general, this economy-class hotel is for those who come to the room just to spend the night. If you are with children or lovers of hanging out in the rooms or by the pool - go right past this option
( in the photo, the second pillow in a black pillowcase is my personal pillowcase 🤣 my hair is dyed red and it can leave traces on white hotel linen. That's why I always take my pillowcase on trips)
