A wonderful museum! I visited there with great pleasure, there are a lot of interesting things! When you climb up a narrow ladder to the very top, you feel like a medieval knight, and when you walk along a wooden gallery, the boards of which creak under your feet, and the ground is visible in the cracks, somewhere very far away, it generally takes your breath away!
It's a pity we didn't get there. But I'm sure it's cool and there's something to see. And on the other hand, it is sometimes very interesting to look at Mother Russia.
cleanly, the fortress itself is generally empty, Herman's castle is more interesting, the tower is the most interesting there, there are few expositions, but there is a feeling that you are in a medieval castle. 15 tiers, in March - April 2020, they promise to open two wings from the exposition, but they will not be in time. the ticket costs 8 euros for adults, schoolchildren give a coin for free to the ticket, which can be exchanged for small souvenirs in the courtyard of the castle. There are no problems with the language, everyone speaks Russian.
The Soul Museum. You can climb a high tower and look at Ivangorod and Narva from above, simultaneously examining the exhibits (there are few of them, but there are interesting ones). And there is a bit of medieval life in the courtyard - a blacksmith shop, shops, bonfires with tea. It was fun for the kids too.
A large-scale reconstruction is underway on the territory and in the castle. Half of the castle is closed. But the open one is empty except for two floors. There are clearly not enough exhibits.
