Favorite cafe in Abkhazia. It even works out of season. They cook at home. I really want to mention coffee, chanakhi, salad seems to be "tender", tangerine juice. One family has been supplying them with juice for many years. We bought it with us in three-liter cans. It is very different from what is poured everywhere. Either the variety is different, or they peel tangerines, and others crumple them with skins. Also in the cafe there is delicious ice cream in metal cremans like in the USSR 🫶🏻😊
We were on vacation several times. Of all the things ordered, I liked the barbecue and homemade wine the most. The prices are adequate, waiting 15-20 minutes. Friendly staff.
The food is ordinary, there are national dishes, but they are not wow. However, I was impressed by the barbecue, it's really delicious. Fast delivery, reasonable prices, friendly staff.
Friendly staff, delicious food, good portions, reasonable prices, despite the interior, a very high-calorie place, one of the best quality dishes in New Athos
They cook delicious and in a special way. Fast and reliable feed. A large selection of national dishes. Good homemade wines. Convenient location, you will not pass by. And your own flavor. I advise everyone.
The score of 4.9 is not true. Cons: there are no people at all, the place is not popular, Okroshka with pickled cucumber (this is something with something, do not order, it is not tasty), cracked plates, worn greasy menus on the tables, flies fly everywhere, there are no napkins on the tables, the tables wobble so that when you cut the meat everything spills out of the glasses By the way, the knives are blunt, the meat is not cut.... Rating 3 is a stretch
Sorry, but not really. Frying pan - boiled vegetables in liquid, not even ajabsandal. Salad - it is not clear how it was possible to cross these products, well, such a thing...
Disgusting barbecue. The meat is tough, it can be seen that it was cooked very much in advance, it was cooked and in places it managed to dry up to a crunch. French fries and semi-cooked in a rustic way. I liked only the Greek salad and coffee.
The toilet is a separate story... instead of a handle and a lock, there is a twine threaded through the hole where the handle used to be. But, as they say, thank you for having it at all. Most establishments lack even such minimal amenities.
We had coffee in the cafe with pleasure while our khachapuri and egg were waiting. We were made from the heat of the boat. The manufacturing process itself can be observed through a window.
I recommend you to visit them and taste the delicious khachapuri.

I'm sorry, of course, but this is clearly not 4.8. The atmosphere and design of a Soviet cafe. The musical accompaniment is original and calm, which I can note as a plus. Pleasant and courteous staff is also a plus.
I would also like the food to be unusual and delicious, and not "like at home". Like at home, I'll eat at home). They cook quickly, but it's too simple. I was not impressed, at 4.8, well, no way.
The price tags are not space, they are ordinary. For 600 rubles, you can normally eat alone.
I'll give you 3 points, just for the charisma of the hostess.
The cafe is not very good, even the toilet was not made normal, and there is also a faucet on the street, which flows all the time. I didn't like the kitchen, everything was not cultured, we didn't even finish what we ordered.
We had dinner here on 22.11.23. The cafe is very simple. The staff is friendly. The order was prepared quickly, everything was fresh and quite edible. The prices are not expensive.
We eat in this cafe every day - delicious, the atmosphere is very pleasant, cozy!!!
Very responsive hosts, you can order homemade food and wine by a specific time - everything is delicious and the wine is already chilled, they will be waiting for you in this hospitable place❤We recommend 100%
PS we were with the children, everything was delicious for the children.
Of course, we realized that we entered this institution out of season and at the wrong time, but two hungry children did not leave us the opportunity to look for a place where at least the kitchen works.
One of the tables was occupied by the hosts or local guests who were watching the news on TV at full volume, and after all, the current political situation is by no means conducive to digestion, neither in children nor in adults. The request to change the soundtrack to light jazz was taken as a joke, adding a selected Russian mat to the military reports so that the children not only absorbed a broth cube of maggie from the noodle soup, but also a whole cultural layer of world vision, which, if I share, I find the strength not to voice.
The hot frying pan for 400 turned out to be cold, because there is no way to put it in the microwave. And yesterday's poorly heated, with a characteristic soft cold middle, French fries, finally broke our hearts. Then a scene with color was included in our menu, where offended by the remark about the terrible potatoes, they sincerely resented, swore by all their children the freshness of the dishes, raising their eyebrows and hands to the sky, asked what kind of normal mother would order this American misunderstanding at all when there are normal potatoes in a rustic way, pathetically shouted out the kitchen window, demanding to join to the general heat. So, having demonstrated either a proud and ardent Caucasian character, or the consequences of the radiation from the TV, the owners left an indelible impression.
They took the grub and brought soup with stew. It was very frustrating. Well, they served the Abkhazians, no offense to the friendly Abkhazians will be told
We highly recommend it!!! A cool, atmospheric place!! Delicious, sincere and always cozy!!!
They will cook everything for you quickly and fresh!!
We were with two children - everything was delicious for them!!!
After spending a week in Abkhazia and visiting many places (we were by car), we ate in many places. And here we liked it the most. The kitchen is homely and with a soul! Everything was just great!!! If you are a good, cultured person, then you will find a common language with the hostess, appreciate all the dishes from the full. No wonder her father said:the secret of my dishes is that I make them with my soul! That's all! Maybe someone was unlucky because of the large number of people arriving during rush hour, but we think it's more of an accident. We were at the end of May, all the food was cooked with us, everything is fresh and sooo delicious! Good luck to everyone. To the owners of health and prosperity!
Unexpectedly, we had a very tasty lunch, took kharcho, chicken soup, khachapuri and a hot frying pan. Hearty, homemade food, everything was brought quickly!
They lived in Tsandripsha in 2020.We were on an excursion to Mount Athos in caves, a monastery, we stopped at this cafe (opposite there is a great dining room if anything, but there were SOOO many people, we decided not to wait, which we regretted very much later....), went to the cafe "MzymtA", asked the prices of pasta with a cutlet in the region of 150 rubles per a portion (two adults, two children) -we took three servings and one just pasta and compote, gave 1000, brought change 100 rubles-they charged us for 4 servings with cutlets...to the question-"why is it so expensive", they said that the portions are considered whole, but the money was still expensive, I say-"even if they took the third, and the rest of the money for what?".They said, "for the service!!!".Be careful!!!I still have a strong aftertaste from this cafe (I dined in many)...We said we were on a field trip, maybe that's why they decided to separate us...I wouldn't recommend it to anyone...
A great place to relax!
Minuses:
- cats and dogs that come begging from everywhere! (Although this is more for the compassionate who are pampered).
- sometimes there is no beef.
-
Positive:
+delicious food and drinks.
+ pleasant and helpful staff.
+ they love Tatars
I recommend it!
P.S. Take Aunt Tanya chak-chak!)
Despite the unsightly appearance and the narrow toilet, it was quite tasty, we took noodle soup, khinkali and meat in Abkhazian, we were satisfied with everything, the hostess is friendly
This is the most terrible cafe I've been to, so in order:
The menu is battered, the prices have changed, so they crookedly glued a Band-Aid and wrote the prices.
We ordered kharcho, chicken noodles, khinkali...
noodle soup as cooked, in the morning at best, so we threw pasta there, boiled completely, just porridge. They forgot to add kharcho to the kharcho, but they brought the adjika well, apparently homemade, so it's good and only with it they managed to at least some
get a taste of grub (by the way, not one star, but two just for this adjika). And so a meal of water and rice, with a piece of meat.
Khinkali is generally some kind of failure, I have never eaten such a thing, out of 5 pieces 3 are full of holes, overcooked, sticky, falling apart, minced meat is not salty and tasteless, made it is unclear by whom and how, it tastes better in a store with semi-finished products, I strongly advise not.

Meat solyanka is a real Abkhazian dish: moderately fatty, a lot of meat. Locals don't eat broth , so they serve it with a fork , but we asked for a spoon and ate the broth. The scrambled eggs and cheese were delicious , the yolk was flowing . We also took a couple of salads: Greek and ham, it seems - moderately tasty. The price tag is acceptable. The assortment is small.
Very friendly hosts, delicious and simple food is a great option for those who are hungry for tasty and simple. And try out the traditional cuisine. The ideal time to visit is outside tables in the sunset hours) fast and uncomplicated service.
The best prices in New Athos. Delicious local lovely female chefs cook. The menu is pretty standard. The PORTIONS are HUGE. If the goal is to eat on a budget, go to Mzymta. You won't lose it.
They cook very well. The very friendly hostess of the establishment. Perhaps the most delicious tangerine juice that has been tasted in all visits to this country. I recommend it to everyone
They cook very tasty, everything is fresh. Hashlama 10 points. Delicious tangerine juice. For the price, it is not expensive. We are well-fed and satisfied!!! 👍🤗☺️
So-so, kharcho is one water, shish kebab is dry (it was forgotten with one side on the grill) khachapuri is burnt. Guys, no complaints about the quality of service, but you can learn how to cook delicious food!!!
The food is very tasty here. The portions are large, but the price is small. The staff is polite and kind. There is also a very good wine here. Compared to other establishments, the price-quality ratio is excellent!

A very sad place! We waited a long time. We got into the hall when the police were having lunch. Of course, they were fed as a priority, otherwise they will lose weight. And the child waited for soup for almost an hour! And the result of a long wait, it's not food! I ordered chinakhs, everywhere they are large pieces of vegetables and meat. Here it's porridge, similar to dog food. There is 1 piece of meat for the whole dish. This is a failure!!!
We had lunch there, walking around the local attractions. Friendly hosts, the food is inexpensive and tasty. At 1400, the two of them ate their fill. The kebab and khachapuri are great. The solyanka is rich. The trout is a little pumped up, but it's also delicious. Homemade wine can be taken safely - not a bodyguard.
The range of dishes is small. The beer was brought warm. The chicken is undercooked, after the remark they fried it and brought back the same piece. The toilet outside is terrible, it doesn't close. Nevertheless, 10% of the order is added to the bill
The dining room is spacious, two tables inside, several on the covered veranda. The portions are "huge", everything is delicious. A portion for four adults in the region of 1000 rubles.
The area is mesmerizing in its beauty. Friendly people. And our guide was just a bomb. We listened to her with our mouths open. I advise you to visit these places.
We were here as a family, ate delicious and inexpensive (lunch for four 1k with a tip of 10%). Large portions, hearty, especially liked borscht, okroshka, khachapur, meat pan. A friendly hostess. A great option to have lunch after the New Athos cave or the trail to the grottoes of Simon the Canonite (everything is nearby there).
Pork kebab is very hard, there is little cheese in khachapur.
The staff seemed a little intrusive, half of the items from the menu were not available (end of April 2022).
