I liked Mogilev very much. A good local guide told me about him. We visited many attractions. We took a lot of photos. The Mogilev hotel is nice, clean, everything works, there are towels, the elevator works, the TV too. The breakfast is wonderful, there is enough for everyone. I was on a three-day excursion from the Golden Time travel agency
The monastery is amazing in its beauty. The architecture and decoration of the walls of St. Nicholas Cathedral are especially striking. The monastery was founded in 1636 by St. Peter the Grave, Metropolitan of Kiev, Galicia and All Russia. During the First World War, the headquarters of the Russian Army was located in Mogilev for several years. Nicholas II regularly visited this monastery. After the revolution, since the late 30s, there was a prison on the territory of the monastery. At dawn, there is a fantastic view of the monastery from the park
The monastery is located a little away from the main tourist routes, but it is located in a picturesque place. Its structure resembles a small castle – there is a stone fence, a large temple, monastic buildings, a high bell tower.
This is the most sincere, calm, beautiful place. There is a toilet nearby, but there is no refectory for visitors.

It's a very beautiful place. The temple is beautiful both externally and internally and is very connected with the memory of Tsar Nicholas II. The monastery is located in the city, but you need to go down the park stairs, you can walk around the park.previously, there was a wasteland here.but the beautiful one was broken by the forces of the authorities.the park is in demand by the residents of the city. They come here in families, that's why.if the parents go to the temple.then children join this tradition, which is good for family upbringing and observance of Russian traditions. Groups of tourists are often brought to the monastery, who listen to the history of the religious building and have the opportunity to collect holy water, pray, and write notes.
An old beautiful place.Peace and quiet. It's good to sit and think. After visiting, there is no desire to communicate with the locals. It feels like you owe them a lot...
Sooo interesting, beautiful, salty place!! Be sure to come there to pray and learn the story! The main temple has a unique iconostasis, many miraculous, revered icons! An amazing place! Friendly nuns!
A wonderful place. I go there regularly. A very spiritual monastery that preserves the old Orthodox traditions. A real monument of Orthodoxy and architecture... I love this place
The interior is impressive, the highly artistic work of wood carvers, the rich altar, and ancient icons. An interesting history of conservation and revival.
They wanted to baptize their daughter there, but they told us that they were already doing this only in temples and churches. And the territory, as well as the monastery itself, is very beautiful
It turned out to be very mystical here too. The day before, we were participants in the removal of the icon... The Mother of God and the movement of the shrine with a Red passage. They just didn't know where the miraculous image was being transferred. Our way was from Mogilev to Gomel. After seeing off the miraculous image, we stayed in the temple and after that walked to the zoo and back to the temple. There they boarded a car and, with full confidence that the Miraculous Image had gone to Mogilev, continued their journey in the direction of Gomel. What a delight it was to meet the procession again. After about five kilometers towards Gomel....
Well, we were surprised. They crossed themselves. We praised our Lord for such happiness and moved on. The next day, after returning from Gomel back to Mogilev. We stayed at the grocery store. And while I was waiting for my friends to return from the store. So, I decided to look into the application that I always use when traveling (___travel) to see. What are some of the interesting places nearby. It turned out that there was a park next to a temple and a monastery. I put a grid on the convent. I enter the temple and....
Here it is, a miraculous image. I asked the "blueberries", exactly. It was this face that was delivered with the Procession. Surprisingly...
I don't visit this monastery as often as I would like, but I always find peace and quiet here, I advise everyone to come here at least once and you will feel the aura of peace in your soul.
Very beautiful. I recommend a visit. Just remember that you can't go there in shorts and short skirts. Handkerchiefs are hung at the entrance to the monastery. They can be taken.
Must-visit)
In the 30s there were mass shootings and burials here . Nowadays, parts of the graves can be seen and imbued with the horrors of how many souls have suffered and are suffering for Christ.
A place where the soul rests. After visiting the temple, I really like to just sit on a bench in the courtyard of the monastery, admire the beautiful flower beds. A place of spiritual relaxation. Entering the territory of the monastery, I want to say: "and let the world wait here.".....I really love this place.
This place is saturated with sincerity and the joy of finding peace and balance.
Beautiful territory, shady gazebo with water nearby. The nuns help to put the candle right.
A historical place. The main church of St. St. Nicholas is a wonderful example of Belarusian architecture of the XVII century, the monastery, however, is older, he still remembers the False Dmitry II, who for some time, even before declaring himself "the saved Tsar Dmitry", lived here. On the territory of the monastery there is a temple of Onufriy the Great of the XIX century, a cell building, a necropolis, an orchard and a beautiful flower garden.
There is no special experience to compare monasteries and temples, I can say that it looks decent, a large territory, Tsar Nicholas 2 often visited this temple when he lived in Mogilev, at a time when Mogilev was the military capital of the Republic
A beautiful complex, where there is a portrait of Nicholas II, turned into an icon. Interestingly, a gold coin is attached to the icon, which was once given to the boy by the last emperor, which his descendants later donated to the church.
It is very beautiful and well maintained. It was not possible to get into the main temple, but they got into the small one. The atmosphere was very interesting and the presence of stoves surprised me.
It looks very neat. I constantly see people mowing grass or painting something nearby. Everything is very well maintained. There is a tap with water nearby, it helps a lot in the heat, especially if you forgot a bottle of water.
If you haven't been to the Podnikol, you haven't been to one of the best places in Mogilev. The most suitable place for a family vacation. The only thing missing is a decent fast food zone
This is a holy place, since in the post-war period many remains of people who were destroyed by the Germans were found here. There is a belief that for everyone who comes to this monastery, the souls of the slain martyrs offer prayers to God for salvation!
One of the oldest monasteries in Belarus, a place of attraction for Mogilev residents and pilgrims from all over the world.
Currently, there are more than 10 residents. It is open to the public.
This is not just an island of Faith! Here is the depth of Prayer, Faith and Love! Here you can pray for the Liturgy and sit in silence!Such a 3-tier iconostasis (a masterpiece of architecture!!!)like in a monastery, there is only one more in Russia, many icons and an ark with relics!I am glad that many pilgrims come to our monastery!!!!
A beautiful ancient temple with a unique wooden iconostasis of the 17th century. Be sure to visit! Please note that this is now the territory of an active convent, so there are clothing requirements: long sleeves, skirt and covered head for women, long trousers and sleeves for men. At the entrance, you can take a skirt and a scarf if necessary.
The construction of the monastery began in the XVII century, when Metropolitan Peter of Kiev (Grave) received the consent of the Grand Duke of Lithuania and King Vladislav IV of Poland to build the Church of St. Nicholas in Mogilev. During the reign of the Mogilev diocese, Bishop Sylvester (Kossov) built a temporary wooden St. Nicholas Church in 1637. The construction of the unheated brick church began in 1669, and in 1672 it was consecrated by Bishop Theodosius I (Vasilevich).[1]
At the beginning of the XVIII century, the monastery was attacked by the Swedes, and later by Russian troops, Tatar and Kalmyk regiments. St. Nicholas Monastery was set on fire and significantly damaged during the fire. In 1719, the last nuns of the monastery moved to the Barkolabovsky monastery. At the same time, the monastery began to operate, which lasted until 1754. From 1754 to the 30s of the XX century, the monastery operated as a parish.
In 1793, under Archbishop George (Konissky), construction began on a winter heated church next to St. Nicholas Cathedral, which in 1798 was consecrated by Archbishop Anastasius (Romanenko-Bratanovsky), now it is the Onufrievsky Temple.
From August 1915 to November 1917, the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was located in Mogilev and Emperor Nicholas II and his extended family visited St. Nicholas Cathedral while staying at the headquarters
