Perhaps the best museum in the city, and don't tell me that there are only two halls. The main thing is to take a tour, it's not expensive, but keep in mind that they only accept cash (as in all other museums in Orsha). The guide is simply cosmos (I don't know the name, I only remember that a pretty girl with beautiful earrings) - she talked with great interest about the author's life and work, read poetry, answered questions, and even gave some useful information about the city. And all this is on a Belarusian MOU, I'm not a Belarusian, but it was understandable. I definitely recommend you to visit. Finally, we also bought a magnet with Korotkevich and kittens. And the main thing in this whole story is that upon returning home, I started reading "The Black Castle of Olshansky" (:
An interesting museum and an amazing tour guide. The excursions are in Belarusian, but everything is clear. The girl has a bright, lively speech. The girl is very bright and stands out from the classical idea of guides, but the more interesting it is
We really enjoyed visiting the museum! The tour was interesting, informative, and most importantly, on a jumpy native move. The staff, two wonderful, sincere girls. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in the life and work of V.S. Korotkevich!
A museum dedicated to the life and work of the great Belarusian writer.
While at the museum, I learned that there was a maternity hospital here a long time ago, where Vladimir Korotkevich was born.
The joint exhibition "The Origins of femininity: Tradition and modernity". Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, grateful visitors. And all this on the eve of March 8th.
We didn't regret coming in a bit. But! Take a tour (only 12 bel. r.). It turned out to be an individual for two)) a great guide who loves his job. I read Korotkevich, and then he turned out to be an incredible man!
The pleasant atmosphere of the museum .A large exposition about the life and work of V.S.Korotkevich. The tour is wonderful! The exhibition hall and gallery are gorgeous! The most pleasant impressions!
While in Orsha, it is a sin not to go to the Vladimir Korotkevich Museum. The classic of Belarusian literature, the author of "The Wild Hunt of King Stach" and other works, wrote in Belarusian, respectively, the tour was conducted for me in the author's native language. It was very interesting, without the story of the guide, Mrs. Katerina, visiting the museum would have been much less useful. The exposition (there are personal belongings of the writer) is good with the story, and it is in Belarusian. It would be nice to read the author's works on a regular move before the visit), he will feel just like at home! The guided tour cost about 15-16 Belarusian rubles. There are souvenirs, my advice to the administration is to buy a coffee machine and sell cava and croissants - the visit will become even more cozy). I recommend you to visit, especially Belarusians, and Russians will not be superfluous. Oh, yes, but one thing-they only accept cash.
They say that the zemstvo hospital was located in this building at one time, and Vladimir Korotkevich was born in it. They also say that on his birthday he comes here every year ...
Legends are legends, but the museum is imbued with love for Vladimir Semyonovich. Everything breathes it here. This is the house where the love for the writer and his work lives))
We visited this museum on May 9, 2023, by the way, the visit was absolutely free on that day. We got acquainted with little-known episodes of the life of an outstanding writer, with the versatility of his work. Since he not only wrote about, but also wrote poetry and drew and taught. I would also like to express my gratitude to the employee of this museum. For sensitivity and high service culture. We recommend this museum to visit, perhaps after this museum, you will want to read the writer's book, get to know his work better.
It's a good museum, although I haven't been there for a long time...I liked that the exhibitions in the museum often change....In general, it's great that in a city where there are no higher education institutions, there are at least wonderful museums...
A great place and a great guide. Thank you very much. I was very glad to learn new things about our classic. Still under the impression, it is very rare to meet people who are so deeply knowledgeable and interested in their business.

A very soulful place! I learned a lot about how simple the great writer was. A lot of things from the childhood of little Volodya, many letters to Korotkevich's friends have been preserved, a personal account where he worked - I remember all this very much. Be sure to take a look, there is a museum on the main street, next to the Lenin monument.
It is a very good museum, various events are often held, meetings with artists, poetry days, exhibitions are organized, the work of the museum staff is felt
A very atmospheric place, with its own history and its own individual handwriting. Interesting historical exhibits, exhibitions of contemporary artists are presented. Interesting events are taking place. Kind and friendly staff.
The Museum of the classic of Belarusian Literature in his homeland - in Orsha. V.Korotkevich wrote works of various genres: prose, poetry, plays, scripts, articles. He was an expert and adept of the Belarusian language and Belarusian history. The first information about the Belarusian history, which was almost completely silenced in Soviet times, was from Korotkevich's books.

A great museum with interesting stories from the guide. The museum is small, but we were happy not to notice how an hour and a half passed in communication.
When visiting, be sure to take a guided tour - you will learn a lot of new things.
The rabbit deserves a special place
July 5th was the day of free admission. You can see it, but it's not clear without an excursion. There are no semantic signs. The tour is 12 Belarusian rubles.
