A wonderful restaurant, with an amazing atmosphere. It's really like in a museum) It's very big. We visited once and were offered a place in the large hall on the second floor. The scale was impressive.
The choice of food is quite large. Traditional cuisine, meat dishes predominate. But there are also fish dishes. The portions are very large.
For example, there is no standard portion of pilaf, but only for two. The menu says "for two"))
A portion of pilaf 1 kg....)) so get ready that you will get a dish weighing 500 grams, this is really a lot for one))
I ordered a salad of crispy eggplant, but here it is not the same as in Nargiz. I didn't have enough tomatoes and sauce. Overall, it was delicious.
It should be borne in mind that the waiters speak Russian poorly, communicate through a Google translator))
An amazing place! Tourists should definitely visit it. The restaurant is huge, there are many halls, each with its own theme, in some it would be just a pity to eat. We were in a hall with national music. Very attentive service, after ordering food, while cooking, we were given a tour of the restaurant, the tour is interesting, and the scope of the restaurant is impressive. Payment for the tour - how much will you give. The food is beyond praise. We took an assortment of kebabs, it is designed for two, we took it for three (two men and a woman), everyone ate, ate with difficulty. We took the local beer - I liked it, and the pomegranate wine - I also really liked it. They gave me a few more wines to try, advised me which ones should be taken, which ones should not. A very pleasant attitude, as friendly as possible. We are very glad that we decided to celebrate the beginning of our vacation there. It would be possible to put 10 or 100 would be put with a pure soul.
Shirvanshah restaurant. A great place in Baku to try the local cuisine. I came specially at lunch on a weekday so that there would be places. The service is very polite and cultured. They will serve you in any case in the highest class. The place is positioned as a restaurant-museum. It's really beautiful inside. Of course, no one offered a tour, but nevertheless the interiors are impressive. A kind of caravanserai in the best traditions. The food is served very quickly, the waiters are well-trained, polite and courteous. The restaurant keeps its brand. The menu is varied. You will find anything to suit your taste and wallet. The dishes are big, so you won't order much. The average check per person with wine is 40-50 manats. It's probably more profitable to take a whole bottle, I'm talking about wine. Since there was one, I took a glass of pomegranate wine, which was very tasty. The average price for a glass of wine is 9-10 manats. I recommend this place to visit.
A wonderful restaurant. We thought it was a tourist place with inflated prices, but no. Delicious, very colorful, excellent service and prices are not higher than other restaurants for locals. The restaurant is an active museum where various antiques and utensils are collected. It is divided into different thematic zones and many separate rooms. Very large-located on 2 floors. I recommend a mandatory visit if you are in Baku.
Three floors of the restaurant, all rooms are themed, a huge menu. The prices are higher than in the city, but the portions are large and it's delicious
Positive:
The menu is very very large, and there is also a QR code where everything is with pictures
Live music
A huge restaurant where there is definitely a place for a company of any size
Color
If you ask, they will give you a tour
Cons: bordering on Cuban, it spoils the impression a little
An incredible restaurant museum, stylized as an antique. Excellent wine at an affordable price, incredible Baku cognac, as well as wonderful cuisine. Lamb kebab on a bone is just mmmm..... It seems the best place in Baku for tourists to visit is a must!
A beautiful room, a good selection of dishes, quite tasty.
But there is a huge but! There were several times and waiters and hostesses always beg for tips. In addition to the service fee, the waiter will beg for 10%, then the hostess and you leave with the feeling that you still have to stay. Despite the fact that the service is quite mediocre: once I waited 40 minutes for a teaspoon, another time I had to ask for wildcard plates several times.
If we could raise the level of service and remove begging from the staff, then of course it would be a wonderful restaurant and a solid five!
This is our first visit to Azerbaijan, and, of course, Baku. Finding a place to eat delicious food here, and also to feel the national flavor is not an easy task. I'll just say that we went to a lot of places. So this restaurant is definitely NOT worth visiting! The worst service I've ever seen. In principle, waiters do not know how to serve customers: they do not remember or at least record the order, treat customers as if I were doing a big favor, they just behave rudely. The kitchen didn't pay off either: the fish was not salty, the tea we were served was not the one we ordered, the dessert was just about nothing, by the way, half of the dishes from the menu are basically missing. And for all this pleasure, you will pay 10% of the service receipt, because they are paid by default. It's a pity that we wasted time and money on this terrible place.
In general, it is a very interesting concept to combine a museum and a restaurant. Definitely worth a visit. Thematic zones. There are Russian-speaking waiters. Excellent kutabs with different fillings. The discovery was a dolma with lime leaves. Petey was disappointed - very liquid. They cook it better in St. Petersburg and Moscow. And all because it is cooked on the rib part of the lamb, and not on the flesh.
A very colorful restaurant, many rooms decorated in a historical style. We ate 100 manats worth of wine for two. Live music, national instruments and a violin are playing. There are many places for photos. Attentive staff. The guests of Baku must visit!
It's a great place. This is both a museum and a restaurant. Delicious food, excellent service, very cool interior, many separate halls and floors. Everything is done in style. Live music, pilaf, wine, meat, etc.
The restaurant is good, but our evening was made by a guide who told us everything and showed us with colorful sayings and with such an expression as if you get into the theater, very cool!!!!
I recommend you to visit it is useful to learn the traditional cuisine of Azerbaijan, listen to the history of the emergence of the state, as well as feel the whole flavor of that time
A chic and authentic place, incredibly delicious food and various cultural and creative performances every 20-30 minutes. Guided tours of the restaurant and very responsive and responsive staff.
We were satisfied, the food was delicious, hot, everything was brought on time. We were also satisfied with the entertainment part, the national dances, the performance of music on the national instrument was excellent. If you want to get the real atmosphere of Azerbaijan, then you definitely should visit this institution.
It is very atmospheric, when visiting they offer to take a tour, be sure to visit, thank the guide the same way :) there is a very large portion of Pita for food, nats.the dish of Azerbaijan, kutab is not bad with pumpkin and cheese, the service/service is excellent
I strongly advise everyone to visit this institution and make sure to book a tour! You will get an incredible feeling of architecture and interiors from the restaurant museum! The staff is wonderful, the prices are reasonable and the service is excellent! You won 't regret it
It's a mega cool place. Endless corridors, halls
There is beauty everywhere. There is a restaurant guide who will tell the story and show all the halls.
Everything is fine on the menu too. The serving of the dishes is unusual.
Excellent Azerbaijani cuisine! Restaurant-level service. An educational cultural program for those who want to learn about the history of Baku. A visit is a must for those who visit the city for the first time!
A large restaurant with very beautiful Azerbaijani interiors. Live music, national dances. It's interesting to come for the atmosphere. In terms of food, everything is 4 plus, because I had dinner in restaurants tastier
It's just a non-real place! There are so many beautiful diverse halls, corridors and stairs, it's just incredible!!! At the entrance there is a very beautiful decor: a woman in a headscarf, various seeds and household products from ancient centuries.
Musicians walked through the halls, someone danced, someone sang, someone played instruments!!
Often there were plates with treats)
In a word, the place is super! I want to visit it again
(I celebrated my mother's birthday there)
A must-visit if you happen to be in Baku! Not cheap, but also not sky-high prices, the food is very tasty, beautiful interiors, live music, costumes of the staff, dancing, the real atmosphere of the ancient palace!!!
The restaurant is the best in Baku!!! It's a holiday every day, the musicians, the food is delicious, the waiters are hospitable..at the end of the meal, we showed a tour of the restaurant! First of all, here, choose the 2nd floor, a large hall, it is more atmospheric..
Everything is fine here. And the creaking stairs, and the musicians, and much more. Thanks to everyone who took part in the construction of such a masterpiece institution. And thanks to all the administration and staff for the kind and good reception.
A cool museum restaurant, very colorful. The food is delicious, the service is excellent. The price tag is appropriate. It is better to book a table in advance, there will be an opportunity to choose a room by shower- there are many of them.
A wonderful museum restaurant. I liked everything. The service is fast, the food is delicious. When we left our room to take a photo, the waiter found us on the ground floor and said that the food was already served!
They got confused with the tour and as a result did not spend it. The man in the suit warned that the tour was not held from 6 to 8 pm, although we were in the restaurant at about 17.40 and saw how the male receptionist was conducting a tour for other visitors, we wanted to join, he told us Later, the waiters also said that first eat, then we will conduct a tour, we thought that it would still be, but when we ate and it was already after 6, we were again told that there would be no excursion, an unpleasant aftertaste remained from this mess, although in general the place is colorful and beautiful. Tables must be booked in advance and come in the evening to see the dancing, after 19.00 every day. That's what the employee said.
A colorful institution where, in addition to traditional cuisine, you can also get acquainted with interesting exhibits of local life. There is a lot of space! For big companies, that's the thing!
I really liked this place. Beautiful, colorful. The halls are decorated in different styles and themes, but everything is connected with the history of Azerbaijan. At the end of the evening, a restaurant employee conducted a tour of the restaurant with an excursion into history.
They cook very well. A large selection of food and drinks. Excellent service.
I would like to mention the woman on stage separately. It's hard to describe her in one word. She was both a toastmaster, a DJ and a singer.
A hyped "tourist spot". Yes, it may be atmospheric, but :
1. Scanty portions, while the price tag is not puny
2. From live music, a tired violinist
3. National show - guys, these are tears. Just to the applause of the attention of their waiters, a couple of them turned around slightly with their hands raised and that's it! No staging and zero choreography. Cheap amateur activity
Very very impressed, the rooftop restaurant!! A great view of the old town is no worse than from the maiden tower, there is a free coworking center downstairs in the lobby, free tea is very cool!
The main thing is to look at everything and ask for a tour. Everything is very atmospheric, all the exhibits were collected from all over Azerbaijan. There are a lot of halls that can accommodate up to 300 guests at a time. The kitchen is the same as in other establishments, just a little more expensive. But I recommend visiting.
A place to visit for the sake of an excursion)) Very cool. The food is delicious, the portions are large. The tour is free.
The restaurant has many individual rooms for 5-10 people, all rooms are decorated in different styles from different eras of Azerbaijani life. Place 🔥🔥🔥
The historical museum restaurant, a beautiful place, visited on recommendation, did not regret it, the waiter spoke Russian, advised the most delicious positions. I really liked dolma and veal in pomegranate sauce 👌🏻
This is a great place. We spent an unforgettable evening on 03/29/2024, with live music, where they played traditional instruments, danced in costumes, and the food was delicious. There is an option to tour the restaurant, I recommend doing this, it is a very large restaurant, a lot of separate rooms with interesting interiors, traditional flavor!
A must-visit place in Baku. I don't really like tourist restaurants, but still, before leaving, my friends and I decided to stop by for lunch and did not regret it once. It's a beautiful place. Very interesting design and besides, very tasty food😋 I recommend trying Shah pilaf👍
A place of worship in the wonderful city of Baku. Shirvanshah Museum Restaurant! It's worth coming here to enjoy the interior of this place. To plunge into the atmosphere of Azerbaijan. Delicious food and pleasant staff
The most unpleasant place for the whole vacation in Baku. The only thing from the restaurant here is the price and the serving, that's all. We ordered a salad with Baku tomatoes, asked if they were sweet? Absolutely! As a result, this is a roughly planed "summer" salad made of plastic tomatoes, in a plate that is much smaller than the serving volume, with a lemon on top. They brought a bread basket-stale tasteless bread, asked the waiter if there was a kebab from the thigh, there is! Okay, we double-checked with the administrator, in fact there is a barbecue made from a chicken mix. The portions are extremely small, the prices are tourist. the word service has not been heard in this institution, they live by the principle that the restaurant is always right! The administrator was given feedback on the salad - the answer is the best tomatoes. We say it's plastic, no, it's the best tomatoes. And our bread is the best! The answer to everything is that we have the best, we don't know why you don't like it. There was also a "tour" of a million rooms of this institution - in this style - "this is the hall of weapons, book it for your events, this is the hall of teachers - it is always at your service, etc." The cherry on the cake is a taxi that was called to us for 3 times more expensive than we would have called a taxi that clearly works with a restaurant in a clutch. After this institution, we visited dozens of places, we did not meet such an attitude towards guests anywhere.
The entourage, the service is decent, I especially liked the free tour and the man who conducted it. The food did not cause any special impressions to taste. But I really liked the presentation of the shah pilaf.
The food is mediocre, but the chic interior with a huge number of antiques from different eras makes up for everything here. The staff will be happy to provide a free tour.
I visited this institution on the advice of friends, went to a family lunch. An interesting interior, especially for children. The cuisine, as in most places in Baku, is at a high level.
The only thing that spoiled the impression was the service, with a sufficiently large number of staff, it was quite difficult to find and order or ask for something, since it was not possible to understand where the waiters were. Waiting for an order or any request stretched for dozens of minutes.
I am writing an honest review, for those who are going there on the advice of guides and starting from a good rating here! We visited this institution on May 9, 2024. This most recommended restaurant left a very bad impression! The FOOD IS NOT DELICIOUS!!! Even the flatbread was not fresh, as if it had been bought in a supermarket, but they kind of have a tandoor..! The dolma was suspiciously cooked very quickly and served faster than the fries, burnt in places, with musty, smelly oil on the bottom and dripping from them. And they themselves smelled terrible! Even the salad with vegetables is not about anything. absolutely not seasoned with anything! Vegetables are not delicious! And where are the famous Baku tomatoes that were served to us in other restaurants in Baku?!!! At least ask your competitors where they buy products! Even the fries were fried in terrible, smelly oil! That even the color of the potatoes was disgusting! Well, the taste and smell are appropriate! "Pieces of veal tenderloin in a pomegranate"... Huh, you can barely chew them, and when even small bones began to come across, well, it's absolutely nowhere! The pomegranate sauce is delicious! The meat is disgusting!!! The only tolerable thing was the chicken kebab. PASSABLE! And not tasty! The musicians are sitting and sadly picking their nose, then on the phone between songs ... we were there at about 18:00 hours. We didn't see any locals there, unlike other restaurants. Only tourists! And by delegations. I think that's what it's all about! The guides take tourists who are surprised by the interior (national, colorful, interesting, but you need to wipe the dust better!!!), and the food probably seems delicious to them, because they are very hungry! It's fair to say that we would have eaten an elephant out of hunger at that moment too! BUT we didn't eat such terrible food! And to think that the admin was still arguing with us, picking at our plate with dolma, that everything was cooked properly here! That their potatoes are delicious! That there should be no bones! Not true!Although we didn't even invite him! And they weren't going to prove anything to him! We just asked for the bill, and we wanted to get out of there as soon as possible! And the waiter, puzzled why we didn't eat anything, to our answer that everything was not delicious, invited this "fighter for justice"! I'd rather apologize then! And he stepped into his world of social illusions! And we stood at the entrance for 7 minutes, we were not seated at the table. Like they were looking for a free one. Although while we were eating, only one third of the restaurant was occupied! We were about to leave! Which was exactly what had to be done! In general, you can only drink tea there! And see the interior! No more! Believe me!
Not far from the center, pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious (I can't tell by the cost, we were visiting). Live music, Russian songs were also sung! It left a pleasant impression.
It's a great place, after dinner we also had a tour of the entire restaurant. Each room is themed - a million details, everything is thought out, the interiors are unique. And what a serving of dishes! The advantage is a simple entertainment program.
The top restaurant - museum in Baku. The children especially liked the interior, there are a lot of separate rooms, the menu is large, mainly local traditional cuisine, quite tasty, the prices are somewhat overpriced, but it is justified. It was enough for me once and I recommend everyone to visit .
The most interesting interiors, a lot of valuable exhibits, you can touch, cleanliness and order, polite employees, delicious cuisine, hospitable and benevolent atmosphere, live folk music and songs. Thank you, everything was wonderful! Good luck in your work!
I celebrated the New Year in it, everything was very pleasant, artists and musicians performed. Delicious national food fast serving of dishes and drinks
We waited for the waiter for 15 minutes. No one came up. I had to go and call myself.
There was a stone in the salad. So if you value your teeth, it's best to avoid this place. When asked by the waiter if this was normal, he replied that the stone came from some ingredient. Thanks for not coming from the kidneys.
The dishes are mediocre, there is no taste.
I highly do not recommend the institution. 5 stars are very questionable.
