Perhaps a place that everyone should visit. I am happy to visit such museums myself and started taking children, because I agree with the quote:
"People who do not know their past have no future." M.V.Lomonosov
Attention! Before you go, check the opening hours.
Of course, the setting is not for the faint of heart, the guide is a wonderful girl, answers all questions, even stupid ones.
The museum itself is amazing, with many original exhibits. But there is absolutely no infrastructure in the form of cafes and other things. The road leaves much to be desired. I think that the Karaganda Akimat needs to pay attention to this hidden diamond, and attract attention and funding to this place as much as possible.
Yesterday, on August 4th, we visited the Dolinka village Museum of Memory of Victims of Political Repression, and were simply stunned by the amazing tour! Many thanks to the guide Yuri Gamov!During an hour and a half of the tour, we experienced so many indescribable emotions that these impressions will remain with us for the rest of our lives!I would like as many people as possible to visit this Museum and understand how and what people suffered by the will of fate who found themselves in this terrible place.
Excellent museum, very professionally decorated, good guides. The subject is scary - Karlag, but the presentation of the material is excellent, there were a lot of people. Foreigners come, there are tours in 3 languages.
It is a very atmospheric place, I recommend visiting it. The guide is a very competent and pleasant woman, she scooped up a lot of information. A ticket with a guide costs 2000 tenge, the only thing for a taxi there and back was 15 thousand, but it was worth it.
It's a masterpiece. Everything is realistic. After visiting the museum, there is anxiety in my soul, but at the same time gratitude for the world now. I participated in the museum night a couple of times. When living people were put in the place of sculptures, so to speak. It's like it's happening here and now. So scary, mesmerizing. I advise everyone who has not been to the museum yet to visit.
I liked everything very much. A good guide, a woman, competently told everything about the people who came to these places how hard it was for them to survive. The expositions are all natural. We were very impressed and learned a lot.I advise everyone to visit.
I really love this place , I've been there five times and I'll go again if possible . Each trip complements the history of this place. The guides are great. And in general , respect to the employees , so much work has been invested in the Museum .I am proud to bring guests from other countries, because the place has a great history that has changed the lives of many people.
The museum is so beautiful that it takes you back to the time of repression, as if you were really in a concentration camp. Everything is very realistic, the guide tells everything in detail, in detail.
The museum is a must-visit. One of a kind. It is a pity that it is not developing. It is necessary to increase the exposition, offer new sightseeing and educational programs, improve the quality of doll making, there is not enough shop with souvenirs, books, printed products.
Interesting, and at the same time creepy. Especially the basement. It shows in all its glory how and what happened in those days. It takes more for the soul of cots and toys. It's impossible to explain this to children now. I recommend you to visit.
It turned out to be a very useful tour. It's good that they remind us of the history of the country. Exhibits, old documents, and newspapers are clearly and widely presented. The music emphasizes the oppressive atmosphere.
A super historical place. The guides know the material perfectly well. The tour is exciting and deeply immersive at the time. I highly recommend you to visit!!!
The museum is a famous place for the entire Karaganda region. The visit is not expensive, the guides are competent, the lighting and music are suitable! I bring foreign guests here with pleasure!
You can get to 121 from the station, be sure to ask the driver for the exit stop, then you will need to catch a taxi. There are very nice people who will just take you, well, some can take 500-1000 tenge. The tour is conducted in 3 languages. The cost is 2000 tenge, well, there are some discounts there, you can find out at the checkout. The museum itself has 3 floors, including the basement. Each has its own vibe and a sea of impressions. BE SURE TO VISIT IF POSSIBLE
Good tour service, helpful staff. But the theme and exposition of the museum is not very simple, there is a reflection of pain and suffering all around, after visiting for a long time it was hard on my soul.
I'll say right away, if you didn't have to go there, it's very interesting, even very much I went with my mother, I'll say so now she wants to go there every day🤭
It's a very cool museum, some installations have been removed, but still the impression the museum also makes is very authentic and believable. As soon as you enter the museum, you get the feeling that you have fallen into the past and are in the NKVD, not in the museum
There is a lot of true information. It is presented both in paper and visual information. The prisoners' cells, their life, their way of life, their work for the benefit of the Motherland. It's scary from such a life..... But this is our story.
Many facts are distorted and politicized by anti-Russia. What the guide says often differs from the photos presented in the exhibitions. For a complete picture, the crematorium furnaces would also be installed.
A historical place. The place where the destinies of many people passed, some remained behind the walls of the KARLAG, the broken destinies of people. Leaves a residue on the soul
I visited this museum in June 2022. The museum's exposition amazed me, I learned a lot of new things during a tour of the museum.
I strongly advise you to visit this museum
Очень интересная экскурсия! Огромное спасибо экскурсоводу! Было все доступно и доходчиво рассказано про те страшные во всех отношениях времена!!! Спасибо...
A gorgeous museum. Kazakhstanis are doing well to preserve history, even if it is so cruel. I never would have thought that such a thing was possible. I definitely recommend visiting the museum to those who visit these parts.
Be sure to visit, take a guided tour. You can't understand a lot without a guide. The museum has many photographs and installations in memory of victims of political repression.
I really liked the museum!I haven't received such emotions for a long time!
Everything is so true that the blood runs cold in your veins!
Thanks to the creator of the museum!
