If you're serious, you can't do it any other way in a place like this. You can only be horrified by what human cruelty is capable of. And so is what human will, courage, and faith are capable of.
It is a very difficult experience to visit this place. But this global tragedy must be remembered. There is an audio guide with a story about each of the remaining buildings and with the memories of the survivors, including Russians.
I wasn't there. But my grandmother's brother was burned there at the age of 23 in August 1944. Fortunately for us who live today, he still has children!!! And we will not see the fascists... And we don't believe normal Germans, unfortunately....
