A great museum! It strongly reminds of the courage and dedication of people during the Second World War. Tusnolobova-Marchenko, This is a symbol of heroism!
Zina Tusnolobova is a native of Polotsk county. Later, the family moved to Siberia, probably fleeing from repression. During the war, she graduated from nursing courses, and went to the front. There, in 8 months, she carried 123 wounded from the battlefield. She was awarded two orders. In 1943, in the winter, during the rescue of the wounded, she was seriously wounded in the legs herself, she lay among the dead for a day. She frostbitten all the limbs, which were amputated. After the war, she received the title of Hero for her exploits. The International Committee of the Red Cross awarded her the Florence Nightingale Medal. After the war, she lived in Polotsk, was married to a front-line officer with whom they raised two children. There is a museum and a street named after her in Polotsk.

We haven't been to the museum...But, we paid attention to the bust...It is very pleasant, especially today, that people remember and honor the memory of WWII heroes. Nothing is forgotten and no one is forgotten!
