I, I emphasize, personally. This is my opinion. We were a family (4 people) in Minsk. My wife's uncle died near Mogilev. We took an excursion. It's all good. The girl spoke loudly and clearly about the stages of the Great Patriotic War. I just didn't feel that it was one country that withstood the pressure of "dedicated Europe" and was able to turn it around. I do not diminish the role of the Belarusian partisan and underground movement, but I did not feel unity. Maybe I took it that way, I don't know... As in a fairy tale, twigs are easy to break, a broom is difficult....
An amazing museum! There are a lot of exhibits that you "stick to". There is a lot of information on various areas of military operations both on the territory of the republic and throughout the former USSR. It is ideal to take an excursion to then slowly walk around the exposition again.
It's definitely worth going. An audio guide to help.an extensive informative, detailed tour. Goosebumps. What kind of human efforts were made by people .
The museum is amazing, modern, large, lots of dioramas, the children were happy to go through all the halls, asked a lot, read) thank you for such a great opportunity to get acquainted with our history
One of the best places in Minsk. A grandiose museum with the greatest history. It is obligatory for everyone, without exception, who loves and appreciates their Homeland and History. I definitely recommend studying it.
A lot of work has been done to collect and systematize the exhibits, which, by the way, are huge. Everything is accessible and very interesting. The museum also has a buffet, bathrooms, and a souvenir shop. On-site parking is available for visitors.
I am delighted with the museum ... Unfortunately, you can't do without tears here either ... the concentration camp rooms are vividly recreated, there are many photographs, models of equipment and tools . It is mandatory to visit. 100 percent.
A super-place with rich expositions, numerous models of military equipment, a mass of homemade guerrilla weapons and a majestic victory hall is a dream for a selfie lover
It's very atmospheric, to the point of goosebumps. The exposures are realistic. Emotionally, of course, it's hard. The museum is a must to visit, to understand the history. Calculate the time for at least 2 hours. We went without an excursion.
I visit museums in different cities.I recommend this place as a must-visit!Both adults and children will like it!It is interesting, informative, everything is very well organized on 4 floors.Friendly staff.Diaramas with sound accompaniment.
If you are in Minsk, do not hesitate to visit this museum, preferably take a ticket with a sightseeing tour. The museum is very cool. Wax figures of the highest quality, cool exposures. As well as the museum building itself has a unique architecture. It is impossible not to notice it.
The best museum!!!
The atmosphere in the museum is amazing, you experience different emotions, tears appear in your eyes somewhere. Every tourist, every resident is obliged to visit this museum!
All guests of the capital of Belarus definitely need to visit this place. It's hard to explain, but it's really a place of power-here you feel like you're part of history. The price for a free ticket is very affordable. Despite the fact that there are a lot of visitors, they do not interfere with each other. I found a lot of interesting historical facts for myself that I didn't know about. Must-visit
This is the best themed museum I've seen. It is required to visit. There are organized excursions, there are audio guides. Carefully, with great respect, the path (ascent, you will understand there) to Victory is shown. As of March 27, 2024, the ticket price is 11 Belarusian rubles. And it's worth it!
A good modern museum complex, almost in the center of Minsk, in a beautiful large park. It is very similar to the WWII Museum in Moscow on Poklonnaya Gora, but smaller, but more soulful, or something. There is a section dedicated to the cooperation between the USSR and Nazi Germany in 1939-1941. There are a lot of materials about the struggle of Belarusian partisans and underground fighters against the Nazis, about *** terror in occupied Belarus. I think it is wrong for a Russian person to visit Minsk and not visit this museum. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE!!!
It's a good museum. But in order for foreigners to feel comfortable, it is necessary to have a sufficient number of audio guides. They came twice at different times and twice there were no audio guides.
One of the best museums I have visited dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
Everything is clearly structured by dates. There are many exhibits. There are both original authentic ones and copies. Maps, flyers, posters, paintings.
I strongly recommend taking a guided tour.
Be sure to visit this museum. You won't regret it.
The best impressions remained. Some of the expositions are real, but there are also props. The exhibition is amazing. Emotions are running high, I recommend watching it. They also sell souvenirs there.
The very place that I recommend to visit in Minsk in the first place. An incredible museum, where not only military equipment and photographs are collected, but thematic installations have been created that vividly convey the atmosphere of the war years. A very interesting solution is the glass walls and the dome of the ceiling of the museum. This creates an atmosphere of connection between two times: wartime and our days.
I was in this museum for the first time, many recommended it, but I only got there now. Expectations correspond to reality. The museum is located on a hill, a beautiful and solemn monument to the great and terrible war. It consists of several floors, from the bottom from the beginning of the war, how it began, what they fought against.A huge number of samples of weapons, clothing and household items. I was very impressed by the paintings, my heart is shackled by fear at the sight of a person's cruelty to his own kind. The detention cells with inscriptions on the walls are also impressive. Real military equipment inside (tanks, cars, planes under the ceiling), looks very cool. On the top floor there is a hall of fame of heroes, the names of the dead, the names of combat units and of course the terrifying statistics of deaths, people who have made an immortal feat. I recommend everyone to visit this place, and once again remember the dead, and remind yourself that war is death, pain, tears and destruction, it should not be allowed.
The museum was very impressed!
A lot of equipment, personal belongings, recreated wartime expositions!
I advise you to take a ticket with an excursion.
A must-visit! An interesting, modern museum! Moreover, it is interesting for both adults and children! It is respected how carefully the memory of the Great Patriotic War is cherished in Belarus. Thanks!
I advise everyone to go to the museum. The scale and size of the museum are huge. Personally, he made a lasting impression on me. I advise you to choose a whole day to visit, we spent 4 hours on a visit, which turned out to be negligible.
I really liked both the 8-year-old child and all adults. I recommend it for any age. There are benefits (we are faced with the fact that Russian benefits are not considered in Belarus🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️💇♂️🤷♀️
The guests of Minsk must include visits to the museum in their program! What a job historians have done! After the tour, the essence of today's global political events is especially clear.
An excellent museum that conveys the pain and torment of the people of the last years of the Great Patriotic War. A lot of restorations, beautiful, clean, lots of space. The atmosphere is vividly conveyed through compositions, paintings, inscriptions on the walls, notes on sheets. I advise you to visit with your family in order to get acquainted with the history of the Great Patriotic War in Belarus.
The museum exceeded expectations. A huge number of military artifacts. I was also impressed by the wonderful reconstructions of various events of the war. Definitely worth a visit!!!
An interesting museum . There are many floors , many halls .There is a Victory Hall under the dome . In sunny weather, the whole hall is illuminated with light!
A must-visit... to remind and understand what happened. Expositions and immersion in the reality of that time, a feat of the people. Always with children.
There were goosebumps when we walked around the museum, realistic scenes of the Great Patriotic War will not leave anyone indifferent. There is a lot of interesting historical information, weapons, military equipment. It is especially painful when you pass through the stands of concentration camp prisoners, it was a terrible time. The museum is very interesting.
On this visit, we visited the Minsk Museum of the Great Patriotic War.. this is something that was MADE WITH LOVE. For posterity. A wonderful historical monument, it contains many exhibits, models, paintings, installations, television screens with information.
We walked for at least 4 hours with an audio guide. Of course, the uppermost hall is stunning in its grandeur..The words reach this place very well: NO ONE IS FORGOTTEN, NOTHING IS FORGOTTEN.
It is a very interesting museum, it is really interesting both from the architectural side and in terms of content. It was interesting and scary at the same time. I recommend you to visit
The place is iconic, filled with history. It is done in a modern way, it is interesting to walk with a guide and you can go yourself after the tour, explore what you want. An interesting fact: the flag of the USSR is on the spire of the surrender) the only one currently in operation. There is a separate hall dedicated to local wars, where Belarusian soldiers took part.
The modern museum is worthy of respect. A rich exposition.Interactive stands. It's a nice park. If you have time and interest in WWII, you will not regret it.
It's just an amazing place, I haven't seen such museums yet. It's so atmospheric, there are a lot of expositions, interactive scoreboards, you can even sit down to watch movies. I advise you to plan a visit for 4 hours, there is a lot you want to consider, there really is something to see, you don't want to leave. Very friendly staff, starting right from the entrance, cash register and wardrobe, no one is standing over the soul anywhere. I will definitely come again, while this place is in the top of what to see in Minsk
I really liked the museum. Three floors of halls with a huge number of exhibits. I was very impressed after visiting him. We were with our children (elementary school students), they also liked it very much, although they were tired after three hours. But probably this museum cannot be bypassed in less time. Thanks to those who keep our history and give the opportunity to show our history to children in such a place.
A magnificent museum. I recommend a visit. Our story. The story of the people thanks to whom we are living now, those who sacrificed their lives for ours. That's how you can't act, considering that there is someone above and someone below. With gratitude and eternal memory to our forefathers for our peaceful sky.
A great museum! Visited with my wife on 03.01.2025. The tickets are not expensive, the expositions are very beautiful, the stands and the description are informative!
A cool, very cool museum.
Realistic models of equipment, very beautifully recreated huts of partisans and their decoration during the war, a lot of exhibits, finds, personal belongings and other things. There are a large number of halls, you will not be able to run through the museum in 30 minutes, even if you do not stay for 3 hours. I strongly recommend going on a hike to learn the history of Minsk and Belarus in general during the time of this horror!
A fundamental museum with a detailed exposition. 10 halls from the prerequisites of war to victory.
It is better to take water with you, there is nowhere to buy it after entering the exhibition.
A great historical place where everything that could be collected is collected. It makes you think and think about gratitude to our great-grandfathers for the fact that we are on this earth and exist in general, without the fascist yoke!
I am very impressed! Large-scale, detailed, touching.... There are a lot of epithets, emotions cannot be conveyed. The guide is smart. I recommend visiting with children. In order not to forget the horrors of the war and its heroes, you need to go to such places. Thanks!
This place tugs at the soul and warms the hearts. We ordered an individual tour, which we were very happy about. The girl spoke very interestingly and intelligibly about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, about the exploits of Belarusians, about how quickly the huge Republic was destroyed at the very beginning of the war, and how every resident participated in the fight against the enemy. An excellent exposition of equipment and weapons is presented. A lump came to my throat and tears welled up in my eyes from how people were united by a single goal of peaceful life, how they defended their families, homes, land and Homeland, and how unfairly other countries are trying to trample on it now, to cloud our memory. This monument is our property. It is necessary to go there and lead the children so that they remember.
Beautiful, informative, effective!
In the beautiful City of Hero, a high-quality museum.
I advise everyone to visit!
Be sure to have a guide.
I will definitely come back again!
They were sent here from school, generally not bad, a lot of interesting equipment inside, a lot of different exhibits. There is something to see, if you thoroughly walk around the whole room, then it will take 2 hours. The coolest thing is the galagrams. The only thing is that I wouldn't take a tour here, it's better to go see it myself, it will be much more interesting, because the tour takes a certain time, and during this time it's difficult to have time to see everything you want.
Hello comrades, as a person who has visited many HERO Cities such as Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Smolensk, Brest, Rzhev and so on, I will tell you that visiting the museum is a must, here you will learn another piece of the history of those terrible and terrible years of this war, now, however, some countries want to distort the history of those years in every possible way, but we remember that and they will not succeed, because without the past there is no future, all is well and study history. Thank you.
