A fantastic collection!
The name can be misleading, it has some kind of religious overtones. In fact, it's not like that: this is a Museum of Art of Islamic Countries.
Geography is the whole world, there are even stands of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
Metal, ceramics, porcelain, majolica, tiles, glass, jewelry, weapons, jewelry, fabrics, clothing, carpets, wood carvings - just to name a few! And a very competent exposition - it is interesting to walk on it. There are several floors, each of which can be walked in circles: approaching the stand from the other side, you see "other" things.
A good gift shop, there are hand-made copies of the exhibits in miniature (but it's not cheap) and just original things.
We were in a similar museum in Sharjah, and we roughly understood how it would be arranged, but this one did not even exceed expectations: we saw something that we could not even imagine!
Photos do not convey the beauty and atmosphere of this place.
Even if you are not interested in Islamic culture, set aside at least 4 hours. We missed - we arrived 2.5 hours before closing time - we ran! And not everyone ran around. Art is always art, regardless of faith. And if this is your topic, set aside a day, it won't be boring. The museum has a pretentious restaurant with beautiful interiors - you won't starve. I can't say about the prices - we had no time.
