A very good museum. Convenient location. Excellent exposure. A large number of ancient icons. Interesting household items and decorations of the ancient inhabitants. A variety of weapons items. It was very interesting to see old books and religious objects. I highly recommend you to visit.
We didn't really share the enthusiasm expressed in the reviews. The price per visit is quite high (20 GEL/adult), the exhibits seem to be interesting too. But only one floor. It is enough for only 1 hour, even with the condition of a sufficiently attentive viewing. There is no Russian language, it is difficult to translate from English even with an average level because of the vocabulary. Often, to read the signs, you need to bend over or sit down. In addition to several types of weapons, arrowheads and crosses with icons, I wanted to learn more about the region itself: its history, about the Svan towers, people, and Revenge in the end, but there is nothing there. Just a set of different beautiful exhibits. I think that for this money there is too little and somehow presented
A beautiful modern building, the museum is small, the number of exhibits is small, there are no assistants such as an audio guide, annotations to the exhibits are only in Georgian and English, there is nothing in Russian. The price of the visit: adult - 20 lari, children - 10 lari. I respect local history museums, where they try to preserve and present their history to the guests, but if we touch on personal issues, I think that the 50 GEL that we gave for three is expensive, because it is higher than the price of a ticket to the Hermitage. I understand that the question is purely subjective, and the comparison is incorrect. Conclusion (subjective): the museum is good, but the price of visiting it does not meet expectations and results.
The museum is in a modern style. You don't have to take a guide, everything is clear. And in general, the locals of Svaneti will tell you a lot of stories. They are very friendly, hospitable people!!! I was happy to visit this part of the world. Thank you ❤

A small but very informative museum. And against the background of not numerous museums in Mestia, I advise you to visit.
Wonderful exhibits showing the way of life, culture, and traditions of the Svans.
The museum is one of the best museums in Europe.
Not bad, although there were few exhibits. In my opinion, there was a significant drawback of the exposition - the font of the inscriptions is very small. It is simply unacceptable!
A very cool museum! The exposition is small, but the architecture and design of the premises, exhibition halls, lighting are above all praise! It's definitely worth going and enjoying the great design.
The ticket costs 20 GEL, which is expensive for Georgia, but I did not regret it at all.

A very interesting museum, if you delve into the depths of Svan culture, and think about it, it's a brain explosion. The oldest Orthodox culture, there are few places in the world where you can see this with your own eyes.
One of the coolest ethnography museums I've been to. A modern building, the rarest unique exhibits collected in one place, showing the history of Svaneti and mountainous Georgia.
I really liked the museum. Wonderful guide, speaks excellent Russian. She answered many questions and interesting expositions of the museum. I recommend you to visit.
