Unfortunately, the excursion to Khatyn disappointed me very much. I'll start with a good one. Huge Parking, toilets, cafes, attentive and cute girls in the administration, the museum is elegantly decorated, the huge territory of the complex makes an impression, but that's it. You will not find the phone number and opening hours of the museum on the Internet, the complex is open from 10 to 17, Monday is a day off - a friend who was there a week earlier sent me. The administration said that there are no available guides, but we can join the bus. Since there were many of us who wanted to join, we were given a guide. That's the end of the positive emotions!!! A young man, his name was Peter, conducted a tour of the museum without arousing any feelings other than indignation at the distortion of historical facts! After leaving the museum, I had to explain to the child that the land in Belarus was liberated from fascists by 1, 2.3 Belarusian Front and 1 Baltic Front with the help of Belarusian partisans, and not Belarusians themselves, heroically liberated their land from fascist invaders. On the street, on the territory of the complex, another surprise was waiting, Belarusians, it turns out, have won their independence!!!! I did not receive it due to the collapse of the USSR in 1991, but they won it!!! Well, he was finally finished off by saying that he CURSES those who only see the numbers stamped on the wall!!!! Very professional!!! It is a pity that so many non-professional guides work in such a place, it would be wonderful if Peter was explained that the name of the front was given in the direction, and not by the nationality of the fighters, and it would also be good to tighten up the modern history. I hope you have better luck with the guide.
We visited this iconic place. But the organization of the tour is very weak. The tour guide girl told practically nothing, only turned on interactive screens. A separate story about the tour on the street. There are no ads anywhere that this is an additional service and you still have to pay extra for it. It was very strange. The tour guide said goodbye to us and no ads, and then we saw her on the street and asked how so? Only then did she explain something to us.
If you haven't been here yet, then it's definitely worth a visit. The territory of the memorial is huge. I have long dreamed of visiting this place, paying tribute to the memory of my ancestors. It's heartbreaking, I will definitely bring my family here. I recommend it for a visit.
Oh, a place of tears! Now the complex has been transformed, landscaping works are constantly underway, it is clear that the complex is of a national scale! A small church was built. There are a lot of excursions, including foreign ones! A landmark place in Belarus.
A place that every Belarusian should visit at least once. The museum is impressive. The guide spoke very soulfully about all the hardships and horrors of the war. A huge area. It is worth coming for 5-6 hours to visit all corners
It's impressive. Beautiful, well-groomed territory, you can walk for free, only the museum is paid. We walked through the territory of the former village, we were early in the morning, there were no visitors except us, buses began to arrive at 10 o'clock. Thank you for leaving such places, what happened during the war years cannot be forgotten and forgiven.
I recently visited this museum, it struck me with its modernity and design. The museum's expositions are made at a high level, and the decoration of the halls is admirable.
I would especially like to note that the museum is similar to the museum near the temple of the Russian Armed Forces in Kubinka. Both museums are distinguished by a modern approach to the design of exhibitions and the use of the latest technologies. This makes visiting museums an unforgettable experience.
I recommend everyone to visit this museum. It leaves an unforgettable impression, especially at the end.
It's not far to go from Minsk. It takes 25-30 minutes by car. The museum itself is somewhat off the highway, but the road is good.
There is order and cleanliness everywhere, I really liked it.
There are a lot of visitors, but it doesn't bother me somehow. We listened to the guide, then walked around the museum by ourselves.
An atmospheric place. Very strong impressions.
The renovated museum. I went with my family. It is very informative and interesting, especially for the younger generation. The price is acceptable. It is better to have a guide. The time for everything is 2 hours maximum. There are clean toilets. There is a place to eat and buy souvenirs. I recommend.
Thanks to the leadership of the state and the staff of the museum, the museum is an example of the memory of modern reverence for the ancestors who gave us life and memory of the Great Patriotic War. Very informative.
Very cool! Belarusians are great! When visiting Khatyn, be sure to take an excursion!!! You won't regret it! For children, this is generally a class in terms of patriotic education! And after the tour, walk around quietly and take pictures. A good and inexpensive souvenir shop.
A museum to visit and bring the children. The story is known. But it must be remembered. I recommend taking a guided tour. But! A lot depends on him. I've been there twice in two years. The first time, I was very lucky to have a guide. Goosebumps. The second one was probably an intern. I know and tell it better myself. Nevertheless, I recommend taking a guided tour. Go first through the territory with the story, then to the museum inside.
We were very lucky, Sofia gave us a tour of the museum, many thanks to her! The guide is from God, despite his youth. He passes through everything he talks about, has knowledge, and has great charisma. From the very first minutes, she touched my soul with her story, and I cried from beginning to end. A magnificent museum where everyone needs to visit. A heartbreaking memorial complex... Thank you for your work!
This is a very touching and significant place, where events were captured and immortalized for generations, emotions overwhelm.
I advise everyone who came to Belarus.
I visited Khatyn. Everything was as good as possible. A place of sorrow and probably where you need to be aware of the past and not make mistakes. It's hard to say when you see how villages, adults, and children were treated. I liked the expositions.
Very impressive. Several halls. When you get into one of them, it's like you become one of the residents who were burned. And then you find yourself in a well-lit hall, personifying a field with wheat as a symbol of life.
There is a souvenir shop and a coffee machine at the entrance.
It is a very emotionally strong place, first I advise you to visit the museum, there are excellent guides who will tell you a lot about the history of Khatyn, the history of the monument "Unconquered", about concentration camps on the territory of Belarus ... what you see there makes your chest ache…
From the first to the last minute, there is a lump in my throat...
an amazing place!! Everything seems simple, symbolic, but you look, read and understand the full scale of the tragedy, all the pain that permeates every piece of land, the age-old sorrow still in the air....Each stroke of the bells penetrates to the bones, as if from a terrible frost...It's impossible to forget! I highly recommend you to visit!
I was also impressed by the work of the staff of the complex, who put every centimeter in order almost manually, carefully and carefully!
My rating of 5 stars is clearly underestimated! It's a pity you can't put a higher one!
A gorgeous museum. I advise everyone to visit. Just walking through the museum without a guide is a waste of time. Our guide, Elizabeth, told us everything very interestingly. Everything in the museum is interactive. You plunge into those events, your skin crawls.
Khatyn - we went on an excursion. The museum does not lose its relevance to this day. Certainly not an entertaining place. We liked this open-air museum.
One of the best and most influential museums on the theme of WWII right now. The new museum space, opened in 2023, was pleasantly shocking - you can live the Khatyn tragedy in it on your own skin.
I advise you to visit.
A great museum! It can be seen that people who are experiencing this pain together with visitors were collecting and compiling a collection! The guides are real professionals with deep knowledge and are not indifferent!
This place is very impressive. It gives you goosebumps as you go by... how many people have endured. And the museum is a special mysterious place. Mystical and conveying the whole atmosphere of that terrible time. Everyone should definitely visit this place.
I've wanted to go there for a long time. They tell everything in great detail. If you are in Minsk, I advise you to go on an excursion. This is our story, a reminder of those terrible times.
The place is soaked in blood, the central monument makes you think about the horror that our people went through, the cemetery of the villages also makes you tremble, but those who were before the reconstruction most likely will not come in.
This place impressed me the most during our entire trip to Belarus, you can't even hear the birds there. Most of all, the sound of the bell, which is repeated every few minutes, gives you goosebumps... everyone should visit this place.
All people must visit this place. Thank you Belarus for the memory. Hatred of the fiends involved in this. Tears in my eyes from the signs with children's names. Eternal memory.
It's definitely worth a look, but it's better to join some kind of excursion or you'll have to read a lot. The exposition inside the building was not surprised by anything, it is not worth going.
What can you write here?.... This is just an unreal place of strength and spirit, I was there for the first time and in gloomy weather, I already had goosebumps and tears rolled down my face! Personally, I think that it is absolutely necessary for a person to visit such places, of course, special thanks to the Belarusian people and the president that everyone remembers and honors this!!!!!
The new museum is simply shaking. You sincerely feel that pain ... After my stories, all the relatives visited Khatyn. This is really a memory for all ages, so that the new generation would understand what our grandfathers went through....
It is impossible to talk about this place, you just need to feel everything yourself physically being there. And everyone is obliged to visit here! At least in order to understand that such a thing should never happen again! This is the cry of the soul and the pain of the heart of the entire Belarusian people.
A place of memory, difficult to find without tears. The territory is very well maintained. Be sure to visit with children. It is important to remember those who died at the hands of the Nazis. Peace and goodness to all.
There is no audio guide in the museum. Therefore, if you decide to visit the museum, book a guide. We wish some guides who conduct tours of the complex to speak louder. You have to listen, you can't hear a lot. Therefore, the impression is blurred.
Be sure to visit. At the same time, there is no need to hurry while being here. It is very impressive and makes you think. I'm not sure if I should join the tour, but I need to read something about this memorial before the trip.
A beautiful exposition, made with reverence and love, at the same time, filled with sorrow. I am pleased to pay tribute to the roots and tragic history.
A place that makes you think and honor the memory of the innocent victims. If you go, then you must take an excursion, otherwise you will not feel the atmosphere, the pain and the feat of the people. The girl guides conduct the story very sincerely, for which they are especially grateful
The museum is very wonderful. It's worth
visiting it. There are interesting exhibits, some of which are worth staying near and thinking about the value of human life.
This is the place where tears roll up before you go there. Unfortunately, we were without a tour for the second time, but even without it it is interesting, everything can be read. If you are from Russia, you need a Mir card or cash for payment.
The museum is quite small. 6 halls, few fragments. There are tablets with a history. It would probably be more informative with a guide, we walked by ourselves.
We were on an excursion with our family in June 2024. The tour impressed and touched a nerve. We drove all the way back in silence. You rethink life and you can't believe that there were such people on earth who committed the most terrible crimes against humanity. My heart freezes.
A very interesting and at the same time creepy historical place telling about all the horrors of fascism and the Second World War. Definitely worth a visit to everyone at least once in their life. It's impressive.
