A modern museum with very traditional but high-quality content. In addition to the author himself, his inspirers, friends and associates, and of course, relatives are richly represented here! The place is a must-visit. Tickets for weekends and holidays must be purchased exclusively in advance on the website.
Keifer's exhibition is striking in its scale and level of integration into Van Gogh's experiences.
How to be in Amsterdam and not visit the Van Gogh Museum? There are 2 floors of interesting diverse works by the Master. His work does not leave anyone indifferent, and the abundance of yellow paintings on the second floor makes my head spin)). It's great that there is an audio guide in Russian - it allows you to learn about the nuances of paintings and the artist's life.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance!
Nice museum, not far from the Rijksmuseum. It is better to buy tickets in advance on the Internet, there are few free slots during the season. It is better to leave things in an automatic storage room, they are allowed only with a small purse. The audio guide in Russian is poor. The souvenir shop is cool. There is also a separate souvenir shop in the building next door, on the way to the Rijksmuseum.
It is unthinkable to be in Amsterdam and not visit the museum of your favorite artist. There are so many paintings familiar from my youth. It's just a delight. It's great that the Van Gogh family presented the collection to their fellow countrymen!
It is a very atmospheric place, there is no point in saying that the works are admired. So about another thing: there was an expectation despite the fact that the tour was planned in advance. I keep a pen and pencil from here, and the relatives I went with use eyeglass frames and a scarf, so they have decent souvenirs
Tickets were taken online back in Barcelona. Thank the Internet. We arrived from the Ibis Hotel by bus. The bus was traveling in the city along the tram tracks. The queue is long. But time has passed. They undressed inside. We have purchased audio guides in Russian. And then they went to the halls. It is not appropriate to compare it with the Russian or the Tretyakov Gallery. The museum is not huge. But... The audio guide is very detailed... so the perception is very, very good. The audio guide is dead... I went and changed it and went on. I've seen all sorts of sunflowers. Take a ticket online. And go ahead. Very positive. If possible, read about Van Gogh and his work. I didn't really like the paintings in gray-brown. But the audio guide made me take a closer look at them.
I recommend it to all Van Gogh lovers and non-lovers. Just to see all the paintings firsthand is an emotion for a lifetime. I recommend buying a souvenir to remind you of this event.
We visited the museum in April 2019. We didn't know that tickets for this museum needed to be bought online. We came to the museum in advance, there was a small queue of naive people like me. The museum staff came up to us three times and explained that tickets needed to be purchased online. But when trying to purchase tickets online, it turned out that tickets for the May dates were available. Of course, I was very disappointed, because I came to Amsterdam to see Van Gogh's paintings. But a miracle happened! We managed to buy tickets for the visit in 2 days at the museum store on Ploshadi. It's good that we had a few days left. Of course, I had to wait more than an hour for the cash register to open (a separate window in the store building), it was quite cool outside, but it was worth it. Therefore, I strongly advise you to buy tickets in advance. The museum itself is modern, spacious, and has an audio guide. In the museum store, you can choose something to remember yourself by. No books, reproductions, or video tours can replace a visit to a real museum. I recommend it to all Van Gogh lovers.
Be sure to visit the museum.
It became a completely different perception after the visit. Van Gogh is great
An audio guide to help you

You have to see it with your own eyes. It was only after this museum that I realized that Van Gogh was really the greatest artist. Photos don't convey that. If you were in Amsterdam and did not visit this museum, you came in vain.

A very interesting museum! I had a pleasure to look at all the paintings there, there is an audio guide in Russian! Leave a few hours to visit the museum!
Be sure to go! Everything is fine: both the building and the staff. You can talk about the exhibitions for hours: the largest collection of Van Gogh's works, a large collection of paintings by artists who were his inspirations, teachers, and friends. And there is a secret: on Fridays after 7, there are parties with wine and live music at the museum. We accidentally got on it and were absolutely delighted.
A very interesting museum. It is better to buy tickets in the summer 10 days in advance. Everything is sold out in advance. Modern, comfortable building, comfortable environment. There are a lot of interesting things to see. Be sure to use the audio guide. Translated into almost all languages, including Russian. Arrive at the appointed time plus 30 minutes.
A nice pleasant cozy place. Several floors, a lot of free space, although there are a lot of people, but no one interferes with each other, everything is perfectly visible. There is a souvenir shop, a cafe, clean toilets, a wardrobe. The only thing that is required is that backpacks and bags be handed over to the wardrobe, they are not allowed to pass with them
The space is perfectly organized, the number of visitors is limited - no hustle, but tickets must be bought in advance. In popular times, much in advance. A good audio guide. I discovered Van Gogh's work - the paintings don't look like they do in the photo, it was interesting.
A wonderful museum! Easy navigation, there are audio guides in Russian. It's just a pity that the audio guide does not contain information about all the paintings. Inside the museum there is a Tambourine cafe and an excellent souvenir shop
A great museum. Besides the paintings, I really liked the audio guide. After getting acquainted with the information of the azdiogid, there was a desire to get acquainted with the artist's work in more detail.
I visited this wonderful museum 3 years ago. Currently, tickets are not available at the box office-only on the website - this must be taken into account. There is an opportunity to use the audio guide. And, of course, you need to be "on the material" when you visit such places. I'm going to visit again in April.
A pleasant museum about the life and development of Van Gogh's creative path, but it is better to buy tickets in advance and online, otherwise you will have to queue for a very long time on the street
This is the best museum I've been to, the price fully justifies it. The audio guide in Russian explains everything very well and it is very interesting to walk with him.
Paintings by Van Gogh and other artists. Three floors. There are many self-portraits. "Sunflowers", "Potato eaters". "The Bedroom in Arles", "The Yellow House" - it's all there!

A huge museum, buying tickets only online for a specific time. In addition to the paintings, arranged generally in chronological order, there are a couple of multimedia rooms with a play of light and sounds. There is an audio guide.
The place does not spoil the impression of van Gogh's work in any way. Except that the interface of the audio guide is rather clumsy. There is also a good dining room Le tambourin, lunch is just right.
A lot of people, the paintings are not the most famous. A lot of sketches (sketches) - the feeling that two floors are occupied by drawings when Van Gogh could not draw.
If you are far from painting, then there is no point in walking.
The only interesting thing is the installations on the 1st floor.
It is available for people with disabilities. The audio guide is available in Russian. There were a lot of people at noon on a weekday (but there were no groups of Chinese tourists)
the most interesting museum. excellent organization. take the audio guide for sure! you can buy an e-ticket online, but you can not be late for the specified time by more than 15 minutes

I really liked the museum, something new and interesting for me, since I am not familiar with Van Gogh's work
Legends, Legends, Legends... In this sense, Amsterdam is similar to Paris, although its real history is breathtaking. But this is a business and legends help to sell air
The light is dim, but the audio guides are very interesting to talk about life and creativity.
I don't see any point in visiting without audio guides.

An excellent modern museum. Anyone interested in Van Gogh will be delighted. The rest of you will just be interested. For a couple of hours at most. Tirelessly
Interesting. The paintings are exhibited according to the periods of the artist's life. There is a lot of information about the artist. There is a souvenir shop
