Very interesting, worth the money. In July 2024, visiting hours are from 8:30 to 22:00 (they let you in until 21:30), i.e. you can come in the evening when the heat subsides, but on the official website the schedule is until 18:00, most likely, the visiting hours were temporarily extended for the peak season. I walked in the morning, it was comfortable, there are air conditioners in the halls. The visit took almost 2 hours, and you can manage it faster.
23 euros admission (about 850 lira, an announcement at the checkout that only lira is accepted, but in fact I'm not sure), 350 lira audio guide (a deposit of 100 usd or id). The audio guide in Russian is voiced by AI - sometimes it sounds very strange. If you speak English well, you do not need an audio guide, there are descriptions in English everywhere.
There are many exhibits in the open air. Rooms with air conditioning. The most interesting thing is on the top floor. Climbing the stairs. It's hard in the heat. We were just before closing time. It took two hours to run. In summer they work until 22-00. The evening views are beautiful. 23 €. Children under 8 years old are free of charge. It was a pity there was no audio guide.
A very interesting place. Be sure to visit. A lot of new and interesting information. But all descriptions are in English. Not understanding the description of the exhibits, being there will not give pleasure. We got it )
A very interesting and beautiful place. We were there twice, it turned out to be informative. The ticket is quite expensive, but I think it's worth it. For the most part, the inspection takes place outside, so I would advise you to choose the time of the visit wisely in order to avoid the sun itself. To read all the explanations, you need to know English or Turkish. Or take an audio guide.
There are many interesting historical places in the vicinity of Bodrum and the museum is no exception. I advise you to visit. Very interesting. You can join the company and pay for a year on your hands.
A very competent reconstruction of a sunken ancient Greek ship and an impressive collection of objects in terms of quality and skillful presentation, which were taken from such ships sunk in those parts, and, apparently, a lot of them sank there.
The place is very cool! I advise you to visit, but it is better either early in the morning or after 16-17 pm if possible. The place is on a hill, there are stones, concrete, asphalt around, there is a stove in the afternoon, it can spoil your impressions if it is 35 degrees on this day
It was not an easy way)) there was a lot of heat and joy when hiding in museums under air conditioners .. white peacocks don't come often .. Sooo beautiful and strong (charged) places..
I am extremely happy that I was there.
You can join the group and listen to the smart stories of the guides)..
Good logistics, it is possible to take an audio guide everywhere there are information stands not only in Turkish, but also in English, there are interactive stands.
A very cool museum! There are many interesting expositions. I recommend taking an audio guide in your native language - in this case, you do not need to buy an additional ticket.
We visited the museum during our vacation in Bodrum last September. It is located right on the territory of the St. Peter's Castle. Petra, in the very center of the city. I really liked the exposition! I definitely recommend it to those who are not indifferent to history. And it is very interesting for school-age children, my son especially remembered the sarcophagus and the mummy of the Carian princess, and still sometimes remembers.
