It is a very interesting museum, especially considering that it is not even located in the regional city. Quite voluminous expositions, I really liked the small exhibitions of contemporary artists. In the painting hall there are works by Shishkin and Aivazovsky, many landscapes, there is a hall with stuffed animals. The museum itself is located on the riverbank, next to the River Station and pedestrian street.
I recommend you to visit
An excellent museum, many exhibits, paintings, antique utensils, souvenirs. There is a parking lot nearby, but it may be occupied. There is a terminal at the checkout .The staff is polite and helpful. The guide is very cool, young and very erudite! The tour is fun and interesting, it does not load dates, it hammers everything on the case. Clever girl!
We were on an excursion of the ship "Belaya Rus". The museum is of a very high level, there are many very interesting rarities from various periods of the centuries-old history of the Belarusian people. There is an art gallery, works by Shishkin, Aivazovsky, and Belarusian artists. The girl guides are great fellows. Thanks
The museum is large and very interesting. A huge number of exhibits from different eras, as well as an art gallery. Special thanks to Anastasia for such an informative tour, we were impressed.
I love Pinsk in general. Therefore, any museum, any landmark of this city is perceived by me only perfectly. The building itself, where the museum is located, is already a masterpiece of art that cannot be ignored. The staff is very polite and cultured.
An ordinary small-town museum. Not too big. Everything is a bit messy. Everything is very politicized. The guide talked for a very long time about the Second World War, focusing on the atrocities of the fascists, but for some reason she did not mention the Stalinist repressions, dekulakization and the restoration of Kalinovsky in 1863. I pretended like it never happened. In general, the history of the region was selectively covered.
The museum is located in a 17th-century building - the former Jesuit collegium. It is one of the oldest museums in Belarus. It was opened on July 1, 1926. I would like to express my gratitude to the museum staff, to everyone who created wonderful exhibitions, collected materials about various periods of the Belarusian Polesie. Paintings by famous artists, including the originals of Aivazovsky, Makovsky, Pan and others, are also widely presented here. I recommend you to visit - it is interesting and informative. p.s. Two remarks: 1. In the hall "Nature of Polesie", it is very difficult to read the explanatory information on the signs - the text actually merges with the background; 2. It is surprising that in a public institution it is impossible to pay for the service with a bank card - only cash is accepted.
The dilapidated exposition of the Soviet times. Noteworthy are: an exposition of ancient life with original furniture and dishes, an exposition of Russian paintings of the last century and the century before last (if only they had done normal lighting, without glare on the canvases), photographs of old Pinsk on a poster stand (in the corner of the corridor without light and normal access). The rest is about nothing. It doesn't catch on. The excursion through the basements is just creepy. Two rooms with pipes and cables. Nothing original - an analogue of the basement of an ordinary Khrushchev. Even the dirt on the walls was not removed. It's a shame to take money from tourists for this. Go to the 5th fort of the Brest Fortress and feel the difference. Disappointed.
In the museum you can see objects related to the history of Pinsk and Belarus, for example, various interior items, textbooks from the beginning of the XX century and, of course, a bicycle made of wood.
The building of the Jesuit collegium itself is a plus to the exposition, it is pleasant to be in it, you can feel the history (and in summer, in the heat, it is also pleasantly cool). An interesting story by the guide.
You can improve the condition of the interior decoration, it looks a little tired, as if from Soviet times.
I recommend you to visit to immerse yourself in the history of Polesie.
A great museum right in the city center. There are many halls with different exhibits:paintings, household items and stuffed animals. The ticket price for an adult is 4 rubles, but there is something to see and you can definitely wander for an hour :)
A very beautiful atmospheric building. The hall with the nature of polesie was very impressive, it smells of birch brooms 😊
Special thanks to the nice lady at the checkout, who suggested how to get on an excursion to Butrimovich's Palace
They accept cash only
The museum building is simply outstanding, the exposition is worthy! Special thanks to the guides. One thing was saddening-the apparent lack of decent funding. I would like the city authorities to show interest and turn this museum into a real pearl of Polesie.
The museum is definitely great. There are originals of Aivazovsky and Shishkin (if you are interested in painting). Departments: everyday life, history, nature in different periods of time (household items, weapons of wars, excavations). There is something to see. The main thing is to hire an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, so that she does not chatter according to the methodology and for an additional one. I could answer the questions. The price is 4 rubles per person. 15 rubles for the guide. October 2023.
A beautiful city with a wonderful museum! The guide tells us very interestingly! Even children of 5 years old participate with pleasure in the excursion. The museum is rich in exhibits.
The building itself is very impressive. The exposition is interesting, from samples of ancient homespun Pinchuk clothes, a wooden bicycle and a stone tomb to paintings by Repin, Aivazovsky, etc., etc.
There is also a hall for children with dinosaurs and other horror dolls.
I love this museum with all my heart, with an amazing centuries-old history and some unique exhibits!
But I really want some variety, except for the expositions that already exist and have existed for decades....
A huge number of equally interesting exhibits are in the storerooms. How long will they stay there? Maybe it's time to show them at some thematic exhibition instead of some regular uncomplicated shows for children and exhibitions with dinosaurs?
I'll bet two, for growth
The museum gradually tells about the history of Polesie, a lot of photographic documentation. On the ground floor there is an art gallery with works by Vasnetsov and Aivazovsky.Upon arrival in Pinsk, it is mandatory to visit.

One of the oldest museums in the Republic of Belarus. There are good historical expositions, a large number of exhibits, some of them are exclusive. It is possible to conduct quest games on the basis of existing expositions.
Located in the building of the Jesuit Collegium built in the 11th century, the vaulted corridors have been preserved, which is very atmospheric. The exposition is rich and reflects the history of the Belarusian Polesie and the city of Pinsk. There is an art gallery, which is an exception for a museum of this level. The guide is erudite, the material is presented in an accessible and interesting way.
I recommend visiting while in Pinsk.
Good afternoon, so to speak…
I got a male guide with glasses and bangs (for some reason there was no badge, which is very strange, how to contact him and ask something?), he kept saying that, nowadays, we are young, we sit on Instagram, tiktok, VKontakte, and before ... thank God that I didn't live at that time "before". All the time there are some sexist, mercantile and anti-feminist statements about girls (us), it's already disgusting. We were constantly running: we did not have time to finish viewing the nature of Pinshchyna, as we were already running to another viewing of paintings. He also praised the fact that everything was "cool" reconstructed for them, and the fact that it was cold indoors, we walked around in jackets, cracks on the walls and ceilings diverge, floors creak - sorry, we didn't mention this. There is nothing surprising in the tour, the cost is four rubles – God, I wouldn't pay a ruble. Like almost the whole of Pinsk, there is a scoop here. And I agree with many that it is sad and sad here, it smells damp everywhere. So far there are two stars, I would put one, but the artistic part of the tour is beautiful, and there is something to see. I do not recommend it.
An excellent museum with a wonderful exposition. While in Pinsk, it is necessary to find time and visit. The museum building itself is a historical monument.
I recommend definitely going when visiting Pinsk: there are a lot of interesting things, there are unique exhibits (a tractor "captain", a wooden bicycle, a stone sarcophagus, etc.), inexpensive tickets and beautiful magnets. Simple and sincere!
A very interesting museum, we went with the children, liked the exhibits of the USSR from my childhood. There is a hall with animals, paintings, household appliances, furniture, clothes.
An interesting museum, a large area, interesting exhibits. The building itself is historical from the 16th century. There is also an art gallery and a flora and fauna hall. In general, it is definitely worth a visit.
The wooden bike shook. The museum is quite large and interesting, the exposition covers both ancient times and modern history. An interesting selection of materials on the history of the First World War and the Polish period.
It's interesting, but the air is stagnant and not fresh - you just want to leave some halls as soon as possible. Some employees look at you as if you are enemies of the people. You can easily get lost, and the exhibitions are unevenly distributed
It is necessary to visit this museum and take an excursion, you will not understand it yourself and it will not be so interesting. The guide tells a very cool story. The prices are symbolic for admission and for souvenirs.
My name is Zhenya, thank you very much.I even remember how the family came in . I liked it very much.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 . I really liked it, thank you very much. And with all my heart.
Worthy of a visit. A diverse and interesting exposition. It is located in the ancient building of the Jesuit Collegium. It's a pity there are no tours of the building itself.
It is not possible to purchase tickets with a bank card. This proposal has been repeatedly indicated in the magazine of the museum's proposals. However, the management is not doing anything. As a result, not all foreign visitors can see the museum's exposition.
I was in Pinsk for the first time, I had to pass the time, passing by I saw a very beautiful building, it turned out to be a museum, for a symbolic price of 4 rubles you can visit all the expositions. In general, just a little bit, I really liked the nature hall, all the exhibits are in good condition, not all museums can boast of this. I really liked the urban style hall, it's a pity you can't take a picture in a huge antique mirror)) in general, I definitely recommend you to visit. The price is symbolic, and a good impression is guaranteed. You can go through everything in 30-40 minutes.
the exposition lasts for 3-4 hours, but for those interested, you can stick for a day.
employees are willing to talk about the museum, show what is interesting.
thank you!
Цікавая, але крыху дэфармаваная выстава - перыяду пры СССР выдаткавана столькі ж плошчы, што і астатнім перыядам. Пра новую гісторыю - увогуле нічога не убачыў, але можа кепска шукаў?

One of the best museums in Belarus! And certainly the best museum in Polesie! Excellent guides, lots of rarities. And Aivazovsky's painting is definitely the last thing you expect to see!
