A very nice and interesting museum in Polotsk! It is located in one of the most beautiful places in Polotsk, next to other ancient sites and museums, next to an authentic street. The staff is friendly, will tell you and respond to your answers, there are many magnets in the showcase. The museum is clean, warm and bright, and there is a bathroom. The halls with exhibits are located on two floors. There are a lot of books , on the off-site you will find information about the cost of tickets , rates of excursions and photo sessions . I definitely recommend visiting this Polotsk museum!!!! Thanks to all the employees
A wonderful museum! Very detailed guided tours, telling about the stages of development of the printing business. Interesting exhibits, especially liked the room with real machines and stencils. I highly recommend visiting the library, which is an extremely authentic and photogenic place.
a wonderful museum! a huge, detailed exposition, I really liked the library of S. Polotsky. There are a lot of antique maps and interactive exhibits. I really liked everything!
I definitely recommend visiting the museum of book printing to every resident of Polotsk, as well as guests of the city!!!
You will be able to get acquainted with the history of book printing, prominent figures, see interesting book publications with your own eyes ...
And, of course, take a guide! You will hear a lot of interesting information!
You won't regret it!
A good place, here you can look at old and modern books. The way they were printed. And the courtyard has a cafeteria and a playground with a great view of the Dvina River. I've always liked it there.🙂😁👹
An interesting museum with a large exposition.
When visiting, we took a sightseeing tour. "Plus" is the compilation of a general impression of the exhibition by a living person. The "minus" is a sightseeing tour, it takes place only in broad strokes on the exposition. Everything is at a fast pace, and if you are interested in something, you have to "go to the second round" for a more thorough consideration. If you want to take a leisurely walk around the museum and listen to the excursion at your own pace, I recommend using the audio guide or the Easy Travel phone app.
Thank you to the tour guide and the museum staff for their work.
It's a very atmospheric place. There are a lot of old books. Pleasant, responsive employees. We really liked it, even for a 10-year-old child. He especially liked the exposition, which shows how books were made: vises and so on.
The museum is good. However, the guide was a little disappointed. We ran through all the rooms as a group, as if someone was chasing us. Although we went to the museum half an hour earlier and had plenty of time. Everything was very fast, they didn't give you the opportunity to ask questions, and the tour material was a bit boring.
We really liked the museum. The tour is interesting, the guide is a nice, pleasant girl, she told everything in detail, answered all questions. The interior is very authentic, I especially liked the library. If we are still in Polotsk, we will definitely return to this museum.
A very good museum: I recommend you to visit. Entrance tickets are inexpensive. It is better (it is more interesting) to take a guided tour. You can also explore the museum yourself: there is information in each room. The museum has a decent souvenir shop.
A great museum. Great tour. An excellent guide. The museum is unusual in its subject matter for Belarus. A lot of exhibits, a good story. I recommend

The museum has quite a lot of exhibits, both originals and copies. There are 16 halls in total. I would like to thank the tour guide Nikita Sokolov for the professionally conducted tour. Very deep knowledge of history in general. A lot of interesting historical facts are given, and comprehensive answers to all questions have been received.
A very large museum! It is best if the time is from an hour or an hour and a half, take an audio guide with it it will be much more interesting to wander there. And the library itself is certainly a delight! Definitely ready to visit this place.
A wonderful museum. People who are not immersed in the topic should take a guided tour. Wonderful systematization. M.B. I wanted more originals, but even the copies are made at the highest level. Top 2 museums in Polotsk in my opinion.
It's very much a museum. There is a lot of interesting information about books, their manufacture, and the history of books on the territory of modern Belarus.
Interesting. I learned a lot of new things. The children were almost indifferent, but it's more like age. I hope there is some kind of activity and dialogue on the "children's" excursions, otherwise the work is zero.
Interesting, but rather monotonous. I would like to see the machines in action, do something myself. Not the most friendly museum keepers.

During a visit to the Simeon Polotsky Museum-Library, May 03, 2025,
Due to the arbitrariness of the Cashier, who unreasonably refused to visit with a baby carriage .
There were no grounds for refusal. According to the rules of visits posted on the official website, there are no prohibitions on the placement of small children accompanied by adults.
A wheelchair is not a sports vehicle. And persons with children under the age of three are physically disabled persons for whom barrier-free environment conditions are created and provided in the Republic of Belarus.
Moreover, according to the Law on Consumer Protection and the Civil Code, it is prohibited to refuse a consumer to conclude a retail sale agreement. An organization may not give preference to one person over another.
We had to split up, and unfortunately, having come from far away, one adult family member with a child never got into your museum. I didn't want to get into a controversy with the cashier, who had already ruined the mood and the impression of the museum with her boorish behavior.
A very informative tour! A huge number of exhibits, from drawings on stone, to the present day. You can explore it yourself, take an audio guide, and preferably with a guide. The museum provides this service for an additional fee.
The place is interesting, we stayed there for about an hour. The most interesting thing was to listen to the tour in Belarusian. I recommend it, in general everything is clear, even if you do not have knowledge of Belarusian. Thanks to the guide!
I strongly advise everyone to visit this museum. In my opinion, the printing museum is one of the main attractions of the city of Polotsk, along with St. Sophia Cathedral. The atmosphere, exhibits, guides, excursions are all at the highest level.
An excellent museum, a very interesting exposition, near the center, within walking distance. A general exhibition, a family ticket of 10.5 rubles or 310 rubles for four people.
Here you can learn about the people who stood at the origins of printing in our region, look at old books, understand how they were made. The expositions cover the period up to the present.
There are many exhibits, 15 halls. There is something to see. But 90% of success depends on the skill of the guide. It is interesting to present the material. We got an expert in our field. But his story was monotonous and overloaded with details. The tour took too long.
The best museum in the city, I advise everyone to visit it. It will be informative, it will be interesting for both adults and children, it's better to come with the whole family!
There are 2 exhibitions in the museum. The Museum of Printing and the Library of Simeon Polotsky. We used to walk on our own. For the last time, we used the services of a guide with a group of friends. We were with the children and asked for a tour in an abbreviated form. The tour was conducted in the Belarusian language, the children were constantly addressed, asked them questions, they themselves were happy to come up with what to ask and received answers to all their questions.
A very high-quality museum about the history of printing. You can also call it a small town (it's really not very big), but where else will you see, or better yet, hear about the history of book printing technology, tools, materials, etc. We came to Polotsk for: the house of Peter the Great, the Cathedral and the Museum of printing, but I give the highest rating only to the museum, that's why it's a museum to keep the maximum bar!
An interesting exposition, it's a pity that there are many copies (many originals were taken to Europe). A beautiful large historical bible wall adjoins it. You can take some beautiful photos. We took a tour for 20p. and chipped in with several families (it turned out to be 5p each).
The library is simply gorgeous, the interior is amazing. There should be more such libraries in Belarus.

A serious museum, as long as you walk around the first floor, there is already enough information. But there is also a second floor, and also with books. Very informative.
It's worth a visit. In the age of digital technologies and gadgets, it is pleasant to plunge into the world of books and typography, history and identity.I recommend
An interesting museum. Satisfied. However, for some reason I would like the library of Simeon Polotsky to be added to the general exposition. To pay a little more once and visit.
It is a very informative museum, it takes a lot of time, interesting printing presses, bookshelters, book samples. Francis Scorpina's books, alas, are only copies, but it's still interesting. I was caring for a child of 7 years old, she was also interested. There is an interactive book of the Bible with pictures, illustrations by artists of the Soviet period are also worthy. On the second floor there is an information kiosk explaining printing processes. Admission is 5 rubles.
To visit the homeland of Belarusian book printing and not come here would definitely be an omission. On weekdays and in low season, you can easily take an excursion, it costs 20 BEL. rub. There is no great point in visiting here without her. An interesting tour, rare exhibits. You will learn a lot of interesting things))
