One of my favorite museums in Tbilisi.I visited it for the second time (I was there 8 years ago). The museum is very spacious, informative, with a beautiful courtyard where you can see a large-scale sculpture by Zurab Tsereteli. The museum's exposition is very thoughtful-here you can see both the master's paintings (as it seemed to me, here is the most extensive collection of his paintings from the early periods of his work, which are rarely seen in such numbers anywhere) and his sculpture. On the ground floor there is a wonderful gift shop where you can buy albums and books dedicated to the artist. For those who want to see the "early" Tsereteli, I definitely recommend watching it!
We got great pleasure from visiting the exhibition, which impresses with its size and works. The location of the museum in a good area makes it convenient to visit. On the first floor we saw an interesting installation by an American artist, on the second - the works of Z. Tsereteli, and on the third - photographs from the artist's personal archive.
There are many works by Zurab Tsereteli in the museum, not as many as in his Moscow museum, but still. Actually, there is a small amount of modern art on the ground floor. In general, it's worth going. Admission is 20 GEL per person.
