I live in this neighborhood. I recommend the place for guests of the capital. Near the National Library, DanaMol, Green, the largest church in the Republic of Belarus. It's nice to walk along the canals. In the evening it is very beautiful near the library.
Beautiful houses of panel, but unusual construction: decorated with mosaics with smalt for the price of the houses themselves, and hanging gardens were planned at the 14th floor level for residents to relax. An original architectural solution, especially in the 70s, recognized by many experts. And the avenue is well decorated - one of the business cards of the city (the gate in the East).
They have been decorating houses on Independence Avenue for so many years that they have become one of the business cards of the city of Minsk. Beautiful!
We rented an apartment in this place... interesting murals on houses, unusual...beautiful view from the Windows, opposite the national library, lots of shops...
A good example of Soviet monumental art - the mosaics are perfectly preserved and are liked by visitors, the locals do not even notice - a decor element familiar from childhood :)
Very worthy panels. Come watch while they're still alive.
The last restoration with painted cement mortar has already fallen
off, the "Native" smalt is also falling off... Hurry up. A worthy monument to the past.
The remarkable nature of Minsk. A very beautiful panel. It is a pity that there are few of them...Near the Vostok metro station and the National Library. There is also a shopping center nearby.
This is the history and feature of Belarusian culture. It is necessary to preserve such monuments of art. The panel once added bright colors among the gray Soviet new buildings.
The great Kischenko! Thanks to Him and everyone who helped and promoted... for the courage and these magnificent and our favorite panels. Now it is difficult to imagine our beloved city without this knowledge and panels!
Unique panels with an interesting history. And the houses themselves, too. When creating panels, life-size cardboard templates were made according to sketches, they were cut into fragments, and mosaic pieces were prepared according to them. And then all this was transferred to the facades of buildings. And there were real hanging gardens on the roofs of these houses. Alas, there is nothing left of them now.
A beautiful view of the houses and the panels opens from the observation deck of the National Library of Belarus.
I live in the house next door. When I was there, these houses were built and panels were laid out. They have been pleasing to the eye for 40 years. I remember how these buildings were shown on the weather news every time.
Unique mosaics. It is a great success that the architects managed to coordinate this decision when designing the neighborhood. They form the appearance of the area from the side of the avenue
