The greatest thing that our people have is kindness, absolute.
This is a monument to Shaakhmed Shamakhmudov, who is revered by the whole of Uzbekistan. During the Great Patriotic War, he and his wife adopted and raised 15 (!) Soviet children of various nationalities, becoming truly their own mom and dad. The Shamakhmudovs had no children of their own. Shaakhmed, a blacksmith of the Kalinin Tashkent artel, was much older than his wife Bahri.
There are some advantages, there are no disadvantages, an excellent palace built in Soviet times. The still popular concert hall and the historical square with a monument reminiscent of the last years of the Second World War, shows the hospitality and brotherhood of the Uzbek people during the Patriotic War.
The monument is dedicated to a family that sheltered children of different nationalities at home during the evacuation....
We can safely call this monument a visiting card of Tashkent (not the only one), Uzbekistan, the Uzbek people. It is very joyful that it has been preserved, as well as the entire complex, including the square, the Peoples' Friendship Palace!
The Monument of Friendship of Peoples is the place where you can see everywhere, take pictures and touch it with your hands. There are seats nearby for people to sit and admire the air. There is a Peoples' Friendship Palace behind the monument. However, I don't see any disadvantages there. I recommend you to visit this place
When this statue was moved to the racetrack, it was very unpleasant. But when they returned to the place of relief it was 😅the friendship of peoples consists of this statue
That's the only way there are no pros and cons here, but it's better for the residents of Tashkent, thanks to the creators from the bottom of my heart, the USSR is the best moment))
We have long dreamed of visiting this monument! And finally a dream came true! We came to him with the whole family. And everyone said, "That's right! "
A monument for posterity to remember that there was a terrible war, that all the peoples of the former USSR made their contribution to victory.

Part of history, culture, very well combined with the modern environment. Of course, it would be better without the "pitaka" sharing of electric scooters. As for me, it looks terrible and generally uncomfortable, just spoils the place

The monument is a vivid example reflecting the history of the struggle of a multinational people against fascism on the example of a family that adopted children from the frontline territories of the Soviet Union.
We have not been to Tashkent for 30 years. Everything has become unrecognizable, beautiful, elegant, many new high-rise buildings, people are friendly. We are pleasantly surprised and happy for Uzbekistan.
The monument to the Shomakhmudov family is well-known in Uzbekistan. This family took in and adopted 15 children who lost their parents and were evacuated to Tashkent during the war. At one time, he was removed from his place, but with the arrival of the new president, they came to their senses and put him back. Accordingly, this monument symbolizes the friendship of peoples. But for me, this monument is a monument to real heroes who, in difficult times, did not give up other people's children, not only gave shelter and food, but loved and raised as their own.
