An unpretentious, rather ascetic (complete absence of interiors), Czech beer hall at the brewery. Unlike the central tourist restaurants in the manner of a "passageway yard" where they do not particularly monitor the quality of food, everything is delicious here. Yes, beer is more expensive than in the city, but a) this is a monastery with its own "aura", and b) this is a really delicious beer (craft), mostly ale - light, dark, different densities and degrees. Every visit to the city is a tradition - to eat a good Tatar and go to the Strahov brewery!
We were here in 2014, just when I proposed to my future wife).
Judging by the latest photos (goulash with potatoes), beer reviews !!!!!!!!In ten years!!!!! the level and service have not dropped, and this is a huge plus. My wife always remembers a mug of dark beer for dinner))))
This brasserie is located near the Strahov Monastery and is famous for its delicious beer. Therefore, after visiting the monastery, we came here. The place is a tourist destination and we had to wait about 20 minutes outside to wait our turn and get inside. So we had a beer outside first. We were sitting on the second floor. The interior is ordinary, with reproductions of old beer posters. They were served quickly enough. We took soup, goulash, everything turned out to be very tasty. But the most important thing here is a great beer. Definitely worth a visit.
The most delicious beer in Prague. You can take beer with you in beautiful bottles, which we did. The food is very tasty. Compared to prices in Moscow cafes (not even restaurants) the prices are lower there. The three of us sat down with a good dinner and at least a good amount of beer for 3.5 thousand rubles. The only disadvantage is that it is difficult to find a free seat at peak times, you have to wait for the tables to be vacated, and they do not work until late. We liked them so much that I will not take off the star in any case for this. Next time in Prague, we will definitely run there right away.
Great beer
IPA is probably the best in the city
The kitchen is average in quality
The disadvantages include high beer prices (70 kronor for 0.4) and difficulty with places in the season
A big plus is the location
I drank a beer and then went down through Prague Castle to the Charles Bridge in a great mood

Like all food establishments in the Czech Republic, they were excellent, delicious, rested after a long walk and visiting the monastery attractions, washed down the abundance of impressions with a wonderful branded beer!
A very nice and warm place.
The workload is complete, but the service is on top.
The dishes are cooked tasty and simple.
And beer is simply divine.
Thank you for a good time.
I recommend you to visit.
I was on my way to drink the much-vaunted beer. The beer is good, but not something particularly outstanding. The food is very tasty. The service is zero - waiters confuse orders and there is a lot of fuss in general.Although this is not critical, but even fun (when they bring you a beer, you drink it, and then the waiter comes running, wordlessly takes the beer (drunk), puts it at another table, and puts a fresh one for you. :) We had to change back ourselves :)
I regret to note the decline in the level of the institution. I was here a few years ago, the cuisine and beer were simply divine. Now there is a large flow of tourists, queues, and the kitchen has lost a little. The beer is delicious, goulash is no longer served in bread (everything is focused on high throughput.
The beer is brewed great, but the price tag and the crowds of tourists. In general, it's good to go in purely for a couple of mugs, but there are other less touristic places.

Excellent beer, 3 varieties - all the time, and several seasonal ones. The food is delicious, the portions are huge. They served us quickly and politely. I recommend you to visit.
Be careful when paying with a card, today instead of 145 crowns, 1545 were written off, the impudent waitress did not even apologize, and the manager Vaclav said what was wrong with that, she just pressed an extra digit))))
