A place that you want to return to more and more often. I'm not an artist, but I couldn't help but draw St. Nicholas as a souvenir.Panteleimon Monastery and the road to Xenophon. I want to return in 2025, God willing.

We were in the monastery for five days. They went to day and night services, worked as laborers in their free time. The monks provided a Mercedes all-terrain vehicle for a tour of all the monasteries of Mount Athos and the capital of the monastic state of Kareya. The cells in the monastery are simple, but clean, the Windows overlook the Aegean Sea. There are no temptations, there are no televisions at all, electricity is supplied for a couple of hours a day, the rest of the time by candlelight. We ate together with the monks at a common table, everything is lean, but tasty and satisfying, even wine and very tasty olives are served. The monks are friendly and friendly. I highly recommend it for relaxation of body and soul.

I was there back in 2012. The warmest memories. For Russians, the easiest way was to arrange the dismantling of the Panteleimon Monastery. I spent the night and you can travel to other monasteries. The meal was the simplest, but satisfying.

What a blessing. Where exactly are they serving in the name of the Lord!!! Every Orthodox should definitely visit here! Don't forget to confess and take communion. I highly recommend it.

And what can you write about the shrine?
I bow to the brethren and the wonderful abbot that the monastery accepts up to 200 pilgrims daily for free (put them all to bed and feed them 2 times a day), and on holidays up to 400 people!
To get real spiritual benefit, you need to go there as a worker and for at least a week so that the way of thinking can stop / calm down in order to soak up the atmosphere of the monastery and Mount Athos.
Here in the world we pray, ask God, but we do not notice the dialogue and His answers. This monastery and Mount Athos itself are the ideal place for Worship. This is where you really get a personal experience of being God. Your prayers are answered quickly and noticeably, and often much better than you asked for and could have dreamed of.
