I was there once with my family. It is located in the Trodos mountains in the vicinity of Paphos. The road there is heavy, winding, serpentine, mountains. Beautiful area. The monastery is painted inside. There are many icons, and you can add relics to them. I bought myself an icon of the Kikka Mother of God there. It helps in many ways, especially for the seriously ill. The atmosphere feels salty. You can submit notes in Russian. We were told that there is a priest who knows him, so we can

Hello everybody! There are always a lot of excursions on vacation, including interesting visits to Orthodox churches and monasteries, Kiksky is located in the mountains of Cyprus, beautiful mountain landscapes, changing landscape!!! The monastery itself impresses with its scale and tranquility, very sacred places.... If you pray for something there, everything will be fine and everything will be as you ask...
There is no antiquity here, but there is an incredibly beautiful wall decoration with paintings, crystal mountain air. There is a museum with very old icons and all kinds of church utensils. If you find yourself here, be sure, since you have already arrived here, drive literally three minutes from the monastery up to the grave of Makarii, it is unreal in all respects - the landscape, the height, the money that someone spent on this whole beauty there. (We won't point fingers).
I was there in October 2018, rented a car, a Toyota Passo baby, left Paralimni early in the morning, when you drive through the mountains, the air is amazing, the strong smell of thuja, pine needles, very beautiful, the monastery itself is also beautiful, I bought an icon of St. Nicholas there, a monk from Ukraine painted there, I really liked it there, I recommend
It's a very atmospheric place, I definitely recommend everyone to visit, it's better to leave early in the morning to arrive before the crowds of tourists.
Anyone who has been here at least once will definitely want to come back.
I am impressed by the place and the beauty. This is something incredible!
I recommend everything!
A monastery founded in the 11th century. It is located in the Troodos mountains, the road to it goes along a steep serpentine. I liked this place: architecture, artistic masterpieces, bell ringing. You feel calm in it, leaving everything unnecessary at the foot of the mountains.
The monastery is located in the mountains.a wonderful place, a unique atmosphere, definitely worth a visit.Nearby, a few kilometers away on the top there is a temple and a monument to Makarius - an amazingly beautiful and impressive place.
The sacred Royal and Stavropol Monastery of the Kykkos Mother of God (Kykkos Monastery) is the richest, most famous and "tourist" monastery in Cyprus. The current male Stavropol monastery. It is located in the Troodos mountains at an altitude of 1140 meters. It was founded at the end of the XI century by the Byzantine Emperor Alexios II Komnenos.
There is a monastery near the town of Paphos in the Trodos mountains. There is a unique icon of the Kik Mother of God. There are many relics of saints. A place of the most powerful spiritual power.
We arrived just before closing, so we managed to walk around the almost empty monastery. It's beautiful here, but you definitely need a guide/audio guide.
An amazing place. There are capes at the entrance, if you suddenly arrived in the wrong clothes for visiting the temple. There is a church shop.
The place is very beautiful, very peaceful.
One of the must-visit places in Cyprus. The history of the icon, the room of relics and the nature around. Everything is fine. A small museum and a jewelry store. You can drive a rented car, but considering that the navigator in the mountains is unstable, you need to carefully look at the signs so as not to get lost.
A very salty, bright place where the icon of Our Lady of Kik is located, so strong energy comes from it that it is covered with a cloth, if you put your palm, you can feel it. One of the holiest places in the world!
Every year we go to this monastery, located in the Troodos mountains near Paphos. The road is a bit difficult for those who do not tolerate the road itself - you need to climb up and the road is quite winding. The monastery is simple, no one forces you to buy anything, you can wander around and see. There are different rooms inside the monastery - with particles of saints (you can attach), the main hall itself with images of saints (you can also attach and leave notes) and just internal passages where everyone is allowed to walk. It always fascinates me that you can sit on benches and just sit among these salted icons, and not just stand and watch. Near the main entrance, outside, there are tents with fast food, water and everything you need, I will not say that it is very expensive. Yes, by the way, lavrushka also grows there, so we always bring a little, is that a tradition?)

I was not very interested, because there is little space, but a lot of Russian speakers, the icon is covered with a towel, which is very strange, they say that the ruler did it (I don't remember which one), so as not to disturb the Mother of God once again, I recommend going up the mountain and going to the grave of a famous person, and the monastery, that's interesting there.
It has been several years since visiting the Kykkos Monastery, but the sensations of the dizzying road in the Troodos mountains are still unforgettable.. like a butterfly, a huge tourist bus "fluttered along the serpentine mountain roads.. and this is thanks to the skill of the driver.. everything in the monastery is modest, free movement, there is an opportunity to relax in the shade.. The mountains at this height are covered with pine trees, creating a sharp contrast with the scorched lowland at the foot of the mountains..
Guys, we were on an excursion to the monastery. And we bought a small icon of the Mother of God of Kikka as a souvenir. They said it was silver and cost accordingly. After a while, I decided to clean it, like homemade silver. And she's all peeled off. It turned out to be metal and foil. Horror, so much for the holy monastery. Mashenniki.
A place of power! Beautifully clean, quiet and cozy)) it is convenient to get there by car, there is a large parking lot. Perfect for a photo shoot

A must-visit. A place of power. The icon, painted by St. Luke himself from the face of the Virgin, is obligatory for the worship of the Orthodox. Protects for years, gives strength and health!
The road is long and beautiful. I recommend a trip. I was impressed by the huge number of holy relics. Don't forget your closed clothes. You don't need a hat. There are free toilets on the territory of the monastery. It is more interesting to come either with a guide or with an audio guide. There are many souvenir shops. I bought sacred Kikk wine and Commandaria (I took a two-year-old one and it's not a truly aged commandaria, but it's very tasty), icons, sweets. Advice to tourists- try to take everything in one shop inside the monastery, because then you can arrange Tax-free. And you will definitely spend decently) The views are beautiful. There is something to photograph. There is no holy spring here. But you can ask to consecrate the water.
The current male Stavropol monastery, one of the richest and most famous monasteries in Cyprus. Many pilgrims seek to get here. The monastery is located in the Troodos Mountains, at an altitude of more than 1200 meters. Today, only 15 monks live in Kikkos, who keep the sacred relic - the icon of the Virgin is covered with a special silver salary. According to legend, no mortal can see her face, and the icon itself has miraculous properties. We have been there three times, I highly recommend you to visit, a unique, fertile place!
Very beautiful! We were driving a car, got a little lost and got on a mountain road, up a mountain river. The landscape is like in the cartoon "Beauty and the Beast": a wild forest, impassable places, a road made of stone blocks, an ancient and wild, frightening thicket of a mountain forest with overhanging trees. A tire was punctured, I had to put a spare tire. But we got to the monastery! A path with obstacles and adventures. But it's worth it! The place is unique, very beautiful and the monks are very kind and friendly. It's a pity I didn't have a chance to walk longer, it started to rain and the fog began to descend. We didn't take any chances and left before dark. The place is unusual and unique in beauty and energy, it is worth visiting.
An incomparable place. In this monastery, for the first time in my life, I experienced a feeling of complete disconnection from reality:I didn't want anything, I wanted to stay in this place forever, it was grace, It was good and blissful, and then, .on the advice of a Greek from Limassol, we went to Kakopetria for delicious trout.Much later, I learned that there is a grave of Archbishop Makarios nearby, For those who grew up listening to the Soviet news about the struggle in Cyprus with the Turks from NATO -this is a holy man.I didn't know-I didn't bow, I'm sincerely sorry.
Great experience! You need to go along the mountain serpentine. It seems to me the highest place in Cyprus! Spectacular view. High-quality silver products. Delicious wine. The guides conduct excursions well. I am very glad that I went to this excellent place and I strongly advise you all to go there! Thanks!
I am far from a pious person. But... The energy in the monastery church is unreal! I was surprised at myself and my reaction to what I saw. In addition, the monastery is located in a very beautiful place and is magnificent in itself, with an ancient and interesting history. I'm absolutely thrilled!
I really liked it. We drove on our own. You can take a guided tour on site. A shop with icons on the territory next to the entrance to the temple pleased with the assortment. It is better not to visit shops near the parking lot. The prices are one and a half times higher for everything.
Having been on a tour of this monastery, I was pleasantly surprised. The road runs between picturesque mountains.good atmosphere.fresh mountain air and amazing views of the mountains. the monastery is renovated.without it, everything sparkles with gold and icons and the altar.there are many souvenir shops and cafes where you can eat delicious food and admire the view of mountains of extraordinary beauty.if you are in Cyprus, be sure to visit this place.
