A stunningly beautiful place! A mountain road of amazing beauty leads to the monastery. I want to stop at every kilometer and look at everything around me. There is an atmosphere of peace in the monastery itself. A hundred-year-old oak tree grows nearby, which was burned down by lightning, but life appeared in it again - a small sprout. And nearby, in a cafe, they sell very tasty gata and serve fragrant tea.

A beautiful and ancient place.
It is best to go when everything is surrounded by greenery.
Perhaps the most delicious Armenian sweet, gata, is prepared next to the monastery. It is prepared with different fillings. Be sure to try it.
Also, there is a honey farm nearby where you can buy honey in honeycombs, in jars, honey wine and honey ice cream.

We were in early May of the 23rd year. It's very beautiful all around, everything is green.
The monastery itself leaves a magnificent aftertaste.
A place of incredible power (like all the churches and monasteries in Armenia that I visited). After visiting, you come out in a special exalted state.
Delicious ghats (tortillas with filling). If you're going to be here, be sure to try it.

It's an amazing place and a great view! The atmosphere inside is very fascinating, you come out as if you were born again. An oak tree that was struck by lightning must make a wish. I recommend you will not regret it, even if you had to drive very far!

It's a beautiful place. The ancient monastery of the 12th-13th century. The road to it is picturesque, reminiscent of the island of Rhodes in the mountains. It takes about 2 hours to drive from Yerevan. Parking is small.

It is beautiful, historical, atmospheric. The mountains are fantastic! I imagine the beauty of this place in autumn. The mountains will be covered with colorful spots. I was without a tour, which I regretted. I would have learned more. But just a walk here is a complete immersion in the ancient history of Armenia.

A beautiful quiet place (at least in December). It's sparsely populated. You can walk around. There is even a hotel. Apparently, a cafe is open during the tourist season.
There is a toilet from the category - thank you for existing. There is even a box marked "100" at the entrance to the restroom. It probably means 100 drams.
It's worth coming back. Hiking trails to the mountains start from this point

The history of this monastery is quite interesting. By and large, this is a new building, since the old monastery was destroyed.
