There is a statue of the Big Buddha on Pratamnak Hill, which Thais call Luang Phor Yhai, and tourists call Big Buddha in the English manner. Initially, the huge statue, 15 meters high and 10 meters wide, was white in color, but later it was painted with gold paint.
Nowadays, religious Thais come here to pray and lay flowers, and tourists ask the Buddha to grant a wish, purify karma, visit souvenir shops and explore the surroundings from the observation deck. To establish a belief in the fulfillment of a wish, to receive the blessing of a monk, to make an offering to his Buddha, to throw a coin in his stomach, and so on. The territory is beautiful, the statues are being tinted, but it's worth going down the steps of the mountain of garbage made of red fanta, dry wreaths and wish fulfillment notes. The second level is where the prayer rooms are very dirty, there is a chain of sacred bonsos, go around in a circle clockwise.
The beauty is indescribable! Of course, the greatest interest was in the Buddha for wish fulfillment with a hole in his stomach. It is very interesting and exciting to throw coins into his stomach for the fulfillment of desires. Apparently, it's even more interesting to visit there with an excursion, but I myself admired the statues and the beautiful view of the city in my mode
The territory is not well maintained. In the park, before reaching the stairs to the golden Buddha, it is very dirty, there are a lot of wasps' nests under the roofs of the chapels. Be careful, don't get too close! The Buddha statue itself looks quite unpleasant, as the gilded plaster has peeled off in places.
The location is quite convenient, close to the center. It offers a great view of Jomtien. As in any temple, you can make an offering or just attend a prayer. Literally a 15-minute walk away is the most spectacular Pataisk observation deck))
A very spiritual place. It's a bit hard to climb on foot, but it's worth it (buses and mopeds also run). A gorgeous observation deck. A place of power, fulfillment of desires, cleansing of karma. Most importantly, for women, closed shoulders and abdomen, as well as the presence of a skirt (if not, you can take it for free at the entrance), for men - you can wear shorts, most importantly not with a bare torso.
When visiting the Big Buddha, it is necessary to observe appropriate clothing, closed shoulders and knees. You can visit early in the morning while there are no excursions, though after walking a long winding road among beautiful trees, plants and statues
The fairy tale is a lie, but there is a hint in it -
"A gorgeous observation deck.
A place of power, fulfillment of desires, cleansing of karma."
According to Freud, those born in the USSR can recall our Vladimir Vladimirovich by the way:
"I clean myself under Lenin in order to sail further into the revolution"!
An iconic place for Pattaya. And a must-visit for tourists. It is very interesting and informative. Don't forget to tie a string around your wrist. This is done by a monk at the bottom left on the way to the Buddha. There is also an opportunity to replenish karma - buy something, set fire to it or release birds from the cage. I recommend it!
It's an interesting place, admission is free, we've been a little bit blurred, but we've figured out the rituals on the sly. Very beautiful. The monk tied a string, I really hope that everything will come true. Spirituality is not enough for us in life. A coin was thrown into the fat man's belly.

An interesting place to visit, if anyone likes to look at the temple and the Buddha statues, we were brought on a sightseeing tour, stayed there for about an hour, took pictures, looked, in general there was nothing else to do, then we got there on our own.
A place to check, it is quite possible to visit, spending half an hour. Everything is for tourists - if you want to touch it, pay, if you want to absolve your sins, pay, no problem!)) I recommend lifting it in the evening before sunset, the photo turns out great.
Excellent) prices in Chonburi are completely different from Pattaya

Not a big monastery, spontaneous in the thickets, the Buddha is not visible from the embankment. There is a drum that needs to be ironed and from a certain amount of touching, the drum begins to repair, it is very interesting. There is also a tradition to make a wish and get into the navel of a statue.
