How many awards does an unknown writer, poet and politician have: Hero of Socialist Labor, 2 Orders of Lenin, 3 Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of Friendship of Peoples. He is the National poet of Abkhazia. Recognized in a small Abkhazia, but unfortunately little known throughout the former USSR. And a monument to him, large and powerful, stands in one of the most visited places on the embankment, in a beautiful park named after him next to the presidential residence. Did I miss something by not reading his works?
