On October 18, the Mitsis Petit Hotel closed for the winter and everyone was transferred to the Mitsis Grand Hotel. We were surprised by this turn of events, but we were not disappointed at all.
The same pleasant atmosphere, smiles and joy!
But in order:
The rooms are large, beautiful, in Greek style. The only drawback is that the carpet is rather shabby and dirty, unfortunately, they did not give out slippers, bathrobes were hanging in the closet. There are excellent shampoos and gels in the bathroom, and the next day the friendly maid also brought body lotion. I bought the same one in a bigger bottle at the store across the street. The view from the room was not very good, because No. 111 is located above the restaurant, right in front of the nose, you can say, a pipe, during breakfast, lunch and dinner there were smells of a campfire, with strong ones. But the air conditioner worked fine, so we didn't feel any inconvenience because of the smell. Unfortunately, you won't get enough sleep in the morning - at 7 o'clock the tables were already being moved, there was a rumble, knocks from the same restaurant. Those who were placed above were lucky.
All the disadvantages were covered by the smiles of the staff, great evenings of live music and amazing cuisine!
The food in the hotel is something! There is everything here - pizza, ice cream, delicious pancakes, which I loved back in the Mitsis Lagoon in Crete, Mexican, Italian, Asian, Greek cuisine, you can have a snack with both pita and hamburger (although they were not taken), drink and drink in two bars.
The hotel has a SPA, an indoor pool and a decent gym, but did not use it. There are 2 outdoor pools, but we love to swim in the sea.
In general, I am very happy, because comfort, impressions and delicious food are important to me during my vacation.
Among the advantages: excellent location, everything is within walking distance, friendly staff.
Of the cons: in the season, the hotel frankly cannot cope with full occupancy. And I still prefer Asian and Caribbean hotels, with large territories and a completely different approach to service. Here, who likes what, I'm sure there are a large number of fans of European hotels, who will have no complaints about this representative of theirs. But for me personally, this is a classic assessment of "satisfactory", that's right to the point.
