Just got back from the Mistral Bay Hotel
Positive:friendly staff, (Adonis, Stella) great location, everything is within walking distance, (Amoudi beach 5 minutes walk-sun beds + umbrella 14 euros for two, free without sun beds, beach sand ) towels were changed every day, also room cleaning, WiFi is free.
There is a pebble beach right next to the hotel, the water is crystal clear. The sunbeds on the beach belong to the neighboring hotel. There are car rentals everywhere nearby. Kritikos Supermarket is a 3-minute walk away.
Minuses:I didn't like the food, we ate mostly in taverns as a result. The refrigerator in the room is empty, there is no kettle, I had to buy my own kettle to drink tea in the room.
Bathroom amenities:shower gel, shampoo were not in the room. The safe is paid for 2 weeks - 40 euros), but we did not take the safe, knowing decent Greeks. Upon arrival at the hotel, an additional tax is paid, as in the whole of Greece - 42 euros for 2 weeks of stay. We took a room with a sea view, near the construction site of a neighboring hotel, but we didn't care, because we were practically not in the room.
And since Crete is a paradise, the rest was great.
We were in this hotel before the renovation. It is the tallest building in the city. The hotel fully corresponds to its European three stars. The staff is friendly. The assortment in the cafe is small, but the food is delicious. I especially liked the Greek cheese pie. We looked at the new photos and were very glad that the bar and the recreation area on the roof had been restored. It's very cool there, especially in the evening.
Positive: 1. I arrived at the hotel when dinner had already passed an hour ago, and some food was offered. 2. There is a Russian-speaking employee at the reception. 3. The food is quite tasty. 4. Internet in the room.
Minuses: 1. Room cleaning is not very good. During the 2 weeks of stay, the towels were changed once. 2. Categorical refusal to leave the room an hour later. 3. Breakfast starts late. 4. Strange hot water supply. 5. The small capacity of the elevators. Of the 2, one did not work for several days. 6. There is a very poor supply of soap and soap accessories - shower gel and lump soap. 7. The safe is paid. 8. There are no accessories for drying clothes
We were in Mistral Bay in September 2022, with my husband, the hotel is urban, located on the waterfront, the Windows overlook the Cretan Sea, every morning we watched a gorgeous sunrise over the sea, the food is monotonous, and the hotel and the room itself, and especially the city of Agios Nikolaos, we really liked, there are pebble and sandy beaches, everything is within walking distance Accessibility

It is located in one of the best areas in Crete. We took a room with a sea view. The view is amazing and the water is clear everywhere. The hotel is cozy, very kind, hospitable and sociable staff, by the way, speaking Russian. The rooms are comfortable, not large, as in all of Europe, but there is everything you need. The food is good, not Turkey 5 stars, but the food is quite delicious and there is a choice. I recommend it!
The hotel is located in the city center, the rooms are cozy, the food is very tasty - it's from the good. Upon arrival, we were checked into a room with a view of the city where cars were constantly driving and honking, it was also indicated that everything was included, but in fact it turned out that everything was included from 11 to 22 o'clock, and then everything was paid, the hotel also lacked staff and when the restaurant opened, the bars closed for 2 hours, which it is very uncomfortable for vacationers. At an early check-out, lunch boxes were not prepared for us and we were left without food for almost a day (the flight was with a transfer) WiFi is paid throughout the hotel.
We rested at the Mistral Bay Hotel in October 2019. We are travelers with forty years of experience, we have been to many places and seen many things. The hotel is very pleasant, wonderful staff: from the owner to the maids. It's all very nice. Special thanks to the nice ladies at the reception: they will advise, prompt, explain.... Well, just hotel guides. The food is no frills, but everything is very tasty. We drank white wine, it was delicious. There is also beer, brandy, red wine, ouzo. No one restricts anyone. Fruits are plentiful and plentiful. There are four types of ice cream. In general, the food is in order. And the most important thing is the location of the hotel: three minutes to the lake, near a pebble beach, a little further - sandy. Everything is very nice, friendly, cool!!
Those who like to relax on a grand scale will not do. Everything is small, just like everywhere else in Greece. From narrow streets to narrow corridors. There's a better hotel nearby. In my opinion, our Pegasus was building. It's fun there. But then again, you don't come on vacation to sit in a hotel. The food is so-so, like almost everywhere where everything is included. Drinks wine beer is better not to drink. The quality sucks. You can go down to the store and buy twenty fix for a ruble, for example. In short, I'll put a four in the middle.
Vacationed with my wife in June 2018.We arrived early and waited for check-in until 14 o'clock. This is a normal practice. But the owner is very unfriendly and rude, he did not even give me a drink of water from the cooler. And in the restaurant, he constantly made sure that they did not take anything to eat with them.He wouldn't let us in with a beach bag.And what kind of "all inclusive" is this if you pay money at 22-00!???
In general, the impression is twofold: the hotel itself, the location and the city are super! And the attitude in the hotel on the part of the owner...
Great location of the hotel! Beautiful view from the window!the food is standard, without frills!sooooo little seafood! in general, the hotel is a confident three )
Four, but only rolls for 3, food is scarce, but you won't starve, there are no pickers, the choice is small, they cook normally, white and red wine with beer for free. They were occupied for a long time, the air conditioners are working.
I love Agios Nikolaos. I was at this hotel 3 and 4 years ago. I left a review on Top hotels. The hotel was not bad, but the staff was rude. Turned away once and for all. Slightly more expensive than Hermes. But it's worth it.
