In 1973, as a 1st-year student at TSMI, I was lucky enough to participate for a month in agricultural work to preserve grain grown by virgin grain growers.
This is the first time I've seen mountains of grain. Our goal was to prevent the grain from "burning." We were constantly shifting grain from one plot to another. Loaded into wagons. I had to learn how to work with machinery (KSHP, now I see such things when clearing roads of snow). We worked in 2 shifts: day-night.
I would like to highlight the excellent organization of the reception of seconded students, workers, and military personnel.
We lived in the village of Bisbidaik. Everyone was placed in houses specially built for these purposes. The caretaker provided beds and bedding for everyone.
Three quality meals a day in the dining room.
The water was imported, and the delivery was regular.
I've only tasted delicious melons here.
Sincerely, Iskhakova Denmark.
