Somehow it "didn't go down." When bringing a pet to an appointment, everyone is kind of sad, indifferent. If you don't ask the question yourself, they won't say anything. And this has happened more than once. In an emergency, after a head injury, they told me to wait until morning because the shift ends in 15 minutes. Sadness in one word.
