A cozy place in the heart of the old town. The pleasant atmosphere of oriental hospitality, delicious and plentiful breakfasts were provided by the hospitable host Farukh. We occupied a small room where the shower stall hinted to us that we needed to lose weight) a comfortable mattress, daily room cleaning, a cooler in the lobby, everything corresponds to the cost of the hotel. If you need a local SIM with the Internet, Farukh can also help you. I recommend it to active travelers who appreciate the Istanbul flavor and warm welcome.
Great location. Near the entrance to Gulhane Park and Topkapi Palace, the Cisterns are a minute walk away and Hagia Sophia with the Blue Mosque is a 5-minute walk away, the metro is 5 minutes away, the tram is nearby!
For those who come to take a walk in Istanbul, it's perfect!!!
The rooms are clean, you can see that they haven't been renovated for a long time, but everything is fine, it's warm, there are no problems with water, they clean every day. The breakfast is good!
Faruk, will always help and advise)
I'm stopping for the 2nd time, everything is perfect
A good mini-hotel opposite Gulhane Park and Topkapi Sultan's Palace. There are breakfasts. There is a tram stop nearby, a cafe with inexpensive, delicious food, near the sights of Sultanahmet, shops.Quiet, calm, safe, good host, ancestors came from Abkhazia. The rooms are small, there is a refrigerator, shower, iron, kettle. There is unlimited tea downstairs in the lobby, hot and cold water in the cooler.I recommend.
Nice hotel, comfortable to stay in the rooms. Farukh, the receptionist, met us and didn't even take the payment right away. He told me where it would be better to go and take a walk . Their breakfasts are very tasty 👌
The hotel and the room are of course so-so
Breakfasts too
The farms are hospitable
But the advantages are all within walking distance of transport and the sea
Recommend
A good hotel ( the room is not large, but cozy) towels were changed, soap, shampoo is available, except for the tooth.pastes. Cleanly. Wi-Fi catches well both in the room and on the street next to the hotel, if you want to sit in the evening with a cup of tea. The breakfasts are compact.
The main advantage of the hotel is its location. It can also be called cozy.
The owner is friendly, the staff is polite.
The photos at the hotel are beautiful and convey the real picture of the room, but they do not convey reality.
Everything is sooo tired, old, sad. The furniture is crooked and creaky, the refrigerator barely works / there is an unpleasant smell inside, the cups for tea are different and dirty, the hood falls off in the toilet, the shelves fall out of the walls (in the remaining holes there are not dowels but paper with different screws), the mattress on one side with protruding springs, it is not possible to sleep, on the other half it is tolerable, some outlets are not working, the air conditioner is yellow (it was white once). All this is not very bad, but in combination it causes rejection.
The sound insulation is terrible, you can just replace these interior doors with normal entrance doors and it will get much better.
Another of the advantages is that there is no strong dirt, clean linen, breakfast is normal for its price.
In general, the hotel is not bad for its price, you get a large enough room for the center of Istanbul, but its general condition is too much for a very picky tourist.
Terrible service, I advise you not to draw conclusions about the hotel from the 8.0 rating in the booking. We booked a room in advance, upon arrival we were given a room where the plaster on the ceiling was falling off, everything was very old, someone's hair was lying on the bed linen. Only after our desire to move, the owner offered another room, but we refused, because initially they just wanted to deceive us, hoping that we let's agree to live with a hole in the ceiling for $55 per day.
The worst hotel in my life. Memories for a lifetime!
1. Disgusting host. He does not speak Russian (it is stated otherwise on the booking). He is not a Turk, so you will not see a Turkish service here.
2. The hotel itself is initially very frail. You can hear all the sounds of the neighbors, as if they are in your room. Cracks under the doors.
3. The dead man's number. Mold, dirt, *** holes in the toilet, dirty walls. Bent kettle, broken and dirty cupboards, etc. The room itself is sooo cramped, although they took comfort.
4. Later it turned out that all the rooms were killed. Somehow the owner agreed to change the room. It turned out that they were all so dirty - someone else's hair on the floor and *** in the bathroom (and this is after cleaning). Some rooms stink from the sewers.
5. There is no breakfast. Some cold snacks from the store and medium lousy coffee.
6. I don't know how it is now, but when we rested in March 2021, there was a construction site right under the windows, which began early in the morning.
7. Proximity to the tram. It's very loud 24/7, the windows don't help, they're frail.
To be honest, there are not enough words to describe the beauty of such a "service". They fled in horror after 1 night, during which they could not close their eyes because of the noise. They didn't even dare to go into the shower.
Then there was a long showdown with the owner through booking. He refused to return the money himself. They paid him for this one great night.
If you want to experience an unforgettable experience, go here
We rested from April 14 to April 19 and returned 4 days later from Cappadocia again here until April 26. The location is gorgeous. Across the street from Gulhane Park. The breakfasts are small, yes, but my husband and I had enough before lunch. There is an inexpensive transfer to the airport. The owner of the hotel is pleasant, always on site, helped us in many ways. Speaks English well. There is also a Russian-speaking woman who cleans every other day and prepares breakfast. Pleasant too! We liked everything!
We took a room with a terrace. The room is nice, warm, there is hot water. It is good to sit on the terrace in warm weather, the garden and the Bosphorus are visible, we were not lucky with the weather. There is a kitchenette, but there is not a single appliance for cooking. The room has a refrigerator, kettle and mugs.
I do not recommend taking breakfast, because it is no good. The pandemic may have affected, because this hotel was recommended by friends and the breakfasts here were great. Now this plate is with a piece of cheese, a cupcake, cookies, soft cheese, olives and sweet jam. That's it! Additionally, they offer cereals with milk, tea, coffee. It is difficult to call it hearty and varied.
The hotel is very well located. Within walking distance of all the sights, near the grand bazaar, supermarket, cafe with good ratings, quiet and peaceful
Everything is fine except the bathroom. In my memory, it rarely happens that the bathroom in hotels corresponds to the 5th star.
In my room, the shower head was clogged and the water flow was poor, the sink was partially clogged and constantly filled with water. There was no hair dryer, although there was an installation for a hair dryer.
The Wi-fi was catching well. Soda in the refrigerator is not expensive, I can attribute it to the advantages. The bed is clean and unbroken. The window to the top did not open, only wide open. I was pleased with the breakfast, there is not much choice, but it is there, even for vegans. I was pleased with the natural coffee. In general, I recommend this hotel.
December 2019 Room on the 4th floor with a terrace (pictured is a view from the terrace to Hagia Sophia). Everything is super: clean, warm, hot shower, quiet, soft bed and sofa.
Zarina, thank you for the delicious breakfasts and the warm welcome! Farookh from the reception is also a big hello!
From the hotel, you can walk to any attraction, even the Galata Bridge is not far away.
A great hotel for the price.
Among the advantages: small, friendly staff, the rooms are cozy, cleaning every day, there is heating and it works so that you can dry the whole room. The heating is regulated. We lived in a room with 2 windows. The shower room is spacious.
Of the minuses: the breakfasts are dense, but not very diverse. The view from the window is just on the street and the neighboring building.
