An atmospheric neighborhood with old two-story houses in the city center. A great place for walks and photo shoots. There are cafes where you can relax and change the fast rhythm of a modern city to the lingering vibe of frozen time in the second half of the last century.
My favorite neighborhood❤
I have been living here since childhood with my parents and already with my family. This is some kind of oasis of life, with quiet streets, courtyards, and a contingent of living people. Come here even for a walk! Near the square of the Opera House, near Victory Square, Nemiga, Trinity suburb, Zybitskaya, Strozhevchskaya Street, which offers a wonderful view of Stella and the Sports Palace.
I love our Osmolovka. Beautiful at any time of the year. My beloved grandmother and my beloved grandfather lived here. I was born here and my happy childhood passed here. My kids grew up here
One of the best neighborhoods in Minsk!
In the very center of the city there are 40 two-storey houses among old trees, as if you live in a park. At the same time, there are five more city parks and a river embankment in the neighborhood. Squirrels, woodpeckers and cunning crows live in the parks. They say that the quarter is named after the architect Osmolov, but the local old-timers are infuriated by this name, because it is only part of the Storozhovka historical district. The bourgeoisie wanted to demolish this area several times for ugly modern high-rise buildings, but the locals defended their rights and it seems that in 2020 the area received the status of historical value.
Our neighborhood has never been called that. This is a modern interpretation. And for many residents of our district, this name is not close in spirit.
And the place itself is wonderful, very cozy and native.
A very, very atmospheric place in the old town. I strongly recommend taking a walk here for an hour or two, slowly and thoughtfully, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of quiet antiquity in the middle of a bustling city. Get your camera ready, go into all the courtyards and corners - there are many interesting and amazing things.
A cozy quarter of the old post-war Minsk. Two-storey buildings, green courtyards, simple architecture, but the eye of a modern citizen living in residential areas on the outskirts rests on it.
A piece of history in the city. The atmosphere of the old post-war city has been preserved. While the activists have defended this place, I really want to believe that it will not be touched in the future.
