The repairs are endless , the outlets are minimal , the halls are crowded, there is nothing to breathe ! The scoreboard periodically does not work correctly. Flights are always delayed and everything seems to be fine! Of all the 3 times that I've been here, all 3 were delayed (in sunny weather ), the last one by 2.5 hours , which is why I was late for the next flight, who will refund the money for the ticket?!

In the arrival area, you can get a local SIM card and take a taxi, but I called Yandex, it's cheaper, but payment is only in cash. There is an exchanger, but the exchange rate is unfavorable in rubles. The ATM in the arrival area does not accept the World, and in the departure area, if you go to the left and walk 100 meters there are two ATMs, the right one works with the world. I was filming with Tinkoff, I received it without commission in person. On the way back, I did not have time to spend 700,000 soums, I wanted to hand it over to the exchanger, but he has a break from 19 to 20a. I have a flight at 21.00...There was little time, but it turned out that ATMs change rubles, soums and dollars without a card, but soums for dollars are multiples of 100 bucks. We had to play a quest: I withdrew another 400,000 from Tinkoff WORLD, it turned out 1,100,000 soums, chose a currency exchange at the left ATM, stuck them in and got 100 bucks. Bingo!

Such a great country and such a bad airport:
1) the VIP lounge is unclear how to get into it. The VIP entrance just leads to a regular airport.
2) lighters are taken away from some internal rules when passing control. None of the hundreds of airports that I have visited has such a thing.
3) inside the business room is disgusting. For some reason, there are no standard business lounge programs
4) there are very bad cafes outside the business hall. Dry and tasteless food.

I compare this airport in October 2023 and 2012. The difference is huge. Upon arrival, the entire passenger flow from the Boeing 787 is now distributed at passport control by 10-12 points. There are several for citizens of the Russian Federation and other foreigners, and separately for citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan. That is, no crowd in one window in 2012. Baggage claim is also well arranged - each flight has its own "tape", excellent lighting. There are a number of seats to wait for the arrival of luggage. In 2012, I hardly found my suitcase in the dark, dropped by someone from the tape. At the exit from the airport, the work of the customs officers is also excellent. They disperse passengers very quickly, already determining by eye whose luggage needs to be passed through the "X-ray" and inspection, and who needs to be passed through the "green corridor".
It is also wonderful that when departing to the airport building, mourners are allowed to pass - only you need to present a document (passport or car license). And I was also pleased that the registration hall on the second floor can be reached by an escalator. 11 years ago I had to drag a suitcase up the stairs. In general, the airport is a solid five!

A very convenient small airport, we made an entrance in the boarding area, the first 10 minutes in the parking lot are free. A good departure area, of course, there is a lot to grow, but compared to the old airport, it's just a fairy tale.

It is too small for the main airport of the country. There are only two teletraps. It is not convenient to disembark via the teletraps, it is very far to go to the exit.
It takes a very long time for passengers to disembark, after landing, airport procedures take 40-50 minutes before passengers go outside. The staff are rude, there is little navigation inside the airport.
Of the advantages, reconstruction is underway, it may soon be more convenient.

There are no places to eat in the area before check-in, except for snacks. There's nowhere to even buy tea, just coffee. When a flight is delayed, airlines do not provide drinks and food, so from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. I had to starve, which is difficult for a person with a chronic disease.
At the entrance to the airport (not yet the airport itself), a strange dose of screening was organized, where bags are not checked, but you have to go through a metal detector and put everything out of your pockets. At the same time, there is a full inspection further in the airport building.
