A large and well-thought-out airport. You can wander before departure, there is an area for children, in general, as in many airports, but everything is quite colorful and cozy. Passport control is not very fast (upon arrival, the main thing is not to get in at the same time with another large plane, then there is a queue for 20-30 minutes).
Descent to the trains directly from the terminal. Payment for any transport (train, tram, bus and metro of GVB company using a single transport card.). It is important not to forget to mark the travel card at both stations, otherwise the amount for the longest trip will be charged (fares depend on the distance of the trip). Transport runs on schedule.
It is a good airport, quite spacious and comfortable.
Of course, you can't compare it with Sheremetyevo or Dubai (- these are generally enclaves in themselves :))), but Amsterdam airport itself is quite quite :)
For visitors, everything is there and everything is clear. The main thing is to know English) It is easy to navigate, if you do not know something, you can contact the information desk.
A modern, good, thoughtful and clean airport. There is a poppy, they accept euros and dollars, but the change is only in euros, at the end of the terminals there are free seats overlooking the runway where you can
sit. There was a transfer at 12 o'clock, so you can wander around the airport.
The airport is large, but quite cozy and understandable. The staff meticulously checks the luggage and people, which pleases us, because this is our safety. There are a lot of shops, if you don't have time to buy souvenirs, there is a lot to choose from.
Excellent accessibility- trains go directly to the airport terminal, it is quite convenient navigation - everywhere there are signs in English and most importantly there are no wild queues like at Sheremetyevo for registration and passport control.
Convenient airport
In the photo, a store with promotions and discounts
There is a 50+ room hotel inside the transfer area, and there are showers in the public toilet on the 2nd floor
Insanely huge, insanely beautiful! The only thing is that there are not enough shops in my opinion, they are concentrated only in the central part, there is little to find closer to the exits.
We arrived from Istanbul. Night flights are exhausting. But there are spacious and comfortable passages, document verification without haste, baggage collection, and we are finally free.
A modern, convenient airport. But it's not easy to get off an international flight. At customs, there is usually one employee + automatic turnstiles for Dutch citizens, where there is no queue, one employee for European and UK citizens, the queue is not very large, 20-30 minutes and one employee for all other passports, where the queue is super long for an hour and a half. There are shops and cafes inside the airport. A huge network of transfers to trains in different directions. It's easy enough to navigate.
We flew to Schiphol 4 times with the eldest. What I remember is that they always sell flowers) The visa is Austrian, but we have always loved to fly to the Netherlands, and from here to Germany, Belgium, France and further countries) We have already been guided)
Free Wi-Fi is important to navigate when there is no connection and no SIM card. It is very convenient to take trains, a taxi is still not rational without small children, it is better to eat on the second floor and go further) 23 euros per person by train to another city, and a taxi 60 ~ 80 to the Central station)
We flew away, we always made it in time, despite the fact that there are many transfers made by people flying to the USA and beyond. The queues are calm, everything is clear. Very friendly people work here. They will prompt, help, and direct you.
A large airport where everything is provided, well organized, enough information, as well as pleasant and helpful staff. I always feel comfortable with tvm!
It is located near the city, conveniently accessible by train or bus. It's clean everywhere. The airport is small, so getting to the landing site is fast. Friendly staff, there are souvenir shops if you suddenly forgot to buy, you can buy there, I did so) there is a waiting area with sockets, tables, sofas and free Wi-Fi for me it was very important.
A wonderful airport, and most importantly, there is such a feature if you register for VIP entry a few hours before departure. (Choose your own time slot for security) Choose your own time slot to ensure security - we pass without queuing!!!!
It's so wonderful!
A very convenient airport, although quite compact. In the building itself there is a passage to the trains to the center of Amsterdam and other cities. The only drawback is that they rarely accept cash, everything is sharpened for cards
Here you can see a rat running through the Lobby and catch covid due to the lack of antiseptics for your hands, but in general, if you stay safe, it is possible to fly away)
All bars, restaurants and shops were closed at 9.30 pm. Wait 2 hours before departure hungry, and have nowhere to go. Mice were running under the table at the cafe
We passed all the controls very quickly. It's a good airport. The toilet is clean, in general, everything is fine. I will be in Amsterdam, I will fly away from here 😅
Huge, far from new. The food in all cafes is the same - the same sandwiches and salads. But the beer is delicious. The toilets, by the way, are small. It was the first time I saw a queue in the men's
My favorite European airport. It is large but thoughtful with good navigation and very interesting. There are many cafes and shops. Original interior solutions. But come in advance - the airport is huge!
One of the largest and busiest airports in Europe. Also, like many, it is connected to the railway station. A large street of shops, a good electronics store. There are also many places to eat, but there are always a lot of people. If you are traveling on business, you can stay at Citizen M. for a day. A great hotel for business trips. Walk 200 meters directly from the airport building. Stop and you won't regret it. Also on the square in front of the airport, as well as numerous buses, they also work like clockwork. There are a lot of Shuttles to night shelters in the vicinity, but you need to look for a shuttle stop. Take it to the right when exiting the airport building.
Gorgeous airport! There are many interesting locations and cafes. The very inscription l love Amsterdam, is now here. There is even a model of an airplane cabin
Schiphol is not very beautiful and clean, but the people there are kind. Luggage storage is 6 euros per day, it is very inexpensive. Right there in Schiphol, you can buy a train ticket and go to any other city, it seems to cost 4 euros. Going outside, you can take a taxi, but this is already expensive, for example, they ask for 60 euros to the Central Station, but you can bargain, there is also a bus stop nearby. In general, everything is very compact, convenient and democratic
A cool, cozy airport.
Carry-on liquid should be put in a bag if anything))) they are given out before checking luggage
If there is a long connection, you can quickly get to the center by metro (14 minutes), walk
A large and well-thought-out airport. You can wander before departure, there are areas for children, in general, as in many airports, but everything is quite colorful and cozy. Quick passport control (upon arrival, the main thing is not to get in at the same time with another large plane, then there is a queue for 20-30 minutes).
Shops and cafes at prices do not differ much from the city, unlike many other countries and cities. (at least not at times). Direct descent from the terminal to the trains. Payment for any transport (train, tram, bus and metro of GVB company using a single transport card.). It is important not to forget to mark the travel card at both stations, otherwise the amount for the longest trip will be charged (fares depend on the distance of the trip). it is a very good airport, but there are disadvantages:
1) long queues for registration
2) low-cost airlines do not have their own automatic check-in, even if there is no luggage
that's all, so of course 5 stars
Clean, neat, convenient!
But IT's EXPENSIVE, it's very EXPENSIVE!
And eat, and sleep, and buy a souvenir / gift. Alcohol in Duty-free is slightly more expensive than other European "gates".
Restrictions have been introduced for the duration of the Covid:
- no more than half of the retail and catering facilities are operating (there were already few of the latter).
- they don't let you inside the boutiques, you have to point your finger at what exactly interests you, and they will bring it to you... To be honest, it's another idea - how do you understand what you need in a row of hangers standing sideways to you ...? or on a shelf in a stack? but taking into account the price tag, I think this is not the most relevant question ...
- after 21.00 practically nothing works, and you find yourself in an environment of "apocalypse, where few survivors wander around the airport ..."
- you will not even be able to drink from grief, unless of course you buy in advance... and do not "beg" for cups at McDonald's ...
- seats in the halls are sedentary, to lie down and sleep you need to go either to a capsule hotel for 200-300 Euros a night, well, or on the floor...
In the morning, the airport comes to life, and the feeling of the apocalypse disappears until the next evening...
If there is a choice, it is "more interesting" to fly through other hubs in Europe (well, with the possible exception of Scandinavian and Baltic ones, in fact - there is also a minimum of amenities and a biting price tag)
A good airport, affordable navigation and reasonable prices.Non-complicated passport control and baggage inspection. The staff will always help if you have any questions. The only thing is that after quarantine in 2020, all the smoking rooms were removed, so it will be difficult for smokers to wait for the flight.
