There is no airport on arrival as such. A small room for baggage collection.
The departure terminal, to put it mildly, is compact with an appropriate level and number of amenities.
In general, this is not a place where it would be worth staying for a long time waiting for departure.

A terrible airport, more like a train station somewhere deep in the province, but not an international airport. You have to wait for the flight in the common room, you are allowed into the departure area immediately before the flight. I was without luggage, I had an electronic boarding pass on my hands - they didn't miss it, they said that they needed to get a paper one. I had to stand in line. Passengers, apparently imbued with the atmosphere, go to sleep right on the seats in their shoes. This makes the seats in the hall dirty. There is no information about the flight, except for a small uninformative scoreboard at the very end of the hall.

I was lucky enough to visit Shymkent airport. It feels like I got to the bus station, a lot of people have nowhere to sit. I look at the departure board and understand why there is such a stalling. A lot of flights and all at about the same time, it's a horror who made up the schedule like that? You should be fired for bullying people like that. People were even sitting on their own suitcases and bags.
