We got there by accident because of the hurricane. We spent two hours on the plane, then two hours at the airport. Then back on the plane and to Monasmir Airport. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. Nobody needs them. Nobody cares about us.
The small airport on the island of Djerba left pleasant memories. Cozy, homely, even friendly staff. Clean rooms. A good choice in duty free. And there are also shops with local goods 😃😃
The airport is very spacious, there is a smoking area after passing through passport and baggage control. Dutifrey is alone. There are many cafes where you can have tea, coffee or a snack. There are scouts for charging gadgets!
Nothing special. I can't say anything bad and nothing good. The average airport. The standard for ports of this level. The resort area. Not an evil staff. They do not torment passengers too much during the inspection. There is a dutik with swill. Well, where without it. The air conditioners are working, which is also very pleasing. The strip is not curved. The steering is not complicated. The entry has special features. But not critically.
The airport is big and beautiful. But the staff and the organization of their work are at a very low level. Corruption is not hidden (one employee went and spent $ 5 without waiting in line for registration. The workers are barely moving. We spent about 1.5 hours in the registration queue, despite being in the middle. there were a lot of people, only two windows were working. At the same time, the employees talked to each other, took off and did not hurry to register. Well, dirty toilets.
All the most terrible things happened at this airport. The girl on the loading belt did everything very slowly and there was a preponderance of the suitcase, she did not want to return the documents with the words "not my problem", then when the bags were inspected, perfume in the volume of 30ml was seized due to the fact that they were not packed, but in another bag there was a bottle of water in the volume of 0.5 and it was not taken away (initially it was said that it is possible to carry no more than 100 ml per person). After 10 minutes, I came to find out where the plane was leaving for Moscow, they asked me in English if I knew English, I told them no, to which they told me bye. As if politely sent. So the impression is terrible!!!
The rested, happy people with a good opinion of Djerba planned to fly home to Moscow. Upon approaching the reception desk, they asked if they could take olive cutting boards in their hand luggage. They answered yes, no problem. Thank you for at least advising me to put the oil in my luggage. We reached the customs office and it started. They took away the boards, both large and small, under the pretext that they were cold steel, that her husband would kill the pilots. My husband turned white, I thought he would have a heart attack. After all, it was for these boards that he came here. I went looking for it, haggled for a week. So the customs officers of Djerba began to extort money. As a result, after paying them, the boards no longer bothered anyone and you can safely take them on board. And the funny thing is that these same boards are sold in the duty free zone right behind their wall without any problems. In general, the impression of the people of Djerba was spoiled at once.
The airport staff is working very slowly, they are not in a hurry to go anywhere. Only two check-in desks were open, as a result, we stood in line for 2.5 hours and the flight was delayed for 1.5 hours because of this. The employee who checked in for the flight was rude. Well, in general, they need to reconsider their attitude towards tourists, because this spoils the overall impression of Djerba too much. Yes, and also, in cafes at the same airport on the ground floor, you can not pay in cash with dollars)))
The airport is big enough for Tunisia. There is only one duty free shop. The rest are local souvenirs at horse prices. A couple of cafes. A slow free wifi is catching in the left wing of the departure. The toilets are dirty.
A good airport, everything is convenient and suitcases are weighed, and the smoking room next to it is closed (you do not need to go anywhere and re-enter). Clean and cozy.

A small airport. I found everything easily. I got my luggage quickly. The only thing that upset me was the huge queue at passport control. Well, it's a small thing when you come to rest)
There were huge queues at passport control during arrival, I stood for more than an hour when I flew home, I spent 15 minutes...There is no WI-FI, you can connect in a cafe, but you need a mobile Internet to connect, the circle closes))Prices for food and drinks are cheaper than in Sheremetyevo.
Queues for check-in at the exit from the country are very large, they stood for about an hour until they entered the airport building. The surrounding area is not very clean...
Illiterate staff.
We were given tickets to the middle row at the reception. And we paid for the pre-selected double seats by the window. We found out it was already late when boarding at samalet .And they refused to return the money.
Now I always check on the spot.

It's great in the departure area! Clean and plenty of space. There is a duty free shop and souvenirs, all for euros or dollars
The toilets are terrible, 2 cabins, one of them does not close, the dryer does not work! WiFi is not working!!!! Packing suitcases does not work. And lo and behold, they opened their suitcases at home in Moscow, all the linen was turned over, all the purses were opened with medicines and shampoos.
The airport is small, there are only 1 duty free shops. There are few cafes, just a little snack. In general, there is nothing special to compare with Sheremetyevo, of course.
It's a good airport, although luggage is not handled carefully when loading. We flew from Sheremetyevo, the luggage arrived without damage, and we flew from Zarzis, arrived a little damaged.
We stood at passport control for more than half an hour upon arrival, they work very slowly. The bathrooms are not in a very good condition. There is a free Wi-Fi, but it was not possible to connect to it.
There is no information board in the departure hall, you can only find out about the gate from the boarding pass. A pretty good duty free store, but they don't know about contactless payment.

It's just a great airport for tourists. Cozy, beautiful, just great
The passage of passageways to the airport building for departure has not been thought out, from one end of the airport from the baggage inspection area it is necessary to go to the other for flight registration.

There are kilometer-long queues at the entrance to the airport! They keep people in the heat. You can arrange an additional entrance, there is an opportunity for this!
Long queues. Upon arrival, if you are flying from THERE, then there are no check-in counters. We had to look for buses with suitcases and children ourselves (((
Everything is basically at a good level, if the baggage loading belt hadn't broken and we hadn't been standing at the check-in desk for 1 hour because of this
