Everything was fine, just empty. It seems that this airport is used only as a backup. And so everything is as usual. The only thing I would probably note is that the control when boarding the plane in Moscow was more stringent.

It's a pretty large-scale airport.(almost like DXB). It is located in the southern part of the Emirates, and you can easily get to the center by taxi from it. As it should be at the airport, everything is there. Al Maktoum, a relatively new airport. I think it will still expand and develop.

when you arrive, change the money at the airport (a little) to pay for a taxi. All sorts of people will run up shouting Madame taxi, you don't have to go with them, there's a divorce for money. Municipal taxis operate here, where the cost is calculated using a taximeter. You need to follow the Taxi signs, there is a whole parking lot of municipal taxis (they are beige with colored roofs).

A large and quiet airport in the suburbs of Dubai. Flights from Russia here are operated only by a / c "Russia" and "Victory". It is relatively far from the city center, about 50-60 km. You can get there by a regular bus that runs every 30 minutes or by taxi (~ $ 60). There is a nice Holiday Inn hotel near the airport.

I've only been there three times so far, but, you must agree, this is an indicator. There is a smoking room, which is important to me. Very far from the city (but this is probably for now, given the growth rate). Taxi about 150 dirhams from/to the Marina area. You can get by bus + metro for 2.5-3h, but cheaper - about 20 dirhams.
There are few shops and places to eat inside the airport, half of the available ones are closed. And this is before the start of the gathering of aviation enthusiasts and workers of a wide geography - Dubai Airshow, which took place directly at this airport.

A brand new airport. It's almost empty so far. Therefore, border control should be carried out quickly. But it is located behind the JebelAli Free zone and it is quite a long drive to Dubai. Sharjah is about an hour away. If there is no heavy luggage, then you can take a taxi to the Dubai metro station, drive to the terminal in Sharjah, and from there take a taxi to the place.
