A large airport, modern, you can get there by bus from the expo metro stop, check-in on departure is fast, on arrival it is not always fast, there is a buttercup, you can immediately buy a zero card to travel by public transport in Dubai, the only disadvantage of the airport is remote from the city, it takes 1.5-2 hours to drive
A small and understandable airport. There are duty-free shops, a huge parking lot, a cafe and a lot of places to wait. There's definitely enough for everyone to sit down and comfortably wait for their flight.
Currently (not completed yet) It is a compact and cozy airport. There were no problems with tax free. The airport staff was very polite. There are several cafes and fast food outlets, which is certainly not enough. We also did not get into the business lounge, as it was overloaded, but this did not affect our impressions and mood in any way.
It's a wonderful airport. It wasn't big with lovely carpets in the waiting room, it was so cozy. Everyone is very polite, biometric passport control, just attach your passport and look at the camera and the aisle. There is a dutik.
The airport is like everywhere else. But the location is not very convenient. To get to the city, I had to travel 1.5 hours in a crowded bus to the nearest metro station 2020 expo. There are exchangers at the airport in the baggage claim area, which is not profitable at all. There is an exchanger at the exit after the green corridor, where the exchanger is already close to the city ones.
It is very far from the city. Not a taxi, that's at least 170 USD. If you take public transport, take 2-3 hours. You take the bus from the metro to the airport for 40 minutes, and that's because it circles around different terminals, cargo and so on. After that, he returns halfway back to the airport. I can't imagine why you can't change your route. The airport itself is made for Russians and the CIS, there are no other people there, so you understand the attitude. There are 2-3 windows everywhere, so there are wild queues. Duty free is terrible, there is nothing. Of the advantages, there is a McDonald's in the waiting area, the prices are the same as in the city. If possible, choose another airport terminal.
I was very pleased with the responsiveness of all the employees I contacted on the day of arrival and on the day of departure. As in principle, and the hospitality of local and non-local foreigners in Dubai. Why foreigners? Yes, because I talked to Russians there 2 times, always sour, dissatisfied faces, arrogant communication. My God, fellow citizens, when will it be easier for you? There is a cloud in the shale from a lousy guess and when asked how to get to the beach, it makes me feel "I didn't go to the free one" to be like that. I am often ashamed of my fellow citizens abroad. And the airport and the city are high
It's a very cool airport, small, essentially one-story, and as free as possible (at least when we were there). There is a huge empty parking lot in front of him, there is practically no traffic nearby. When we took off, there was 1 person in the queue at check-in, 0 at passport control, 0 at scanning, as a result, it took 5 minutes from entering the airport to the waiting room. There is a Smart Gate framework at passport control, such as it should be convenient and fast, but this is if they work, which does not happen for everyone for unknown reasons. In the waiting area there is a McDuck with adequate lunch prices and a coffee shop. The toilets are cool in Dubai and there are quite a lot of them. In fact, the only disadvantage of a small airport is the lack of sleeves, buses are transported to and from the plane.
You can get from the airport to the metro by bus F55, runs according to the schedule (there is one in Yandex Maps) once every 15-20 minutes, it is paid with a Nol transport card. Both times the bus was half empty. It seems like it's not far away, but the bus wanders through all sorts of local back streets, picking up people, as a result, it takes about 40 minutes in time. Of course, it would be absolutely wonderful if the metro was extended to this airport.
I really liked the airport. Small, clear, and cozy.
There is a small duty-free area and a cafe. Inspection and control are quick.
If I have a choice, I prefer to fly from Dubai from here.
A modern, large airport! But the departure area is very modest, except there is nowhere to eat at McDonald's, one Duty-Free store and basically everything... Dubai's main airport is still very, very far away!
Beauty))) It's clean, there's a lot of space, damn, it's just technologically advanced, where is the retina scanned? There) everything is very fast, polite, and automatic. Everything is fast with the luggage too. I really liked it
A small airport. But the staff is very friendly. There is a good selection of perfumes in Duty Free. There are several cafes on the 2nd floor. You can buy delicious rolls, sandwiches and salads on the plane.
A cozy small airport, with good Moscow prices for food and drinks. Drinks and snacks at the vending machine cannot be paid in cash in dirhams, only by card (our cards do not work). Mostly flights from Russia, CIS countries and a bit of Europe.
Nice, new airport. Everything is accessible and understandable. Empty parking, empty waiting rooms. There was no way to evaluate the business hall. It is not far from Dubai, geographically closer to the Dubai Marina area.
The airport is relatively small, in general everything is fast, and baggage check-in and passport control.
Of the disadvantages, there was only one personal security checkpoint and there was a crowd of people in this place, they didn't "dig up" the volume of water with them, everyone had 0.5, everyone was allowed through ...
Duty free is small at the moment, but some departments are still under construction.
It's a long way from the center. If you want to get from it by public transport, you will have to tinker. It's better to take a taxi. As for the airport itself, it is very spacious. I quickly went through everything and calmly waited for the landing.
For the chic and glitz of Dubai, it's a pity that the airport is in such a poor condition! It's just that the whole impression is spoiling!!!
And it's also a pity that there is no way to put a minus five star!!!
2 hours before departure, we were driven from a clean zone to another departure zone, and where there was not even a toilet!!! No one was allowed out of this room 20 by 20 meters...for a city that is full of service, chic and sparkle, the airport is probably at the toilet-type level. It's nice to arrive-you fly away in misunderstanding... What kind of village was it anyway?
A small airport and a small town.
There is a smoking room inside.
You can only eat in the poppy.
The fast tax-free system is not comparable to Turkey, where you need to show all receipts, all boxes, tags, etc. Everything is fast and clear here.
It's small compared to the main one, so it's quite calm, neat, and there are no complaints. The only negative is the huge queue at the tiny business lounge...It could have been done more, given that Dubai is a super popular destination.
There aren't many people there yet. Therefore, five stars. We were the only ones when we arrived and when we flew to Moscow. The staff is friendly. The service is better than in Moscow. There is a cafe, a McDonald's (prices are the same as in the city), an exchange office, and free taxis.
DutifRey is not big, just perfumes and alcohol.
We like this Dubai airport better, quiet, few people, lots of space. Everyone leaves quickly, there are no long gatherings waiting. There's one McDonald's and two cafes for the entire airport, but there's plenty of room for everyone to eat.
There are many advantages — it is empty, there are no queues, free parking and, unlike DXB, there are almost never traffic jams. From Palma it is stable for 40 minutes, from many parts of the city no more.
The minus follows from the plus — in the departure area only McDonald's and Costa coffee is stupid. And considering that all victory flights fly from here and they are so ee without food, it is worth planning a meal for 5-6 hours in advance.
Everything is perfect
Not a single minus , just the pros
Cleanliness, comfort, reliability
Great airport
The staff is very polite
I recommend it !!!
10 out of 10
The airport was built specifically for the Expo, small but calm, huge waiting rooms with soft carpets, lots of charging outlets, with suitable openings. They accept mainly flights from Russia. Convenient location, we got there without traffic jams, there is a Bin Trampoline shopping center along the way.
The airport was not loaded! Parking is free, free. Everything is intuitive. A good business lounge, duty free is certainly more expensive than the same goods in the country. It takes about 35 minutes by car to get to the center of Dubai (if you focus on the Dubai Mall)!
Excellent service and airport staff, I have never passed all the checks and controls so quickly and efficiently. The entire infrastructure inside the airport is comfortably equipped
A good new airport, duty-free shops were in the process of opening, but there was still one. There were very few people at the airport, so the check-in and other procedures were completed instantly. The waiting areas are equipped with comfortable chairs, and there are cafes for snacks. There is a designated smoking area.
There are few people here and everything is fast. The system is very convenient for departure. I put my passport in, looked at the camera, and walked through.
That's when you arrive. There is no subway here. You can get to the metro by bus right next to the exit to the EXPO2020 station. Rides for 30-40 minutes. Buy a Silver card for buses and metro 25 dirhams near the exit in the store.
The cafes in the departure area are all new and quiet. Everyone is very polite.
It's small, there aren't many flights, so there aren't many people. There is no jostling, you can eat on the second floor. There are comfortable chairs with footrests in the waiting room. There are carpets on the floor, you can take off your shoes and stretch your legs. From the plane flying to this airport, you can take beautiful photos of Palm trees.
A big, clean, new airport. The duty free zone is scanty, you don't need to expect that you can buy something here. There are drinks, perfumes and chocolates, statuettes of camels and Burj khalifa. That's probably all! The waiting area is huge, there are enough seats, there is carpet on the floor, children ran barefoot. A makdack was seen on the second floor, but we did not go there, we arrived late at the airport.
The check-in area is a huge long snake maze. A boarding pass was issued quickly enough, then the customs area. Everything is decent, fast, without huge waiting queues.
The airport is small (compared to Dubai's main airport, DXB) and mainly accepts low-cost flights of the Pobeda type. There are few people, and the parking lot is large and close to the entrance to the terminal, so it's free for now, so you can safely park your car for a few days.
Very clean, comfortable. There is also a place to have a snack and buy gifts. The waiting time flew by unnoticed. The taxi fries were issued quickly and without waiting in line.
A huge, empty airport. At the same time, there are few seats in the check-in area. There are many duty-free boutiques. A comfortable waiting room. But the business lounge leaves much to be desired. On arrival, you will be greeted by Arabs in national clothes. Only three racks were working. But surprisingly, the queue passes quickly. They give you local SIM cards for free.
In my opinion, it's a very strange airport. It's small. We got from Dubai Marina to it in about 40-60 minutes by taxi. We flew on a regular Aeroflot flight. There is no such possibility to register online, I had to stand in line for more than an hour to check in, then most of the registered passengers went to the only business lounge, a queue formed at the door, and there were half-empty plates and a non-working coffee machine on the buffet. There was no teletrap to the plane, they took us on two buses in the heat. DutyFree is quite modest, the selection of products is not very large. I didn't like this airport.
Of course, this is not the central airport of Dubai, there are no expensive and interesting installations, many boutiques, etc. But there is a lot of space and few people (mostly Russian-speaking people, because the main flights are from Russia). There is so much space that children can arrange suitcase races (which is exactly what our children were doing). The airport is more than intuitive. Upon arrival at the control, they immediately divide the queue with and without children. An adult's face is scanned, which allows for more rapid control in the future. Upon arrival, they give out a free SIM card, which is valid for exactly one day after activation - convenient. After passing the control, there are shops and currency exchange offices. There are free pump rooms with drinking water at the airport. You can get to the city by public transport (bus + metro) or by taxi. The NOL card (travel card) can be purchased at the store (see photo). The price is 25 dirhams, of which 19 remain on the map - this is enough to get to anywhere in Dubai. The bus goes to the metro station (at night to Ibn Battuta, from 6:00 am to EXPO 2020). The transition from the bus to the subway is very clear, it does not cause difficulties.
About taxis - municipal taxis (with blue and red roofs) are on duty near the airport - they are cheaper than calling through the app.
The departure area is also clear and operational (due to low passenger traffic). The waiting chairs are comfortable. Minus - we boarded through the bus - there were no teletraps either for arrival or departure. In general, I liked the airport because there are few passengers, a lot of space and everything is clear.
It was the first time this year that we arrived and flew to this airport.. It seemed a little longer than usual to drive to Palma from the airport..
the airport is not busy, there are few flights- and interestingly, most of them are flights to Russia ... on the scoreboard: St. Petersburg, Kazan, ekb, Moscow ... in general, the impressions are positive- probably from the fact that there are no crowds of Hindus, Pakistanis and Arabs in slippers with fungal nails))) and you get into the same volume with your fellow countrymen- well-dressed, decent, polite, in a good mood))) in general, I liked the airport
Few people, fast service, clean and comfortable. The airport is half-empty, it feels like some of the flights from Dubai's main international airport are specially sent here in order to somehow load up with work. But everything is working: cafes, shops, check-in counters and customs
Very comfortable, small - this is a big plus, there are no huge queues, it is equipped with electronic passport control, which increases the passability of passengers, and screening is also very convenient. Wi-Fi is elementary, detects and immediately connects, no need to register and other problems, arrived, a second to connect and you're in touch. Upon arrival, they give you a SIM card for free, leaving the airport again with the Internet. Very comfortable, clean, friendly staff!
Brand new, clean and not a big airport near Dubai! There are no queues from check-in to boarding - everything is fast!
There are cafes and Macs and duty free! Comfortable recreation areas!
A huge modern building. The information is available, everything is logical and understandable. The big dutifrey store. Cafes are open. A good gift shop. Where you can easily part with the remaining dirhams) there is a lot of space in the waiting rooms, there is always a place to sit down.
The airport is not heavily loaded with passenger traffic for January 2025, which only makes it better! There is no fuss, a calm environment.
You can quickly go through the security check and wander around the airport. A small island of duty free (mostly perfumes, alcohol, and souvenirs).
There are only 3 cafes in a clean area. Coffee shop, McDonald's, and pub. There's a huge queue at Mac. As it is, there are no complaints about the airport, everything went through quickly enough and the airport is quite compact.
It's a nice, small airport with few people. It is more convenient to get to Dubai Marina from there. One of the disadvantages is a small duty-free and a small food court.
Nice new airport! The service is top notch! Duty-free shops are open! Cleanliness and order! The staff is responsive, they will provide guidance on any issue.
An airport built for Russians and CIS countries. The only disadvantage is that it is far from Dubai. It's still deserted here. Four planes arrived, and 12 passport windows were opened. It passed quickly. There are free chargers everywhere. 50 rubles of water for a local mineral water and 100 for evian, two exchangers with an almost official exchange rate, dear dutik. Car rental with prices much lower than the official rates. Free parking
In the departure area, everything is clear where to go. Mac and Costa coffee. In the business hall, the Russians are put behind chairs, and everyone else on sofas
everything is clean, there are many places where you can have a snack, we also had a delayed flight, but we were given free food stamps, the staff is very polite and there are toilets everywhere
Spacious, it seems only Russia flies. There are no crowds of people. There is no departure counter board. A green area with duty free, coffee shops and a furt court on the 2nd floor. A comfortable room for smokers . It is not possible to get lost there. Favorite airport. Although it is 60 km from the city, not far from the Expocenter, 200 dirhams by taxi.
Al Maktoum is not a big airport. There are not many shops and cafes in the departure area. It's a stupid system (although convenient organizationally) - an hour before boarding, everyone is herded into a small hall so that they don't waste time on inspections later. But there's no toilet and you can't go back out.
