We had a rest in Mevlana at the end of March with my mother and were satisfied. The location of the hotel for tourists is straight 10/10, top. It was convenient to walk in different directions every day, and it was convenient to get to any public transport (tram, ferries). The room is small but comfortable. The windows of the room faced the street, but it is quiet and peaceful, despite the location in the very tourist center, the hotel has a good location. The beds are comfortable, and we slept great after a day of active walks)) The furniture (especially the wardrobe), except for the bed, is just old, but it didn't spoil our impressions at all, it didn't affect the rest in the room in any way) The shower room left only positive emotions - the water pressure is excellent, the shower head can be seen that it was recently changed. The hot water is always hot. The room was cleaned daily, and towels/disposable bottles were changed in the bathroom every day. The water bottles were renewed daily. Breakfast deserves special thanks! I don't know what kind of fastidious people write reviews))) they always came to the beginning and there was enough of everything, after something ended, not immediately, but everything was replenished again. Every morning we started with delicious plates (yes, every day is the same +-, but at home we also don't eat differently every day), we enjoyed the truly delicious food and beautiful views from the veranda. As a bonus for entertainment, a seagull comes every morning and demands to be fed) We were very impressed with our stay at the hotel during our vacation, and we thank the staff for their contribution to our pleasant vacation! I attach photos of the room, bathroom, hall, view from the window of the room to the street and many photos from our breakfasts))

I consider our area to be the most ideal for tourists. It's quiet, safe, and you can get anywhere in the city by public transport. As for the exchanger, I do not advise (very low exchange rate) it is better to go to non-tourist areas and there is a good exchange rate . The hotel has a Russian-speaking staff. Delicious breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the Bosphorus. The room had everything you needed to stay. The hair dryer was working . Cleaning was daily. The only negative is that we were unlucky with the view from the window. Thank you for the warm welcome.

A normal hotel for tourists who want to see Istanbul. It is located right in the historical center: the Hippodrome, Sultanahmet Mosque, Al-Sofia, TopKapi Palace, Basilica cistern - everything is nearby. Breakfasts from 8 a.m. are generally normal (but do not expect abundance as in the exclusive in the usual beach hotels). There is also an additional entertainment - to feed the seagulls, they are used to it, they knock on the window asking for food. The rooms are small and clean. I spent the night and went back to explore the city.😜 The staff is friendly and friendly. In general, the hotel is normal.

A normal hotel in the historical center of Istanbul. Hearty, simple breakfasts. The windows overlook some kind of shaft, but there's nothing you can do about it, the streets in the center are very cramped, the houses are close to each other. 2* I'm betting on the cons, which could have been eliminated. In the room on the 5th floor, the audibility is simply unbearable, and there is a restaurant next door, in the evening they make noise until midnight, in the morning they start making noise from 5 - 5;30. There is no Wi-fi. The smell of cigarettes blows out of the bathroom vents. Water and toilet paper are not always replenished (

It's a funny place. Everything they say in the reviews is true. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the breakfasts are good. But if you're "lucky", you'll be accommodated next to the restaurant's kitchen. There are no smells, but there is noise almost around the clock, right outside the door. We were "lucky". But we slept soundly after our walks.

The solid 3 hotel, the audibility is just trash, we lived in the basement, at first there was sadness, then joy that there were a minimum of people walking, but still walking ... the room is very small, the window looks out somewhere into the courtyard, but this is from all floors, the closet cannot be called a closet, the water flows in the bathroom under the sink, breakfast is the same every day, it ends quickly, it is slowly replenished, you have to ask, I read about cockroaches, but fortunately we did not meet them ... now about the advantages: top location, breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Blue Mosque, excellent water pressure, there is a Russian-speaking staff. You can order a taxi near the hotel, 40 euros for a couple, arrived on time

It's not bad for an overnight stay, it's clean, they clean every day, the rooms are really very small, you can't turn around just the two of you, a low shower cabin, with my only 190 cm, I knocked my whole head off in it, because of this, only 4 stars

Good evening! The hotel is not bad. There is an elevator. The rooms are small but clean. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The room has shampoo, gel, and drinking water. Breakfast ( omelette, sausages, cheese, bread and there was melon, jam, yogurt) . There may be a problem that we had. During the check-in, it turned out that there was a "tech.failure" and our room is occupied, it will be free only the next day. We were checked into another hotel for one night. We were not the only ones in this situation . Be careful. Although our money was received by the hotel. The location is 10-15 minutes from the sea and to the main attractions ( Ice Sofi, Blue Mosque.. ) also 10-15 minutes.

The location of the hotel is just great, all the main attractions are 5-7 minutes away at a leisurely pace. But that's all the advantages. 😁 In general, the hotel is quite suitable for just spending the night, you should not expect super repairs or extra cleanliness from it. The furniture is very old, battered in places. The bed linen is clean, but no one is in a hurry to clean the rooms. Moreover, when booking a room, they indicated that 2 single beds were required, in fact they made one, they said that only the next morning they would be able to pull the bed apart, I had to do it myself, thank you that they did not refuse to give the second set of linen right away. There are breakfasts, they are quite edible, but monotonous. Something was missing for breakfast every day: the milk was not delivered, the bread was forgotten to cut, the coffee machine was not working, etc.

You need to make a reservation right away. This is a small hotel with small rooms right in the city center! Pros great location, view from the window of the Bosphorus and the Blue Mosque the bed is comfortable , the Internet is good , I clean the rooms daily tomorrow is excellent, delicious, not very diverse. cons: the rooms are small, but it will do for two people. you can only sleep in earplugs, because there is a street under the window. Overall a great hotel with pleasant staff. if you are traveling in 1-2 and do not plan to hang out at the hotel, but you need the hotel to sleep. This hotel is the perfect place.

We stayed at the hotel in April from April 10-15, 2025. there is enough food for breakfast for one hour, then only cheese and a roll, the water in the bathroom barely flows and I don't wash my hair, I don't say anything about audibility, it's clear that restaurants are nearby and all that. From the good location of the hotel, a beautiful street and a terrace where breakfast was served! At the airport, do not change the money, we were immediately deceived there, they gave us 2800 lira for 100 dollars, in the city they changed the next day for 3700, which is of course immeasurable

The hotel is cozy and clean. Room cleaning every day. We were accommodated on the fifth floor next to the restaurant, with 100% audibility, but this did not bother us as we came tired in the evening and went to bed. The bathroom is very damp and cold. We had a rest in early March.

It's a good place. It is located between the Blue Mosque and the embankment (5 minutes in each direction) - i.e. the main attractions are just around the corner and you can enjoy a walk along the sea. But it takes 13-15 minutes to walk to the tram, keep in mind if you plan to visit other areas - this is the most convenient way to get around Istanbul. Indeed, there is a terrace overlooking the sea and the domes of the Blue Mosque. It's very nice to have breakfast. About breakfast: even if you don't eat fried and spicy Turkish for breakfast, you can have a normal breakfast: omelette, cheeses, cornflakes and yogurt, vegetables, fruits, cookies. I will especially note the nut sauce - this is a feature, it is very pleasing. Coffee, of course, could be better. But "juices" are terrible chemistry. You can also have dinner here, but the prices are like in all Sultanahmet and not everything that is stated in the menu and wine list is available. Important: a 5-minute walk from a cafe and a restaurant (distinguished by the presence or absence of alcohol) with sea views and reasonable prices (better than in the whole area). The cozy rooms are decorated in soothing colors. New bed linen (at least I had it). They cleaned and put water on every day (although they hung a sign). Bumblebee gels are available. The guys are calm, with restraint, friendly. The comrade who speaks Russian has let me down a little - as if he is always a little annoyed. Attention! What is not on the booking sites: the window of the standard room opens into a gloomy well of about 2x2 meters with the same window from another room opposite; with all the consequences. Rather noisy outdoor air conditioning units are installed in the same well. And it smells like something not very pleasant. I was not aware of such a "surprise" and had to pay extra for moving to a room with a window on the street. Overall: clean, cozy, in the heart of Istanbul and breakfasts overlooking the sea.

To be honest, the hotel is not bad, the rooms are very small, but with amenities! The staff is very friendly, on the 5th floor there is a restaurant on the terrace with a beautiful view of the sea and with seagulls fed by local restaurant employees! We stayed 4 nights. Economy room. Located in the basement. There was a lot of noise coming from the street. You can't see anything from the windows. Clear. In 4 days, the bed was changed 1 time, towels were changed every day. Shampoo, gel every day. There is a kettle in the room, but only a small bottle of water. There is a safe, a hairdryer. The breakfasts are Turkish, normal if you come early. In general, we are satisfied with the hotel. They only came to sleep.

The breakfast at this hotel is simply bombastic, a buffet and a very good selection of food and drinks. Walking distance to the waterfront and all major attractions. Of the disadvantages, the hotel itself does not catch the connection of the SIM card practically, and the Wi-Fi is well average. But in general, the hotel is good for its money, I recommend

Going through 100,500 hotels in Istanbul in 6 hours is normal. Because, more often than not, reality does not match the picture. Not everything coincided in Mevlana either, but the expectations were nevertheless confirmed. A small hotel, quite clean, the rooms are cleaned every day and even towels are changed daily. I've never asked for it, but they change it anyway. The roof deck, by the way, is a great thing. Breakfast with a sea view is a great start to the day. Minus one. Some rooms overlook the courtyard. More precisely, it is such a narrow half-star. And sometimes the staff smokes there. I lived on the second floor - it didn't reach me, but it wasn't very good on the first floor. But when we left, it was raining and the receptionist gave us an umbrella. But overall the Mevlana hotel is not bad. Especially in Istanbul, it's a sin to sit in a room. Even in the rain.

Nice hotel! A confident three and even about 4. The staff is very friendly, they will always help and tell you, there is a Russian-speaking girl Kamila. The service is at the same level as everywhere else in Turkey. The room was cleaned every day, towels were changed daily, shampoos were added and tea/coffee and water were brought. The bed linen was changed every 3 days. The hotel has a restaurant on the 5th floor with a magnificent terrace and very tasty cuisine. Affordable prices will especially please you, especially for such large portions. Hotel guests receive a 10% discount and tea with baklava is served as a gift)) The hotel is within walking distance of the main attractions: the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hurrem Sultan Hammam and much more. You can walk everywhere, but there is also a tram stop nearby! I recommend this hotel to everyone!

We moved into a room on the 5th floor. This is hell. Behind the door is a restaurant that is open until 12:00 but then it is cleaned until about one o'clock in the morning. At 6 in the morning, the mosque starts yelling, and at 7 the restaurant opens again. You will not be able to sleep normally. There is also a room on the ground floor where you will constantly listen to the guests come and go. The room in the basement is a separate topic. The breakfasts are not bad. The rooms are cleaned every day, but they are still in a deplorable state. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING IN THIS HOTEL AND THE AREA. After leaving the hotel, you will get to the tourist street, where local touts will get you.

restaurant. We took a room with breakfast. On the first day at breakfast I took a handful of grapes, but it was not washed (just dusty berries), there were no clean coffee mugs, I had to ask to wash it. Later, I got some bad butter. The choice at breakfast is normal, but I did not like half of the products, especially sausages (my personal preferences). A very strange coffee machine that works every other time. We had dinner once in the restaurant on the hotel terrace, it is quite expensive there, especially alcohol. The service is good and fast, they gave compliments (snacks, tea), but the bill included tips for the service. Regular 500 ml beer costs 1.5 times more here than in restaurants located nearby on the 1st floor. The cuisine is Turkish. ROOMS. The repair is not fresh. The cleanliness is not perfect, but in general it is normal. Towels and shower accessories were changed daily, the bed was also made, but the linen was not changed (it seems to me). The mattress is very hard. There is very little space for clothes. One small closet with 2 hangers and that's it. The Standard room is small and overlooks the window of another room. We booked a Superior room on the island, but upon arrival we were told that this service has an error and it passes off the Standard as Superior. Superior is distinguished by the fact that the windows overlook the street from the side of the main facade of the hotel and the room area is larger, well, the price is higher. I don't know if this is true or an invention of the hotel staff. A few days later, we were promised a better room + promised to give a superior because of a small problem that came out when cleaning the room. Somehow the room smelled of sewage, we quickly got dressed and went for breakfast and a walk, in the evening it no longer smelled. One day, during the cleaning, they threw out a package with factory packages and receipts, which we hid behind a suitcase. These checks were needed for tax free! I was just shocked, it was very strange to take it for garbage!!! We came in late at night, went to bed and found out in the morning that he was gone! Naturally, by that time the package was already in the trash. Moreover, the soap package lay on the floor in the bathroom for almost 3 days, I did not throw it out myself on purpose, I was waiting for the maid to notice it. It was this problem that helped us move to the Superior (which we actually booked initially). All these small shoals constantly spoiled the mood of rest. languages. We talked to everyone in English, it's fashionable through online translators, no one speaks Russian. There are staff who speak only Turkish. The reception staff is friendly, solves problems quickly, but often the employee is not there (look for them outside in good weather). total. I can't say that everything was terrible, but it wasn't great. I am well aware that the level of the hotel is only 3 stars. But it's not the best three I've been in.

We traveled with my wife, booked a Superior room for October 9-15, 2022 with full prepayment through Ostrovok. Upon check-in, the receptionist at the reception named Sardah impolitely said that there was an error on the side of the Ostrovok website, and their hotel booking went as Standard. After that, he offered to move us to the Superior room the next day if we agreed to spend one night in a room in the basement without a window. And if we do not agree to spend the night in the basement, we will have to pay an additional 25 euros for each night for the superior room. We refused and demanded our reserved Superior. He said that such rooms are currently occupied and cannot help in any way. I immediately filed a complaint by phone to the Island, where they promised to quickly sort everything out. About 2 hours later, the hotel received a call from the island, the receptionist told them the same thing, but in the end he still promised that he would check into the superior room the next day, and today he can only give the standard. And we checked into the standard room. The room turned out to be on the top floor, with an entrance directly from the restaurant. It goes without saying that it was not possible to sleep that night, because the restaurant is open late, and early in the morning they start serving breakfast there – the thin cardboard door did not create barriers to sound. The room itself was in a very poor condition, photos are attached. A small window looked out onto a courtyard measuring about 1x4 meters and there was almost no light in the room. In the morning we demanded our superior again. But there was already another person at the reception who said that the previous receptionist had told him that we had to pay an additional 25 euros for each night for an improved room. He refused to connect me with the hotel manager. I called the Island again, they promised to solve the problem again – but nothing happened until the end of the day. I just got a message in the mail that they are very sorry and they are trying to figure it out. I asked to change the room to at least another standard, and we were moved to the third floor in the same shabby and dark room, but at least it was not so noisy. I wanted to change the hotel unbearably, but, unfortunately, the entire amount was paid, and the Island did not confirm that I could refund the money. On the third day, the receptionist again refused to move me to the superior room. After lunch, a letter came to the post from the Island, in which they informed us that there were no available superior rooms at the hotel, and offered compensation of 4,100 rubles for the fact that we stayed in a standard room for all 6 nights. This is despite the fact that the hotel demanded 25 euros per night for an upgrade, that is, 9,000 rubles for six nights. I couldn't fight with the Island and the hotel anymore, so we thought about it for a day and agreed. But these three days of showdowns can be deleted from the vacation, because they left only negative emotions. More about the hotel in general. We liked the breakfasts – there was no meat, but vegetables, cheeses, olives, muesli turned out to be tasty and nutritious. The room was cleaned regularly – also a plus. The hotel is located in the Sultanahmet tourist area – for us it turned out to be more of a minus than a plus. The sights are close, but crowds of Russians walk around and everything is designed for tourists – cafes of low quality, more like cheburech ones, prices are high, and the Turks almost grab you by the hands to drag you inside – I didn't like it. We went to the area north of the Golden Horn Bay and to the Asian part (through the Bosphorus) – there the city is much neater, more civilized, the establishments are beautiful and pleasant, and the prices are lower, that is, for locals. But there are also unfavorable areas there, it is better to avoid them. In general, the Mevlana hotel for outright deception of customers (and this is 100% deception, otherwise why offer to move into the basement on the first day with the promise to move to superior after an overnight stay), for the boorish treatment of the receptionist, for three days of vacation spoiled by a showdown, for a spoiled impression of Istanbul – a solid two. The island for an unresolved problem (they could have paid extra to the hotel, but did not do it) with all the consequences – a solid two. Photos of the hotel rooms are attached.
